This double bacon smash burger was created with all of the suggestions that I’ve gotten from you guys… some people want me to add mustard to the ground beef patty as it’s cooking on the griddle, some people want me to make the smash burger like an Oklahoma Onion Burger, some people say you can’t have a burger without onions… So this is my ultimate bacon double cheeseburger with all of your comments!
Is this the best smash burger on the griddle that I’ve ever made? You be the judge!

Well i appreciate that,..One Day for sure...
His name is Neal not Bubba
@@cwrichardson3, you making a funny, get over yourself
I’m going to second this about the cook book. I just cooked these exact burgers for my first cook on my first blackstone. To die for.
Looks amazing can’t wait to try it myself.. Thanks
Looks amazing. Can't wait to try it myself.
That's awesome how the burger turns out so well and JUICY and enjoyable to eat too. Thanks Neil and Amy for sharing the smash burger again, they are all good just that some are an itty bit better than others. Stay safe and keep making it fun. Fred.
Now that looks GOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! Once again you guys knocked it out of the park. God bless you and your family Neal.
Thanks Doug
Yo King, bro since I’ve started watching your vids, my flat top griddle is the bomb💣💣! Thanks to your recipes and techniques! There are a lot of channels for griddles, but I’ve found yours the best! Thanks for teaching me what to look for and how to be a master griddler! 😎😎
Hey I Truly appreciate that...cheers
Grilled onions are probably my favorite burger topping, and combined with bacon and Gouda it's even better👍😊
Looks great. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait to try it. The tip in your last video with 3 oz Pattie’s was the best I made so far. I was making them to big before.
Fantastic!
That is one amazing burger. Glad to see you are rocking the Traeger FlatRock. Love that grill. I will be making this burger tonight for dinner. Love it!
Amen…. I love mine as well
That looks identical to the bburger I had for dinner just tonight. Except I used crumbled blue cheese and home ground brisket. Pretty tasty. 😛
Summertime smash burgers with a FTK "Tude", gotta luv cranking it up a few levels. Never can have too much bacon or unyuns either. Another good one.
I’m with you on onions, sure makes the Oklahoma onion burger off the charts good. Will try the bacon for sure.
Neil, with your popularity you've nailed it with the Foundation of Daily Health! As a Marketing Guy, you're right on. Keep on Truckin' Brother😊

Again my friend...That looks awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Mmmmmmmmm, That was a great looking burger, funny, that's exactly what we're having for dinner tonight, but with regular hamburger. Keep these videos coming we really enjoy them take care.
Seriously a great smashburger!! Over the top with the Wagyu.....totally mouthwatering!
TY Rob....
Looks outstanding! I'm not a fan of bacon on a burger, but I'd make an exception for this one.
Just found your channel and love your content. I currently only have a small Blackstone but doing my research by watching your reviews and hopefully that will change before too long. Can’t wait to try this recipe. Looks amazing.
Same here, tho I've hand mine for awhile. This is the channel to watch, even the older vids. Except the bacon dust thing. Adorable woman. Woefully misguided on that one. 😄
Awesome! Thank you!
ahhahaha I cant respond...Happy Wife...Happy life
Hello, great video. Love that fried mustard and onion flavor. I have the same smasher as you, I find that it doesn’t need parchment paper. Try it sometime. Cheers.
I would ABSOLUTELY say that's the best!!! And i would definitely go bacon AND onions!!! Work of art bro!!
Thanks Paul
Glad to see you are taking care of your health!

looks friggin good...:) I gotta try this...
It's so good!
AG1 every morning for me but only in 8oz of cold water. Awesome stuff. As for the burger. My family loves the Oklahoma onion smashed burgers the best. I thin slice my onions and add a couple of tablespoons of salt to them to pull out the extra moisture. Before I use them I use a dish towel to soak up all of the liquid extra from them. 😮💨😮💨 Makes them extra crispy. Awesome cook!
Thanks for sharing Jake....I actually enjoy it....refreshing for sure...
I think that the train engineer, laying on the horn in the background, believes that it's the best ever and so do I! Thanks for sharing.

Amazing looking Smashburger!!
Get that thing on the food truck....asap...Let mw know one day..I can come over and help you one day...
I'd add a fried egg, but that looks SO FREAKING GOOD!
Love to meet who harps on dry smash burgers enough to get your frequent callouts. I'm inenept and haven't made a dry one yet. And the shaved onions are a thing, man! Grilled in like that they're gold! Keep rocking!
Amen to this comment...I have already got one today....the first mistake was smashing yoru burger...now its dry....ahhaahaha exhausting
@@TheFlatTopKing I'm 60. Grew up in Midwest. Every cookout folks squished thick burgers. Dry. 80's & 90's cooking shows demanded "leave your burgers alone!" I think it's a weird generational backlash. Passed on to you, bud. 😄 Keep proving em wrong and rocking your thing!
You're the king of smash burgers nice job. The best u ever made.
I appreciate it...
Just ordered my SMASH THAT!! I CAN'T WAIT TO ARRIVES...
Hey I appreciate that...truly
Doing pork belly burnt ends tomorrow and now this on Wed. Can’t wait…
Amazing. With that, consider this. 86 the mayo, mustard and cheese - but add peanut butter. It's friggin amazing with onions and bacon. May not be the go to every time, but it's great to have every now and then
Publish a cook book, I’m definitely in.

