Most underrated guitarist of my lifetime in my opinion… Scotty LePage… the OTHER Polyphia guitarist lol Yes Tim is the main songwriter, creator, pioneer but Scotty man. His tastefulness in his solos and creativity within their sound is really incredible and even though I’m a drummer and love their whole band, Scott has stood out for me completely. I can always tell his playing apart from anyone’s and his solo at the end of Bloodbath is the Solo of the year for 2023 imo 🔥
I was thinking that they purposely rank the guitarist in controversial way so that they can get massive "attention" . The more people visit their website the more income they can get.
I would say Lonesome Dave Peverett and Rod Price of Foghat deserves spot on the list. Their skills on guitar sparked me to wanting to learn guitar. 👍🏻🤟🏻🎸🎼
And with that, Michael Romeo continues to be one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. It's disappointing that even Steve doesn't appear to know him.

I find Jimi Hendrix extremely overrated. His playing was very sloppy and while he was an innovator of a certain guitar style that many people imitate today I personally enjoy the Black Sabbath style more of guitarists from that time. Also, when comparing how clean people play as well as the incredible amount of techniques that people use today, it is insane how much better players are today than in the past. I don't understand how people can say that Jimi Hendrix sounds better than something like the solo from Avenged Sevenfold, "Nobody" Or anything by Guthrie Govan or Andy Timmons. If you're actually going to be honest too, all of these guitarists are just kissing butt because they know everyone else would attack them if they have any other opinion.
