The C8 has a feature no has thought of. It is great for tail gating when football come back. Put your pop, beer, ice and potato salad in the front. The ribs, barbecue, fried Chicken in the back. The issue with of frunk are fate fingered people opening the frunk with the l loo I’d button in the drivers door pocket when they use it to close the door and then drive away with the lid open. Don’t pay attention to the warnings. With the lid open the car now will only do 26 mph. Bet you notice that!
Gopro hero 8 black works pretty well. I've had nothing but problems with my hero 7 though. Drones are cool. Big investment for how little I get to utilize it though. Yeah, rear trunk gets very warm. I wouldn't put my camera equipment and batteries in there. I tend to use the frunk more often because of the lower temps. Keep up the good work man!
Had me goin’ at 4:43. In CA, green fuel filler nozzles indicate Diesel.
Not bad at all considering the rear trunk is directly adjacent to a 495 horsepower V8 internal combustion engine.

How hot did stuff under the back glass on a C7 get the rear trunk heats up after you run the car and then shut the hot engine and compartment ventilation fans!

Probably the C8, just because it is updated more. However, the R8 is getting a new exhaust soon and that may tip the scales. We will see!

I would like to know how hot a average car gets. I know my black car seems to get hotter than my white car. Nice to own a black car in the winter. But much hotter in the summer.
Black absorbs heat.
White reflects heat.
Basic thermal dynamics.
I think I read that the average trunk can get as hot as 130-135 depending on outdoor heat. So really the C8 trunk is not that bad. However, I think over time it could get warmer and it heats up faster!
