Skagen Grenen Automatic SKW6863 Review

Watch enthusiasts are generally skeptical of a number of things. Two of those are Skagen watches and limited editions. This watch is both. I have several Skagen watches and think highly of their style. I like the Danish Modernist style...it's like a kindler, gentler Bauhaus! Limited editions are another matter and I just don't take notice of them.
In this case, my new Skagen Grenen (Reference SKW6863) is indeed a limited edition as Skagen watches are almost exclusively quartz powered yet this one has a completely serviceable Miyota automatic.
The "dark theme" is attractive and, although it has a 42mm case diameter, it plays much larger due to the "all dial" design.
I bought this on Amazon for $95. But is it a good value? Is it worth it? To find out, you'll have to Watch It!

I have an older quartz version. It does not have the red accent. The date window is too small, and it can be difficult to differentiate 6, 8, 9 or 0. Lots of Denmark printed on the watch, but probably made elsewhere …
