The way he pronounced caSHEW is actually more in form from where the word comes from, which is caju (from Portoguese). The "proper" way is only the Englification of the word Caju (ka-joo).

I always found it funny that folks that pronounce the letter H as "HAYCH", lieutenant as "LEFT-tenant", and schedule as "shed-jool"...would poke fun at cuh-shoe...in fact, I am surprised that isn't the "NORMAL" pronunciation for them.
Left-tennant is the correct pronunciation in the UK.
Left tenant is the correct way of pronouncing lieutenant and the lew tenant is the Americanism

It's not just the pronunciation, its that he needs to add the clarifier 'nuts' to it. What other kuhshoo product does he eat that English speaking people will get confused? We just say cashews, like he did with walnuts.