You and me both ahahha
i made these last night at work, people loved them.
heck yeah
That’s definitely one of your best Neal! It’s the onions and Videlia onions are the best! Have you tried incorporating the cheese into the meat? Money! Cheers y’all!
OOOHHHH no .....but I will ahhahaha thanks bud
I want full credit of course! 🤣🤣🤣
Great!
TY
Awesome Neal! I like to smash my burgers on the onions. It sears and infuses the onion into the burger, quick flip, cheese on, BAM! Never had Wagyu before! 🥺 I'd love to find some here and try it. BTW, that bacon was done when you turned it the first time! 😜
hahhaha Tell that to the wife...ahahhaha
Neal, I cooked Oklahoma Smash Burgers yesterday for lunch. As far as we are concerned when it comes to burgers….OSB is the way to go when it comes to burgers. We like it with pickles, mustard, avocado mayonnaise, onions of course and cheese, lettuce and toasted buns. It doesn’t get any better. Option sliced cucumbers!
Cheers bud...
Good video Neil Amy. Late in watching but electric was out from 1 pm to 11:30 pm watching Tuesday FRANK FROM MONTANA...
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@TheFlatTopKing how can you enjoy 101 degrees. With no tv. To watch. The heat didn't make a difference to me cause I don't have AC. anyway but I did miss my fan..
@@frankmarullo228 hey I completely understand bud. We have that humidity here as well. It’s that time of year
Made my first smash burgers tonight. So simple to make but I learned a lesson about having everything ready to go before anything goes onto the flat top. I was fumbling around getting the cheese out and it should have been on a plate ready to go. We made ours with low carb wraps and that's the other thing I didn't have ready to go on the spot. Everything turned out great (wife gave the smash burgers an A). I love a fried egg on my burgers and eventually, I'm gonna give that a go.
I've now done chicken cheesesteaks, beef cheesesteaks, salmon and veggies, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice and now smash burgers. Breakfast will be next. Steaks will continue to be cooked on the kamado.
Great way to start...dont give up on steaks....I say that because a griddle is my last resort when cooking steaks...but you mentioned the Kamado....try a reverse seared style....now thats a great way...smoke to about 110 to 120.....get the griddle heated up...finnish off by searing on the heated griddle...maybe finnish with a compound butter...
It sounds poncy but getting everything ready (mise en place) is a must in so many cooking scenarios especially when doing fast cooking. It's a really good habit to get into, just get some reusable catering tubs of different sizes and you're good to go
@@invisiblekid99 Yep. Lesson learned.
My next Saturday cook is smash burgers. I like shallots over white onions and I will leave the pickles off. This looks great! I need to get a mandolin. I'll be getting my hat and a ill smash that T-shirt tomorrow, ill take a picture.
Hech yeah...thanks bud
yummy
Yum yum let me have some 😊
cooking is fun
Hey I'm curious. Have you ever tried out or reviewed the Cuisinart griddle? The one that's around and has the dome lid? Just come up at a pretty good price every now and again and I've always been interested in it.
I have not.....unfortunately...I have not even seen one in person
@@TheFlatTopKing they are a couple steps above anything I could get. Lol. Like, thousands. But they look so cool.
Looks amazing as always. I'm struggling with how the AG1 is compensating for your calorie intake for weight control when it's a dietary supplement of vitamins and minerals
Metabolism, energy & stress support....when I am spending money on this...i evaluate my diet stronger...it aslo helps recovery..working as much as I do...i dont crash as much...not about calories...its about what I am putting in my body on a daily basis...
What’s the flat top temp you like for a smash burger? Medium heat?
each griddle has different results on the same dial...one med heat could be 200 degrees different than another brand...temp wise about 450 regardless of brand
Oklahoma smash burger with a little King influence. Definitely another one for the "gotta try that" pile.
By the way, watching some of your older videos when you were still the Charcoal King. You've clearly lost some weight so bravo to you on the hard work to do that and get healthier!
That looks amazing Neal!! I'm definitely going to have to fix one up like that. We have a place out here called In-N-Out Burger, which I coincidentally went to today, when you order their burger animal style it comes with mustard grilled into the patty among some other additions.Crispy thick cut applewood smoked bacon is in the some of the best! Excellent choice on that. Such a great video!
👊👊
In N Out?? Is that a pop-up? Is it new??
@@mandreadfg In-N-Out Burger has been around since 1948. I think they are only in six states though. They never sold out and franchised and still remained a mom and pop type of business even though they have over 300 restaurants. They are very well known for their double-double animal style. I actually plan on recreating one this weekend.
@TheFoodExperience lol bro everyone in the galaxy knows in n out 😆😆🤦🏽🤦🏽
@@mandreadfg oh okay. I never know when someone is serious anymore. Dang it! 🤣
Great burger. But what I'm interested in is that Mandolin. It's nice and big but most importantly it looks like you can adjust the cutting height. If so please tell me who makes it and possibly where I can get it. I've wanted a adjustable mandolin for years now but have yet to find one. Great video, have a great day 🌞.
Oh geeze Victor. Thats putting me on the spot. Hahaha. I want to say it’s 17 years old. I think its oxo. Let me look around.
@TheFlatTopKing very greatly appreciated. Oxo makes great products and that does have their design look to it. I have no idea why it's been so difficult to find one that is adjustable. Not enough folks use mandolins, they should. Thanks. Oh and I hope you folks aren't burning up on your local temperatures. We're getting a break today with some light rain and only 71°f as expected high temperatures. So welcome. 🌤😁👍🍻
Love the channel, just got my 36" BS last week. I also expected to see green chilis on your "best" so far. Next time, slice your onions into a colander, salt them and let the excess water drain off for an hour or so before you cook them. It will intensify the flavor.
I do have a green chile burger...if interested
Between you and Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields endorsing AG1, I'm strongly considering trying it out.
Hey I appreciate that....had one yesterday...I am not the guy everyday...thats out of bad habits...but lately its been 4/5 days a week
Awesome
This time of the year a slice of home grown tomato is good
Could you say about what temp the grill was at?
425 to 450 ish
Noticed you added some "guards" to the handles :)
Dollar Tree bench cutters....cheap and perfect
I pay for RUclips premium for no ads, yet all these good outdoor cooking channels are selling out. Except for the man Malcom Reed!
Selling out??????? how is that...Just curious...

