I've watched lots of other C# in Unity tutorials and yours are definitely the best I've found. Please keep making them! You're better organised and your voice isn't annoying. You pace it well and you don't umm and ahh or stumble through sentences. You explain what you're going to do before you do it. You keep in the mistakes. If I could just make one suggestion: when describing concepts, eg a For loop, maybe you could show real examples of For loops you've created and very quickly just say "This loop counts health. This one counts lives". This would give context to the concepts and that's very important for learning for me. Loving the series so far anyway. Gonna watch the rest now. :)
I went through these tutorials about 6 times a couple of years ago. I'm back again to re-leanr everything I've forgotten. These are hands down the best beginner tutorials available. Thanks!
I don't usually comment on RUclips videos, but let me just say: These tutorials are great, I have very little experience in programming, never have done it in school, but I'm liking it a lot. I know this is an old series, but I just found it, and I hope you'll be happy to know that people (or at least me) still follow this and learn a lot. I got myself a job interview at a game development company, but I have to show that I know the basics of Unity and send them a little game. I now have the confidence that I can do it if I stick with it, thanks to you I can now conceptually understand what the code means instead of just guessing. Thank you, Austin. o/
Last night I finished a monster week long learning session on learning c# from the ground up and as I want to be able to FINALLY program some games of my own this series has been EXQUISITE!!! I'm going to watch every single one of your videos my friend. Legend
"If you want this stuff, well that sucks...because I wanna do it." Ahaha that was adorable. I know this tutorial is old, and I haven't checked out your channel yet to see if you have more, but I really love these tutorials! I'm a completely beginner and it's making so much sense so far!
I love the way you go about making your videos man 14 mins seems to be the perfect amount of time for vid tutorials not to little and not to much info enough to keep people on a balanced level of knowledge at the start of their programming life. No dislikes yet(not going to jinx it) that just goes to show how much people love your videos.
I just watched until to Part 08. All I am saying is, you explained C# better than other RUclips C# tutorials. Clear and easy to understand. For people like me who have no knowledge of C#, these tutorials must watch!! Thanks for the tutorials! I will support it. Keep it UP~ Because I want to know more!!
Been looking for some really down to earth tutorials in c# (in reference to unity), and this is by far the easiest to grasp! Its been really handy so far, keep up the good work!
Austin, You know you are really helpful, you are so enthusiastic on helping people become the person they want to be when they grow up. Im just a 13 year old kid and ever since I was a baby my parents said I loved tech, a little too personal right now but im moving too high school next year taking some technology classes and this is helping me make my dream game that I have always wanted to create and I do hope you read this, Thank you :)!
I can honestly say I've learned more from you today than from every other tutorial I've tried combined. It makes me feel all giddy to be learning so much.
I've followed the whole series so far, and in this video I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of coding in C#. It's not that daunting to me anymore, especially when I can change it and see results easily. This is amazing. Thank you for making these!!!
Yes Austin, Pleeease keep it up! I'm enjoying and learning a lot from your tutorials. I'll definitely be watching the "Making a simple game in unity" series next. Thanks!
Just started watching these yesterday, and just commented and liked the one previous to this one. I realize I'm a bit late, but these tuts are amazing, and they're really helpful! Please keep it up :)
God I fucking love your tutorials. You get straigh to it, your voice is silky, and your recording/editing is great. I can read, understand, and copy code down easily. Keep these up.
Another great tutorial Austin, I really enjoyed this series, and I've gotten a lot out of going back and making use I understand the basics of C# before I go back and work on the inventory system for me and my brother's game. Thanks so much, and keep up the great work man!
Currently want to learn something about game programming! Really nice job on the C# series coz I watched a lot of different programming video already and I found yours are the most helpful so far!
Really helpful stuff. Well explained. I like the fact that you don't waste too much time on detailing every step so it doesn't get boring. And in case something is not understood, someone can always just google the info. By the way, some quick links to more in depth info on each subject would be nice too, although not necessary .
I like the honesty at the end of the video. I was thinking the same thing..I'm finding some of this hard to follow...how does all this pertain to making a game. I look forward to the next videos that detail how these concepts make a game. Thanks, Austin.
Great tutorials series ! Thanks to share that ! Helps a lot to go on with your, or other tutorials in C#, like the inventory or whatever. Hope you do some more Stuff like that !
I noticed how you said you should'nt repeat things so often, well i actually like that :) It kinda like burns into your mind if someone constantly keeps repeating it during a video.
the truth i don't know Beginner Tutoria is so useful l I am using unity about 7 years and the enum variable I see it in the first time to but i like this variable a lot
I like yours, do it when feeling ok, that 's cool way to show how we really work on it in reality, sometimes it doesn't come perfectly, some situations or causual ideas come as coding.
Love these tutorials because they're pretty easy to understand and I'm having no difficulty following along so far. If possible, could you do some videos about real code examples that are in real games?
im actually not learning much cause all the oo languages are more or less the same (so nothing new there ) but im recommending your tutorials to everybody i know that have an interest in programming. Also i dont have a clue about unity and its refreshing learning about unity with out that constant dwelling in the visual part that you normally see in most tutorials :)
I really like listening to these. I would like to make a game. I work as a 3D Generalist and I want to do more than work on someone else projects. I want to learn and know everything so I can make my own projects better. I hope you keep going with these and gradually more onto more complex things.
You explain thing soo good i being looking for a good tutorial for 5 days and now i found what i was looking for thnx god and thnx you i will like all your videos of this serie!! sub++
Austin, I like your work so much. I am learning a lot from your video lessons. Can you explain me the different between "Debug.Log" and "Print"? Thanks.
You helped me a lot !! thank you :) (had it not because I can't speak in English fluently, I'll explain more about how your comments encouraged me. if you know what I mean.)
I heard you while programming C# on Visual Studio 2019. I am doing a automation simulation on Visual Basic. I want to learn to use unity to do it on 3D. Thanks for your tutorial. I hope I can integrate dll for PLC communication with unity. Regards
Hey Austin! Ever considered changing your name from AwfulMedia -> AwesomeMedia? Why you ask? Cause you're awesome and you make awesome-sauce-worthy videos. Love these tutorials with C# and unity!!
