Naturally, people aren’t always going to agree, and I believe that tornado does belong, but I don’t like or dislike you you more or less because of that, because it’s you’re personal opinion and it’s what you think!!!
This ☝
fuck reason, it's time to cancel mike
@@bradenrueter7222 bruh I honestly can’t tell if you’re joking lmao cuz I’ve seen people canceled for asking if someone else was male or female
@@musicalmusic3353 wait... Mike is a female?
Except he mentioned objectivity. And with every criteria he mentioned and excused for others, Tornado definitely qualifies. Influence? For the past 30+ years, almost every metal guitarist who is transitioning from intermediate to advanced, they covered and were influenced by this solo
At this rate, Mike will be reacting to buzzfeed quizzes pretty soon
Oh boy, I cannot wait for Mike to find out which ice cream flavor he is.

Tornado of souls Solo (one of the most impactful solos in all of metal)
Mike: *gets mad*
He’s not much of a MEGADETH guy
We all have our opinions I guess. I like Mike's music but I also love Marty... I think Tornado is my favorite Marty solo and I would definitely put it on my top 15. Its just youtube
I don't know if it is as "impacful" as other solos, I don't actually think a top 15 solos list should be based on influence over quality because shit like Johnny B Good just doesn't hold up in my opinion.
@@matthewcorcoran9388 Everyone's list is different and equally valid, I just don't get the worship of old 70's pop/rock solos but yeah opinions are like a** h*les. My personal list would be based on which solos sounded the best, and Tornado of Souls is top 5 easily by my criteria.
It doesn't have as great of an impact because it is hidden on an album track. Is it jaw-dropping? Of course. It doesn't get much exposure to non Megadeth fans.
I feel personally attacked after that intro
Talking shit ,dream theatre could do a nursery rhyme and it would be the best apparently...
As a huge Megadeth fan, i actually agree with Mike
Yeah I bet if Dream Theatre did the Tornado Of Souls Solo he would be okay with it on the list
Hey, do you see Dream Theater anywhere on the list or in Mike's picks?
Didn't think so.
@@MarvinCZ give it 5 minutes...
Dire Straits' Sultans of Swing should be an honorable mention at least.
Yeah.
Pretty shite song tho
In defense of Jimmy Page;
He was probably ridiculously high
Not probably. He was
He is always high.
And in defence of the improvisation of it, it wasn't the most iconic solo of all time when he was playing it then.
Heroin will do that t your playing if you’re permanently smacked out
Tsrts>studio version. It's an emotion. If you dont get it that's just sad lol. It's far ahead.
Tornado of Souls deserves to at least be a contender. It's consistently ranked as one of the best metal solos, and so should be somewhere on the all time list.
The reason Jimmy Page sucked at playing "Stairway" live is because he was high out of his mind.
And his guitar was out of tune
Fr the guy was swimming in heroin at that point.
The album solo was pieced together from many takes lol
that solo sucks just because Mike made a bunch of absurd statements about Page being off tempo... well, of course he's off, he chooses to be off.
And it's not perfect and he made mistakes... because perfection kills music. It's much better some fails than playing note for note a recording. I don't pay a ticket to a gig just to listen the same crap than in the record.
And Page made many mistakes, because he was always going for different ideas, many of them probably out of his abilities.
So, he was sloppy, yes; thank to the gods...
He really isn't that good, and no his sloppiness doesn't make him good or different. He's just not a great guitarist
For the algorythm: I completely disagree with your take on Tornado Of Souls. It deserves the spot.
Yes
Marty Friedman rules
It's a great solo, but not a solo that has the same impact as others.
Those aren't the best solo of all time but the most influential.
@@DeYogs I dont know the first time I listened to that album and in particular that solo I was amazed. It expanded my understanding of how far guitar could go (before I got into prog). That solo is a full masterpeice
@@charlesmartiniii1405 it's a great solo, maybe one of the coolest in the metal genre.
But as I said it's not a video about the best solo or the most technical ones but the most influential.
For example Ritchie Blackmore's solo on smoke on the water it's not the best solo by him, not even close, but surely it's the most iconic.
Same goes for Paranoid solo by Tony Iommi or BB King's the thrill is gone.