I love the OK onion smash burger. Nice cook. I think you would burn more calories dragging the tractor tire around the neighborhood! Keep up the good work.

Do you reuse the parchment paper or a new one for each burger?
Reuse it.
@@jerryk9266 thanks dude!
Roasted garlic aioli would have made it better imo. Thanks 🤘✌️
Onions and mustard are definitely going into my next cook! Looks great. 🇨🇦👍🏼
Hope you enjoy
I’d love to sink my teeth into that! Great train horn in background
OOOOOOOOO, high zoot Matfer mandolin, good stuff. That's one of the better looking smash burgers around, might be due to fat content of the Am. Wag. beef.
TY
Please use the guard on the mandolin. I can send you a pic of my middle finger tip cut off. ER nurse said that they are the source of 90% of finger cuts.
Can’t do onions but everything else looks great. ( No- I’m not missing anything.😅)
Need to do those onions around half the thickness that you did
We have done them on the channel thinner...didnt like them as much
My wife loves my Oklahoma style smash burgers, she will not eat any others. I always use Wagyu Beef, either American or Australian. I like mine with an over easy egg on it.
Do you have a mail delivery system setup for Waygu...if not have you consider it...I am working closely with a company thats American Waygu...thinking about it seriously...its a small American farm in Mo.....family owned...only butcher whole style...not just for special cuts...so once a cut is out of stock...they do not just cull again...they wait and use the whole cow...great prices on ground beef...and many cuts available
@@TheFlatTopKing Good evening. We purchase the Wagyu at Sams Club. I would be interested in seeing what the price per pound is from the Mo. farm. At Sams it's $5.88 a pound.
Neal! You forgot the Green Chili!! 😂 But still looks like a damn good burger!

I used wagyu beef from Sam’s club in the past, and I found it to be super greasy. Do you think wagyu makes a more greasy burger? Maybe I should try it again.
I did not. Its still 80/20 but its a lot healthier. The fat is a lot different.

Hey thats a great idea....I actually might use that
I was thinking how close football season is and which of your videos had over the top viewing. Surely # 1 I would think is the griddle itself, from your opinion on it to comparing them. I mean what's the point of watching the cooking without knowing about the griddle. Just me I guess. Then I think about the games from watching at home to tailgating. Gosh so many stand out. would make for a great chapter in a cookbook. From an early game maybe a macdaddy breakfast, lots of variations, to the taco's, and crunch wraps, then those smash burgers. I would think these videos would be highly viewed even more during football season. You mentioned hibachi. I would even think that would be a highly viewed change of pace video for a game, something different since there are several month's of football. Of course I am sure the wheels are already turning in your head and you don't need me to tell you. You love your football just like me. But with that being said I feel bad to have to tell you and I do feel bad for you, I mean neither one of your teams will ever win a championship, well unless you move tp another state and I know that is not going to happen anytime soon as you do live in a great state. At least you will always have the awesome food you prepare. That will help a little. Oh. on a brighter note this was an awesome video so that does make me feel a little better.
