Started watching the stream until Illumina got to 1.2. After that I got a job, started a family, finally afforded to buy a house instead of rent, quit my job so I could start my own business, went bankrupt, my wife and I took our separate paths, lost the kids, check back on the stream and Illumina has beaten 1.14. life is great.

William Maxwell honestly I was pretty surprised with how energetic he kept himself and his voice... I tried streaming earlier this year, averaged 20 hours a week, and a few months in my voice had become really sad and tired... I do not hear that voice in this video.

I started playing in version 1.15 so this was like a Minecraft history lesson for me, so cool! Seeing the janky boat was mind-blowing 🤯
On another note, hunting enderman was how I first beat minecraft (in 1.16 lol) and since I usually go slow (not speedrunning) I always just casually kill enderman while I build a base and get set-up until I have more than enough, so it’s cool/funny to see Illumina doing the same thing (in older versions granted).

I remember the days where I had to wait for the dragon to perch before I could make the final blow. The time where the dragon’s health stayed at 1 instead of none while in the air.

Bingoxz when did u start playing? I remember when they added 1 block of water broke fall damage. I also remember when ocelots took fall damage and I would go to the jungle and push them off big trees 😁. Hell I remember when the nether and end wasn’t a thing 😂 no enchants and day circle took 10 minutes instead of 20. God i have played this game for so long that I remember when creative wasn’t here and that Minecraft was on a website and not a game🙂 when all beds were red when you would use the seed “Gandalf” to see beautiful mountains because the mountain Biome wasn’t added. God how I have wasted my life 🤦♀️

I spent soo much time in 1.2. Kinda nostalgic to see all those weird things happening like the lighting bugs on village houses where you had to break a block and then place it again to get rid of weird light glitches. Also the dark outline of items and how they don't spin. And how items don't instantly stack on the ground and stay in individual mode. All that reminds me of the scary ages of minecraft when i didn't know crap and was constantly scared of everything and marveled the slightest of things lol good times. I don't even get those feelings anymore. Everything just seemed so much more back then. Luckily i can still choose the non-smooth version of light levels bwcause i like it more, it fits the game well. What doesn't fit the game thought is 1.9 combat update! Leave that fancy weapon cooldown to actual ans realistic fighting games, it just DOESN'T fit the atmosphere of minecraft •_•

If you look at chat before illumina falls into ravine and dies in 1.2 one person actually predicts that he falls into the ravine lmao (14:20 somewhere around there)
Imagine the editor. Having to watch 24 hours of it to decide what to remove and then maybe even another couple hours of it to make sure everything looks good, and that's not including the time it takes to do the actual editing. That would have been a nightmare

I made a world not too long ago and build a portal to nether on spawn and you spawn right next to a fortress