Tornado of souls is really a great solo, but it's not as important as others
Could you imagine if Smells Like Teen Spirit or I guess any Nirvana song was on here, Mike would absolutely lose his mind
He was already mad at Rolling Stone for ranking Teen Spirit among best solos
@@iliketrains3495 I don’t listen to Nirvana very often but from plain memory I don’t even recall slts having a guitar solo...
@@MakiOfLonest it does
Given the fact that Nirvana is absolutely not about virtuosity and overall they weren't perfect musicians, I would say a place in the top 15 would be quite inappropriate indeed.
And I love nirvana.
That solo fuckin sucks
I'm starting to realize that mike is basically the gordon Ramsay of music
I'm not much of a foodie, does Gordon Ramsay also not know what he's talking about?

If you hate Mike, you definitely don't want to watch Finn Mckenty. Yes, they both have great information to share, but sometimes (mostly Finn), you literally want to meet them in person and ask wtf does he mean?
I think they were trying to not put all the generic songs on there. A list full of songs that everyone expects isn't interesting to watch
I can see something like that
I think Mike's idea of what "top" solos should be is based partially on which ones are more influential to music history. I disagree, just because a solo is influential doesn't mean it holds up in terms of quality.
@@busterdouglas593 its based on both impact and quality. When talking about the best solos of all time, judging them by influence is the only way to get rid of personal preference and bias. Whether or not someone likes a solo, the influence is something that can't really be debated
@@gabadaba5436I would argue that influence should be taken out of the equation entirely, a list of most influential solos and best/top solo should be done seperately because it's a different conversation and the two shouldn't be conflated.
@@busterdouglas593 but you can't take influence out of the equation when determining the best, at least in this context. Its not the most technical or difficult solos, its the best. When determining the best, you need to look at all criteria. The solos on this list should be a good mix between influence, technique, difficulty, etc., because that's what makes something "the best"
I think La Villa Strangiato by Rush is one of the top 5 greatest solos of all time hands down and should have been on that list.
More than that, La Villa Strangiato is the best guitar solo I’ve heard in my entire life.
My favorite of all time

Highway Star 100% deserves to be there. Every single one of your favorite shredders wanted to become shredders because of that solo (and the entire album). Plus it is a fantastic solo.
100% I grew up learning Metallica and Sabbath solos and learning Highway Star a couple years ago really put me in my place. Really cool licks, note choice and tone, and the harmony that follows half the actual solo adds more to the mind-blowing-ness of it all for the time.
Blackmore doesn't get enough credit. His solos for Deep Purple and Rainbow were so ahead of it's time. Some of them could've been put in 80s songs and no one would've noticed. From Child in Time, to Burn, to Highway Star, to Stargazer. Ridiculous guitarist.
People hating on Blackmore have never actually listened to him and put into context how early he was doing stuff that would become normal years after he did.
Hotel California is definitely one of the best written phrased solos. Gives me chills to this day and have heard that song since I was five.
Have a listen to "Stranger" by Jefferson Starship. Craig Chaquico on guitar. The song is so good and big, that the solo almost goes unnoticed. You mentioned well "phrased solos", so I think you'll appreciate it.
I really don't like the eagles either.. but goddamn hotel California is so fuckin good
I like them, but they have many songs I like better than "Hotel California", but I can't deny it has their best guitar solo. Nothing beats that feeling after Don Felder and Joe Walsh finishes their individual solo parts and they start harmonizing. They were a perfect guitar tandem.
Every time I watch Eruption (the live version), my mouth still drops. He combined so many different styles in that performance. One of them was influenced by his father because he was a musician in the Netherlands. I have to admit that I had no clue that Eddie wasn't the first to do that tapping technique. In an episode of Ken Burns's docuseries "Country Music," they talked about how that technique was originally done by old country pickers. Eddie mentioned something in an interview that he saw what these guys were doing and wanted to capitalize on it and introduce it to a rock audience (not sure if he said that word-for-word), but that's what I read.
That ending of Floods brings me to tears every time. Especially after Dime died. Mad Fuckin feels. Mad feels....

Everybody sleeping on The Four Horsemen
Creeping Death for me, but maybe because it leads into the breakdown
Dyers eve or disposable heroes
My favourite solos from metallica are the four horsemen (1st solo) ride the lightning fade to black (outro) creeping death call of ktulu master of puppets (main solo) the thing that should not be disposable heroes damage Inc blackend one (main solo) shortest straw frayed end of sanity and carp diem baby
Can’t imagine who he’s talking about when he says kock gobbling David Gilmour
What's missing in a list like this is; Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing. Such a legendary and influential solo.
