I was at this very show. It was as insane as it appears. I was almost on the front wall and on LSD. The energy was so amazing I can't explain it. I went to a lot shows in the 1980's, and this was the best ever. Th energy was so big you wanted to explode form the inside out and yell "yeah man, fuck you!" the crowd sang every song song word for word. We were nuts and it comes through pretty good here, but it was even better then you can imagine.
Im 52 now, but if they came back and promised this show again, I would drop some acid and go. It was at the Seattle center coliseum with a capacity of about 15k.
I walked out there soaking wet with sweat and exhausted. COuldn't sleep that night. Wow. typing this gives me that feeling again. Cool.

I'd say their best show was in Moscow '91. They were still youthful, energetic, and raw on stage at that time too like here. But the Damaged Justice Tour is their best tour they ever played. And the Seattle '89 show is the best concert DVD by any band. Btw this is the best live version of One.

      Meme Thief
His Black album voice is sick since he did a lot of Tuvan style singing for the lower notes. You know since he was constantly singing in a lower octave in the back album.
Before then he was singing high and didn't really need to sing so low except for like three songs.
Also he did less shouting and did more singing on the black album so it was beautifully harmonic.

It’s like zooming in on him and with the lights fading and his expression, it’s like a storms coming and he’s asking for help (because he knows he’s going to have to do the crazy drumming part lol). Then the lightning starts with a shot of James dead stare at the camera. Then Lars looking so badass. Those quick shots you can see of them playing is so sick. Especially seeing the crowd in almost like slow motion. Fucking awesome.

I love how Lars didn't rush the song towards the climax back then, nowadays everytime James goes "Left me with life in hell!" he just goes bananas and plays as if Cliff's ghost was chasing him. If he got the tempo right, his drumming would be a lot less messy, I think.

From 5:25 to the first lyrics of "Darkness Imprisoning me" is actually morse code for "Kill me." It's almost like the guitar is the soldier's pleas for death as he's trapped within his own personal hell as he becomes 'One' with his fate. A fate of being stuck in unending darkness, with only his thoughts for company, and with no other human contact.
No man deserves this fate. Ever.

    I can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
    This terrible silence stops me
Now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there is not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now
Hold my breath as I wish for death
    Oh please, God, wake me
Back to the world that's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live
Fed through the tube that sticks in me
    Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me
Hold my breath as I wish for death
    Oh please, God, wake me
Now the world is gone, I'm just one
    Oh God, help me
Hold my breath as I wish for death
    Oh please, God, help me
    Darkness imprisoning me
    All that I see
    Absolute horror
    I cannot live
    I cannot die
    Trapped in myself
    Body my holding cell
    Landmine has taken my sight
    Taken my speech
    Taken my hearing
    Taken my arms
    Taken my legs
    Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell
