  • So many of you enjoyed learning about pine cone jam that I had to make a Coles Notes (AKA quick guide) version of how to do it. It is tastier than BBQ hammers! TikTokers will remember the reference.
    *Please consult your health care practitioner before trying a new wild edible. Only certain species of pine cones can be used for this recipe as some have toxic properties. Make sure you are 100% in your identification of a wild edible, and when in doubt, throw it out!*

    Looks very interesting. Never heard of using pine cones before. And nothing like a serving of grilled hammers.

    Which species are ok to use (and not toxic)? I have a ton of white pines on my property. Can I use white pine cones?

    Goes to show you can make jam out of anything given enough sugar.

      @TheWildYam  Месяц назад +1

      Avoid lodgepole, Norfolk, ponderosa, and yew

      @TheWildYam lodgepole and ponderosa, why?

    Why is American humour so cheesy?
    ...or does it just sound cheesy to me because my humour is both depraved and obscure? 🤔😶
    Responses welcome. Genuine question.

      I didn't get the joke at first either. Then, I saw the tiktok with all the hammers in BBQ sauce and chuckled!

      @@TheWildYam was asking if my humour is just so deranged that I find anything that isn't deranged to be cheesy 😅

    💁🏽‍♂️ Very good recipe. Many parts of our brother the tree 🌲, is eatable. Can sustain you throughout a whole winter. Many ways we do not share because it can or will cause the tree 🌲 to die. Man has a bad habit of doing things because they can, not because they have to or have no other choices. 🐎🐎🦅🪶🕊