INFLUENCE is the key word. No one cared about Dire Straits at that time. Or how fast and precise headband could pick.
OK... already a bit triggered by the intro. But, I'm willing to be reasonable
You're not alone!
And having seen the actual argent about why this solo doesn't belong on the list, I disagree with Mike.
There's a reason why so many people can't shut up about this solo.
Tornado and Lucretia have two of my favorite solos ever. But Lucretia is less well-known and I know that.
Tornado on the other hand...
Anyways, cheers from France! 🍻🤘
Mike’s pretty biased against Megadeth, he’s talked about it before.
@@Daily_Bassist Oh? I must have missed it...

@@daralenoach To be honest, I don't think his thinking is that simple.
I think that his opinions make sense to him, and depending on how he presents them he might have a point.
Also, I don't think he dismisses Marty's solos just because he doesn't like Dave's voice, even though I (myself) love Dave's singing.
To summarize, I won't sh*t on him just because I disagree with him about just ONE band.
Even though I think he's wrong about this band/song, he still has the right to speak his mind.

Completely non controversial list here...
I totally agree
Okay my problem with "of all time" lists is that theys how bias to older music and dont even consider newer artists who have made badass things.
At least Loudwire will give updates on new rock releases, but out of curiosity did they ever make a top 10 rock/metal albums of the 2010s list? Billboard is obnoxious and knows nothing about music so I wonder if Loudwire saved the day with a better list.
@@michaelflorczyk1394 I’m pretty sure Loudwire did do a best albums list of the 2010’s. I know they have a best of the year list every year
@@aidanlastname0187 Ah ok, even if the 2020 list is crap I should give it to my neighbors because they're stuck in the 70s and 90s.
It's because when you talk about "Top 10 X of all time" in ANY regard, two factors that aid to the content's position are:
1. Nostalgia - How you felt when you first heard it
2. Staying power - How you feel now compared to then, i.e. does the content stand the test of time.
That means that newer content doesn't get the same kind of air-time or consideration when talking about these kinds of lists. Like if you talk about Top 10 Games of all-time, the majority of votes will come from games released earlier than 2017, guaranteed. And it's because of the two reasons I mentioned above. It's the same with music.
In this case I can excuse it, the last popular rock song to have a major guitar solo in is probably Dani California
10:45 I strongly disagree with you on that one, but its your opinion so it doesn't matter.
Honestly don’t think there’s a quantifiable mean to properly rank solos as best? There’s a certain subjectivity there. Do we go with purely complex hard solos, influence, popularity? My favorite Periphery solo is Absolomb and Dream Theater is Best Of Times, but even than I can’t really see anyone putting those songs on any list. Also I’ve only learned one Iron Maiden song from beginning to end, and it was Aces High. The solo technically influenced me a whole lot as it’s the only whole solo by Maiden I’ve learnedly. Though I think their best would be Wasted Years personally. Also Burn by Deep Purple has a incredible solo, honestly one of my favorites. Tornado of Souls is a great solo, Marty Friedman is a great guitarist I think should be recognized. Maybe on a top ten metal solos list, Megadeth deserves a spot just because they’re very popular for metal and influential. Also to be fair the top five is pretty much perfect. Stairway to Heaven, Comfortably Numb, Eruption are all very obvious influential and memorable solos. Though not even on my personal top ten favorites. I love really melodic, emotional solos with the occasional shred included. One reason Petrucci is who I consider the best guitarist ever because how well he balances the two. Honestly I would include the guitar solo of Windowpane on my personal favorites.
Windowpane, a unique pick. I think Opeth's best is the ending solo of Funeral Protrait. Sounds very Baroque and dark.
This. Honestly though I'm sick of people judging solos or songs only by how influencial they were in the past while ignoring how skilled and creative some younger guitarrists are. I find it disrespectful to both younger and older guitarrists.
