Okay I made a huge 10quart pot of this. Only thing missing was Lima beans, roasted tomatoes. My store had neither. It still came out wonderfully. Everyone loved it. Even my dad who won't eat anything other then stuffed cabbage with tomatoe juice/or covered with red sauce. He believes tomatoes are for salad only. Lol. He ate two bowls of it. Which is a big deal here. Great recipe. I've already suggested it to a few people already. Great flavor. I did add some beef and garlic "better then bouillon." Cheated with a bag of frozen mixed veggies. I love this stuff. Thanks for the great recipe!
I just used the dice tomatoes in my pantry, I put about a 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder plus the Worcestershire sauce. Carrots, potatoes, onions, corn, Lima beans, green beans and celery. I used chuck roast, cut into cubes. I cooked my beef with some onions first in a little beef broth then I cooked my raw vegetables. Then added everything else. Of course I used more beef BB Roth and tomato juice.
Thank you Two Girls!! This was awesome...my husband just loved it, I added 8 small frozen corn cobs. I'm going to make your Chicken Noodle soup and Beef Stew! I'm a fan, great job!!
This is the BEST veggie beef soup. Reminds me Baker Square veggie beef. This recipe was the first one that I made that tasted absolutely wonderful. My one and only request is that you add the ingredients list on here. So I don't have to watch the video all the time. Yes I know, I should write it down. But it would be easier to copy. 😊 Back again. One thing I do wish is that there was a way of printing out this recipe. So I can add it to my notebook nice and neat.
I’m making this today just got an instant pot for my 14th anniversary! This will be my first meal I’m doing mine a little different but next time I will definitely pick up those tomatoes and v8
I do almost the exact same soup without the meat and I add barley. it's not because I don't eat meat it's because I like a really good vegetable soup. so I add a lot of vegetables and it is yummy. I still have some sealed from last fall in my FoodSaver bags.
Hi Elisabeth, thats the question I had I would like to add barley to but don't know how much or if I need to add water to ...I do like the meat in it to though so do you have a suggestion?? Thanks
Did you have to drain the grease from the meat? I only ask because I made sloppy joes last week, hamburger was 80%...I uasally use 90-93% and no need to drain. After all said and done I ended up throwing it out the next day...just curious what % of fat your hamburger was...thanks The ad oup looks great...
Wow that looks good !! I would have passed on the liam beans but other than that it looks great. How long did it take to cook ? I just got a pressure cooker but it is not one of those digital types.
i just got the one you use on the burner, and they are the best ,15 minutes from the time it seals anything is done, and what a taste, some of those instapots are catching fire, thats not good
I've watched a few pressure cooker and conventional pot cooking "Beef Vegetable Soup" videos and not one put "TURNIPS" or cabbage in the nix. I wouldn't cook soup without turnips. I've used noodles and shell macaroni, but I convinced myself to always use cabbage unless I can't get it locally for some reason then I'll use shell or whatever...I know to each his own.
I'm making beef vegetable soup today, it's almost done. I add onion, celery, bay leaf, garlic, beef bouillon and just a little red pepper. I wait to add salt until its done because the vegetables absorb the salt and it tastes like it needs more salt. So I just wait.
I am a new Instant Pot user and I absolutely love these videos but wish instead of quickly going through a list of ingredients, as very few of us have a photographic memory and need a list of ingredients for shopping and cooking. I like to do a screen grab of the finished dish and print the ingredients and instructions on same sheet. Please take the time to list the ingredients and instructions. Thank you.
how many mouths do your recipes feed? we are a FAM of 6. two adults, one teenager, and 3 kids. I'm wondering if I would need to double your recipes or cook as is?
I lost my wife of 29 years in september 2015. She made this soup about once every couple weeks on the stove and frankly I was sick of it. It was her go to meal for something quick and easy. Now I find myself wanting this soup but my previous attempts have been... disastrous compared to her soup. I know she used v8 juice and I thought she used the entire bottle like you did here but every attempt at this it has been so overpowering that I couldnt really eat it. Both of us never much liked tomatoes so v8 was our go to for things that required tomatoes. But the attempts I have done, the v8 has been way to intense. I just dont get it. On the stove I would usually bring it to a boil and let it simmer for about 45-60 minutes. Am I missing something? I didnt think it was cook time as this was her go to quick meal so it shouldnt be that it takes all day to cook. I just cant figure out why the v8 is so intense.
I was wondering why she was cooking the meat, seem's like just another step, and more time, which defeat's the purpose of it being an Insta Pot. I've seen frozen chicken cooked in the pot and it comes out good.
Maybe it was to get it a pacific way I’m new with the instant pot and I’m a little weary about not browning my meat even though videos show you don’t have too!
The joy of using my Power Pressure Cooker XL is you just put everything in, lock the lid, set the timer, then eat,, if I want to sear and layer and stir and stir I would just cook on the stove, this kinda defeats the whole purpose of having and using a pressure cooker.

I could eat that yummy looking hearty soup/stew for lunch and dinner for days in a row!! Thanks for sharing!
I can not tell you how much I love this soup! Thank you for the recipe!
Made this soup today. Very delicious, will be making it again.

I use V8 for my Italian sausage stew. It's wonderful! Really kicks up the flavor on it. Thanks for the video!
Made this today and it's absolutely delicious!!! Thank you!
Love it !!! Looks delicious. Will try soon :-)

The ad oup looks great...
would it hurt to cook it longer and let the pressure release on its own?
I gotta make this!
I use a giant jug of mild salsa and V8 juice, its the bomb diggity and a 1/4 cup sugar
My cousin makes soup similar to this. She adds a half can of Rotel. Really gives it some flavor. Great soup.
I add taters & cabbage to my soup and yes the sugar takes the bitterness out of the soup.
How come no one uses beef marrow bones in their soup anymore that’s a lotta flavor your missing out on without it it tastes like canned soup

I'm with ya...a couple bay leaves and a mess of Italian seasoning would go a long way in this
What kind of pressure cooker are you using. I don't see any questions being answered so I hope you are still around. Thanks ~
i believe she was using the Breville cooker
Did you do a natural release or quick release?

C D Hanks You can pause the video and jot the instructions, ingredients down...just sayin

taryn ulrich I would double it
Looks like it needs some rice & hot green chillies.

Darren Cole I know your comment is very old but I would do half water and half v8
Where can I find the written recipe please?
Wha size pot do you have?
You don’t have to brown the stew meat completely through. The cooking process will finish under pressure. So don’t waste your time.
I was wondering why she was cooking the meat, seem's like just another step, and more time, which defeat's the purpose of it being an Insta Pot. I've seen frozen chicken cooked in the pot and it comes out good.

What, no bay leaf?
Seriously season every layer? I think you were going to more trouble than is needed.
Is the Fire Roasted Diced tomatoes spicy?
No
I think you filled above the max
It's not fresh if it's frozen. znd she used way too much salt!
Did you not drain the meat
William Coley why would you drain the meat?
No don’t drain nothing to drain adds flavor to the soup

I was expecting soup to be made and then canned via pressure cooking. Maybe change the title so it's not so confusing???
