  • In today’s video, I'm diving into the world of Haskap berries - an incredible superfood gaining popularity for its unique taste and amazing health benefits. Plus, I'm sharing a step-by-step guide on how to make delicious homemade Haskap jam right in your kitchen! Haskaps grow well in many climates and can still do well up to zone 2. They are naturally high in pectin so my jam recipe involves only 2 ingredients.

Refer to these also as honey berries, french call them camerises. Checked on 2 young ones placed in full sun a month ago, no berries yet. .Will eventually make coulis ice cubes as I do with riverbank/ frost grapes, only 1-2 tbsp sugar per cup. No big gooseberry yield in 4 years, transplanted a couple of nan king cherry saplings, pondering how to clone weeping white mulberry! Yum😋

I tried to find / buy these some years ago with no luck. They're still not overly available in nurseries near me. Hopefully that tide is turning. Think you have to have 2 plants for pollination, if memory serves. The jam looks delicious. Have a great week!

To start as many as you want cut the new shoots of at the 5 or 6 leaf 🍃 stage cover to the last 2 in damp soil and you will have a never ending cycle of new plants, take some to the cabin because the price is wright.never tried the water 💦 in a glass with the slip of honey suckle and enjoy the pie in 3 years time.

Oh my gosh! I’ve always wondered what they tasted like! I have a mulberry tree in my back tree line but sadly I’m not a fan as they’re laden with seeds. I’m going to look into planting haskap bushes. Are they considered “invasive” since they are akin to a honeysuckle? Thanks for this video, AND for the description of the flavor ❤