Sure the classics deserve to be respected for the revolution they brought to music, but so does their successors for keeping the musical genres alive and even creating new genres all together. Some guitarrists barely get the recognition they deserve. Kai Hansen was extremely influencial himself many guitarrists take him as an inspiration instead of slash, Vai or the other big names. Do you see him put on any lists? When he is added it's usually by the 100th position or so. What about Victor Smolski? Ex-guitarrist for the band Rage, underrated as hell.
@@bloody4558 agreed
I was expecting 15 Death solos.
“Part of the criteria has to be impact on guitar players. Also fuck Tornado of Souls.”
Mike I detect inconsistency here. But then again I think the best solo is Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) so what do I know

Beyond The Realms Of Death's solo is a beautiful melodic masterpiece in my opinion. It isn't the most technically ambitious solo but the melody more than makes up for it. It's my favorite solo... ever.
Truth has been spoken, Satch boogie is so underrated!!! So fucking groovy
Man, the Pantera live clip may be 240p, but the snare in that liveshow was M A S S I V E
Imo, when talking about Metallica solos, why the hell is no one talking about all of the solos in Orion?!? That last solo is imo one of Kirks greatest moments (and the bass solo is just heaven)
I like the solo too but its not as impactful or iconic as One or Master
Knowing that Mike is not a Hendrix fan per se, I like to see him developing a growing respect for him in the latest years.
"There's so much more to Page than his chops, that if you dismiss him because he's sloppy, you're a fool. There's a zillion guys out there who can shred Page under the table who never recorded anything worth hearing once, much less forever." - HeadDino.
Probably because shredding, while technically impressive... is boring. Metal needs to move away from shredding.
Who tf is HeadDino
Page is a great guitar player and his playing at the MSG concerts was fantastic. He was an exceptionally emotive guitarist who played some of the most compelling solos of all time.
I love jimmy but 73 msg shows are not the best examples of his talent. He ruins almost every song at that show lol. Royal Albert hall 1970 is his peak.
@@gigagod3384 Nah he had his moments for sure, but he was always high when he played, stage fright, and that was his way to get over it. Another amazing solo that people don't seem to care about as much: My Sharona - The Knack
I just went to remember. No wonder it is overshadowed
Guitarist: "write a really epic solo"
Mike: Best I can do is top 50
21:50 There's no better feeling than Mike having to say something nice about AC/DC.
I DEFINITELY felt that part about the Bohemian Rhapsody solo
When I was young I didn't understand why people held it to such a high standard because it's so simple and not shredding
Now though, it's literally a perfect solo. Like if any different note choices were made, it might be as iconic or perfect
It is indeed perfection, also important how the end leads into the operatic section of the song
The solo on We Will Rock you is the iconic Queen solo. Not freaking Bohemian.
@@Frip36we will rock you’s solo is way less iconic. So many people don’t even know it exists nowadays
5:39 the reason why loudwire didn't choose one of those is probably that they just couldn't tell the difference between the solo and the rest of the song
For me Blackbird by Alter Bridge will always hold *my personal* #1 spot. As someone who lost their parent at a fairly young age, the solo specifically hits so much differently. Like I can feel the loss through just the music?? if you get me
Not Technically the best, but the most powerful to me
The Count of Tuscany outro is up there for me!
6:26 lolol you said that right when I was practicing the intro! xD love that piece! :D

SRVs Little Wing is one of my favorite songs (not just solos) of all time, it’s what made me start playing guitar in the first place. And I think having a healthy balance of super technical songs (like something Yngwie, Eddie, JP, Satch, Vai etc.) in tandem with solos that are slower and more “soulful” (though I think that’s somewhat subjective) from guys like SRV, Gilmour, Knopfler, B.B. King, Clapton, Page, or Hendrix is definitely the best way to go about forming this list, hence why I definitely think your’s was better than loudwires.
Great video! I love how it's funny and also very insightful!
I think Highway Star deserves it. It was the ultimate showcase of proto-shred guitar soloing back then. It goes from bluesy licks to fast galloping neoclassical. Great song, great band.
It's probably the most iconic neoclassical solo ever.
did not see mike suggesting any of those other songs coming, really made me happy
I love the fact, that Deep Purple is on the List because they are my favorite Band :D but i like the Solo in Burn a bit more than in Highway Star.
If i had done this List also Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd would be on it. It's just so energetic and satisfying.

