@@TheWildYam once stayed with my car on a spot up the Bonnechere R in Algonquin. This site had large Pines and pine needle carpet everywhere . Right beside the river too.

some short planks of plywood and a futon matteress made my Chevy Equinox great to sleep in.....most stuff i brought went in roof top plastic car carrier, totes....tarp to make a shower and shower bag and im good to go!!!!

I have a Tahoe and I think that looks like a good option for me just for a quick solo weekend. We have a cabin, I have tents, etc. But the simplicity of what you have done really appeals to me. Nothing crazy expensive so what is there to lose?
Yes, I like it for its simplicity too. You really just need your car camping gear tub. Pack and go!
I love the chicken round up with Royce. Way to go Royce. Your Rav inspired me to set up my van. I have a full size Chevy express cargo van I set up with a cot, cooking , bathroom necessities and all cold and warm climate emergency clothing. I forgot to put in the pop up privacy tent in my van. So even in emergency evacuation I have all I need in my van now. Just toss in food and water and ready to go if needed. What a great camp site.

Hi Jen! I’m going to be car camping in my RAV for the first time tomorrow night. I’m so excited! I have learned so much from your videos and love your set up!! I hope to get mine like that by the end of the summer. I definitely need to build a platform for my bed. Would love to see how you did yours!
