steve b IT IS NOT A SCAM. a lot of people cannot deal with working with oppressed communities. Because it is a very draining job with the emotional pain and lack of resources !! Social workers fight social injustice!!

She kind of explains it in Part 2. Basically, she had previously worked under the Mayor. With that political backing, it isnt hard to see how she was able to get to that salary in under a decade.

I am super glad I found your channel! I’m in my last year at McGill University pursuing a BSW and minor in Education. I’m applying to UC Berkeley Master of Social Work and Ive been debating on which program to specialize in: aging, children & youth, community social work or school social work. I really like working in school and with youth and I’m glad I found your channel. Thank you again!

Don't worry about it too much, you should talk to a guidance counselor or a teacher.

Doesn't hurt to ask. If you feel you need to, do it. They will guide you to where you should go. Don't be scared to ask!

Don’t 👏🏻 be 👏🏻 scared 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 talk 👏🏻 to your 👏🏻 teacher!!!! If you have a D+ ask permission to go to the school counselor and tell them you need help in that class like tutoring. Or you can talk to your math teacher and they might allow you to come early in the morning to their class and work on some work you need help with. Also,if your school has after school where you can finish your homework and have teachers there to help go. Ours is smart club,TU (Trojan university) and others that I can’t remember but they are after school programs find out what your school offers.

You can but you probably won't be able to be a Clinical Social Worker. You can find human services jobs though. Like crisis counselor or something. Case manager or youth specialist.

School social workers can play many roles in schools, including teaching in classrooms, training teachers, and advocating for students:
      Teaching in classrooms
School social workers can help facilitate the placement of students with disabilities in the right classroom or program.
      Training teachers
Social workers can provide training for teachers and staff on topics such as recognizing signs of distress, understanding the impact of trauma on learning, and using inclusive teaching strategies.
      Advocating for students
School social workers can advocate for students in many ways, including connecting with community organizations and other support systems to help students feel safe and succeed. They can also advocate for services and programs that address issues such as chronic absenteeism, teen pregnancy, and student health issues. For example, they might start support groups for students with chronic illnesses or make contraceptives available to students