My personal top 15 (in terms of iconic for the impact they had on me and people I know for guitar):
1. Eruption (The solo that got my eyes wide about learning guitar)
2. All Along The Watchtower (The first time I truly appreciated melodic soloing and how amazing Hendrix's impact was on guitar playing)
2. Stairway to Heaven (No-brainer, everyone wanted to learn this when learning guitar)
3. Hotel California (Another no-brainer)
4. Comfortably Numb (100% agree with your comment on it)
5. Bohemian Rhapsody (Brian May's most iconic solo hands down)
6. One (Guitar Hero 3, growing up listening to metal, take your pick: everyone's heard this and it always gives goosebumps)
7. Back In Black (Angus may not be the cleanest guitar player, but it's a crime Loudwire didn't put this solo on the list)
8. Free Bird (Long as fuck? Yes. Overplayed? Overwhelmingly. Amazing? Without a doubt)
9. Crazy Train (The first solo I attempted at learning! Insanely fun, very expressive, and getting hooked on the opening riff alone had me spamming it on repeat, and when I listened to the guitar solo for the first time, I went "holy s@#$")
10. No More Tears (A personal favorite of mine, maybe not Zakk's best guitar work, but definitely his most iconic song, and what introduced me to pinch harmonics. That man's vibrato is insane)
11. Cemetery Gates (There's a few Pantera solos you could argue being on here, but for me, this solo gets my emotions going every. single. time. The buildup in the song was perfect and that solo hits you like a truck. Also, that outro battle with the vocals is one of the most unique and amazing pieces of songwriting ever for me)
12. Sweet Child O' Mine (I would put this higher on the list, but for me, Guns N Roses wasn't nearly as big a band for me. I honestly felt like outside of Sweet Child O Mine and November Rain were the only memorably songs. The rest of the songs were very forgettable, and tbh I liked more of their work with Buckethead)
13. Kissing the Shadows (There's plenty of arguments about "better" melodic death metal guitar players, but this was Alexi Laiho's masterpiece. The battle with the keyboard made it that much sweeter to listen to. Proof that shredding can sound fucking incredible and isn't just noise)
14. Satch Boogie (I'm so glad I had friends who were "outside" the cliches in guitar playing, because I never would have heard about virtuosos until later)
15. For The Love Of God (I know Mike is gonna hate me for putting it so low on my list, but in terms of iconic in terms of the guitar world, the ones above this I think had a bigger impact, at least on all the guitar players I know. That being said, Steve Vai was a true master of the guitar. There are very few guitarists who can make a solo that will stand the test of time, and fewer that can tell an entire story with just their guitar work. Steve Vai is both)
Great elections
Marty solos is better than all these
Oh Baby, that intro stretch on "Ice Cream Man" and Uli Roth "Sails of Charon"!!!
Sails of Charon is a beast of a solo, very underrated and overlooked, and I'm quite sure it had a lot more influence than it's given credit for, I can't think of many rock/metal solos so heavy on diminished arpeggios at the time

@@PJBonoVox Honestly, I think many of his solos from the newer songs would qualify as well, he's the one out of the three who manages to still be interesting regarding solos
Would you also consider "The Stage" by A7X for the top 15, or does it just miss the mark? I do feel like this video (and partially your own list) is a bit biased towards the older tracks and I'd like that one to get some love to. It really is a solo that takes you on an emotional joy ride.
Definitely not
Too new to be impactful and does not have a big legacy. Def good track tho. Idc what elitists say
Friedman never does a bad solo...
All his works are S tier
I’ve been a fan of metal and specifically Pantera for a long time. During the many times in my life where I have been depressed and/or angry, it has been the song Floods that has stood out to me. Every time I hear Dime play the solo, it sounds like his guitar is crying in pain but it’s a beautiful cry. I know that may sound cheesy or weird but this song always makes me feel better. To me that solo is perfect and is one of the greatest of all time.
The Floods solo....oof...right in the feels.
I love Iron Maiden, and I agree with you about their solos. I feel like they create tasty riffs rather than guitar solos. For example, The Trooper and Wasted Years will always be remembered for their riffs more than the solos.
Agreed, fantastic riffs, plus the trooper and hallowed be thy name solos are my favorite
Trooper is kinda boring in my opinion, Maiden have at least 50 other tracks that are a lot better.
Revelations is probably my favorite Maiden Solo, and that harmony part just after it is epic ad fuck.
