Southerner here. I think that day showed something beautiful about the US, that despite all our scabbling and mockery and fighting, I know most southerners would die for those folks up in New York, 'yankee' or not. We're all Americans. And that unity should always come first.
My father was in an elevator at the New York Stock Exchange. He said he felt the elevator shake and didn’t think much of it. When he got to his desk he saw papers coming down from the sky. At first he thought someone was dumping papers out of frustration. Then his co-workers told him to turn on the TV. That’s when reality struck. Also got me to join up. I never saw the stuff people around me saw. It still gets me everyday.
I used to work in WTC2, South Tower. I lost 25 people that day. And I'm not a Soldier. Never been. I have many who were. My roots run a deep American Red White and Blue. My great-grandfather as an immigrant went BACK to Poland to fight for Polish Independence his homeland under Haller's Blue Army. My father was a paratrooper for OPERATION: VARSITY in the 507th PIR 17th ABD US Army Airborne. My brother survived Beirut 83 as a United States Marine. And there been many before my grandfather all the way to 1637, where our family fought for this nation to forever be free. I am no different. For their blood flows through my veins. And even if I'm not military I don't give a shit this is my family's Legacy. It is our Nation it is our home and you will not take it away from us. You will not take it away from me or my loved ones or my children. Ever. For I will die defending her, my loved ones, and my children
This country won't be the same at all I miss the country we were a few years ago. A nation together. UNITED WE STAND DEVIDED WE FALL UNIFIED AS A COUNTRY WE CAN TRIUMPH OVER EVIL
yes, but there were terrorists hiding in those countries. And how much were u indoctrinated? They stricked first, and so we cant defend ourselves?@@joetay8817
This was beautiful. Sadly others will see this and claim that this is a dog whistle for hatred, division and white supremacy. On that day we were all together for a brief moment. We were all Americans and we all loved each other. In those days everyone was proud to be an American and no one would even think of desecrating our flag or taking a knee during our anthem. As we can all see, those days are gone. Every one I know from either side of the aisle wants to separate. To divide the country into blue and red states. We all know that even if the process begins peacefully it won’t stay that way for long. As it always happens, we will eventually come to blows and that feeling we once had of unity, that sense of pride we all felt when those firefighters raised our flag over the rubble will be gone forever. I miss my country, I miss our America.
Great memorial!! God bless the USA❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 thank you to all who served and their loved ones, for all the sacrifices and bravery to protect our great nation!

They missed the part where the USA killed 2 million Iraqi civilians because... well I'm still trying to figure that out. Something, something freedom and dead kids.
In this country, and this day proved it, we will always keep each other safe and love each other, and will always do whatever it takes. God bless these American heroes. Both military and first responders
You probably have low testosterone... or are thinking about the 2 million Iraqi civilians that the USA killed in the invasion of a Nation that had nothing to do with 9/11...
I was there as Police officer, still hurts to watch films about it. Hudson Co. Sheriff's dept. I saw the second plane hit. Spent 2 days at the Towers site and was called Back to Jersey City. I'm lucky we didn't spend more time there. Otherwise I'd be dead!
this was probably the worst tragedy on US soil in a while, besides Biden being elected, nearly 3000 people died. Thank you for your service. God bless america 🇺🇸
Every single one of my friends is either current/former military, law enforcement, fire service, and EMS. We were just kids on 9/11, we’re not kids anymore.

No puedo ni imaginar lo hermosas que eran esas Torres en persona, ni el terror que sacudió a todos durante meses
I was 5 when 9/11 happened. Man I remember that whole era of history 2000-2009 clearly. Seeing the soldiers on the news, reading the casualties, wondering when it was gonna end. Worries of more attacks on American soil. The people in the country not at each others throats over politics. Crazy that I lived thru that and am living thru this now. Felt like a completely different time and place but at the same time like it was just yesterday. So far yet so close in the scope of time.
I am 25. One of my first memories was of my parents' reaction to the attacks on that day. My youngest brother told me a few days ago he had never heard of it.

It's nice to see a company value patriotism over sales. Budweiser also made a commercial to honor the victims of 9/11, but many people criticized it because Budweiser also supports homosexuality. The two have nothing to do with each other.
On 9/12/01 American families raised a flag to full mast.each one a small act of defiance, each one carrying a message of “your may have taken one of our monuments but you cannot take our resolve,”