Powerlsave is also really cool, proper wahbuse!
@@237iggy I'm not a fan of The Trooper either. Just using that as an example.
@@alessandrovigano8149 I fucking love Revelations. I also love the unique guitar solos and added harmonies to the B section on Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Hey Become The Knight. Love your channel man. What's your opinion on Motorhead? There one of my favorite bands of all time and I don't think you talked about on your channel before. Greetings from Illinois! P.S I wouldn't mind you making a video about your opinion towards them, but up to you man.
Rime of the Ancient Mariner will forever be my favorite Iron Maiden Solo
SRV's Little Wing. Yes, thank you!!! Free Bird & Hotel California are too iconic, yes.
Tornado of soul is def one of my favourite solos
How's the Keith Merrow? I'm considering getting the 7-string variant, though it's up against the Banshee Elite 7 FR-S and Banshee Mach 7 FR-S.
Blackbird by Alter Bridge really needs to be on the list. I get it, Alter Bridge isn't an influential band but that is one of the greatest solos ever written for sure. It just has everything, the tone is gorgeous, the melody is simple but fantastic, wonderful chord progression, the bends and vibrato are perfect and there is enough technique to satisfy my shred itch. I just love the shit out of that solo.
They are influential and that shows by the amount of covers people from Asia and Europe do
Yeah I was the one that suggested Judas Priest - Beyond the Realms of Death on livestream haha surprised you still remember that considering you did not enjoy it at all lol, great video as always
Dude, how can you not be a fan of AC/DC? They’re the greatest prog rock band of all time. They’ve been playing the same song for 40 years 🤣
Seriously tho he likes DT? Phhhhh...that's a generic trap band
HA! I like AC/DC and love their song....
I'd say the tornado of soul's solo is one the most iconic. Even more than any of the solo's in holy wars, and those solo's would slay any dragon!!!
Damn, I've never heard so much cussing from a RUclips guitarist. Subscribed.
You don't hang out with many guitarists, do ya?
God I fucking love this channel
When it comes to metal, the solos that made me want to learn how to sweep were:
Wintersun - Death and the Healing
Between the Buried and me - Selkies: the Endless Obsession
Just my two cents as a casual guitar player. What is their definition of solo? If eruption is on here, I think Plini or other instrumental acts could have a place.
Very interesting analysis even if I do not agree with a few conclusions (mainly concerning Yngwie and countdown) but in general I like your style dude.
I agree with almost everything You said here, the only one i don't agree with is the Rhoads solo, i think Mr Crowley is the right choice.
I didn't like you shting on some of these (specially the tornado of souls), but you made lots of valid points throughout the video, gotta give you that man.
Personally, I think the Tornado of Souls solo should be on here, albeit closer to the lower end.
Yes, good call with holy diver for old school over beyond the realms.
Solos are a part technique and skill but it's a majority context and feel.
Your picks are better.
Unsolicited but IMHO in no particular order:
Stranglehold (Ted Nugent)
The Bomber (James Gang)
Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd)
Hotel California (The Eagles)
War Pigs (Black Sabbath)
Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)
Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits)
Crazy Eyes (Poco)
Over the Mountain/Diary of a Madman (Ozzy)
Just What I Needed (The Cars)
All Along the Watchtower (The Jimi Hendrix Experience)
Little Wing (Stevie Ray Vaughan)
Back In Black (AC/DC)
Sweet Child of Mine (Guns & Roses)
Eruption/You Really Got Me (Van Halen)
Bro........ Tornado of Souls is one of my favourite solos of all time! It’s had a huge impact on guitar players!
I'm sorry to say that guitar players aren't the only people who enjoy guitar solos
@@guesswho22peekaboo who tf are you?
It's sick, it's not even remotely as influential as MD fans want it to be.
Could not agree more about SRV doing Little Wing. Great video 👍🏼
I am going to have to respectfully disagree about stairway. Jimmy Page playing the solo live (especially from TSRTS) is awesome.
Totally agree with the sentiments expressed. Especially those solos left off like free bird and hotel California, I also think do you feel like we do by peter frampton, beat it (problematic) are both pretty iconic. I have favorites not on this list by the some of the same artist, but there is a reason these iconic songs are overplayed , and despite hearing many of these song way, way too many times, when the solo kicks in it still gives you the feels.
