That's actually not how the trick is done... the envelope has two pockets and when he opened it by pressing the two ends together, only one opening shows.
First of all yes I’m replying to a comment that’s 3 years old. But anyway basically what the magician does is he puts a number in Steve’s calculator so that no matter what when he hits equals it goes to that specific 12 digit number. Then if you watch before he pulls the bill out of the envelope at the end, he reaches into his pocket. That’s a swap of the bill from the lady into his bill from his pocket. Simple sleight of hand and it looks like he’s possessed
Yeah it was staged. When the ladies in the 2nd row were told to look under their seats, no one flipped over the card to see what it was. They straight up showed it to the Camera.
How he unlocked Steve's phone is not known but here is something I do know. If you multiply all the numbers the result is not the number that came out in the calculator, regardless of what the first few numbers he put in. He typed that number in and then did +0 x all thr numbers to give him the number he wanted. Secondly, since he knew the answer he could place it underneath the second row's seats. Also, at around 5:45 you can see him reach into his pocket for a fake $1 bill that he used slight of hand with and right after he pulls out the $1 bill from the envelope you can see his left hand dash for his pocket where he placed the original $1 bill that the lady gave him. That fake bill had that exact same serial number on it, that he put in the calculator. And that numbet was specifically chosen because turned upside down it spelled Steve Harvey. You can do this trick with any number over 5 digits. It's called the "toxic" effect.
Oh wow, thank you so much for pointing that out. Now how about you go on and appreciate the wonder and effect of the routine, consider how hard it was to develop, or learn to enjoy life?
I caught that he put the envelope with the original dollar in his left pocket after he took the one out his right pocket out with those numbers. Too bad you can’t manipulate the cameras 😂😂😂
Look at 6:57. The lady in the red and white dress is holding 2 cards at once. When she pull 2 cards under her chair, she knew exactly which should be held on her right and which on her left. She did not rotate the "1" card, which would look the same. But she rotate the "2" and overlap it nicely with the "1" to make it more like the letter "R". The whole thing has been rehearsed.
2:44 the magician picks the first number. 2:50 he enters what appears to be 4 digits and then proceeds to multiply. Let's assume this number to be "Y". If you multiply the 3 numbers given by Steve and the audience members: 9 x 1988 x 88. It equals *1,574,496* The total number (that said "Steve Harvey" when flipped over) at the end was *572,124,012,125* So the magician's number "Y" = the total number/the multiplied audience member numbers. That's 572,124,012,125 / 1,574,496. That equals = *363369.619* That means at 2:50 the magician should have entered his number "Y" as 363369.619 This is quite obviously not so since he appears to type only 4 digits. The magician did not enter any number Steve and the audience mentioned at all. He entered numbers he had _already selected_ to get the total number he wanted. Steve Harvey even suspects that the magician may not be entering the right numbers and hence the remark at 3:37
@@solomonluskimanzi9081 at no point does he show that the envelope is empty to the camera, before adding the woman's note in. The trick would be a lot more impressive if the math of those "random" numbers added up.

ST. Upid very good observation, I'm impressed! You notice the person with the twelve doesn't turn both numbers over because it wouldn't be an R then.....your absolutely correct, it's staged!
He refers to the cards as "them", not numbers. Therefore, each card would have to be individually turned over, not the number block. Also, that one upside down is still a one.
Or she's a little smart. After seeing the 5 flipped to a "Y" she knew that they were flipping numbers to letters, recognized she was making an "R," and hence didn't bother to flip the 1. Also, holding up and flipping over the numbers has nothing to do with the "magic" of the trick, so there's no benefit to making that staged (unless ordinary audience members are incapable of following basic instructions). Moreover, the other parts of the trick, i.e. the dollar bill and picking numbers, can be explained without the need for staging.

He reached in his pocket @ 5:45 and swapped bills while reaching for the envelope. So he planned ahead to just do mumbo jumbo on the calculator knowing the number wanted. It didn't matter what numbers they said as he could always recall the number he needed.
Yeah, he did the sleight of before putting the envelope in the wineglass. Out of view of camera is when he put the other bill in the envelope. He made sure to quickly pocket the envelope with her bill after pulling the other from the envelope.
Wrong. The envelope had the bill with the chosen number in it already when the girl put hers in there. Nobody looked into the envelope so nobody saw it. There was no bill swapping. The only tricky part was how he did the numbers on the calculator and I suspect steve was in on it and already had his phone unlocked.
Jeffro Doe nope, it was simple maths the first number he typed that he didn't show anyone was the number he wanted and + 0 *(. So whatever number they told it was the number he initially wrote that he will get because a number can't end with 5 if the number they are multiplying ends with 8.
To all the people that didn't like that trick and thought it was "stupid". Go try to do it yourself exactly how he did it. It was a well thought out trick and his performance was great! I am a magician myself and it is a lot of hard work to put something that creative together.
this guys got such an intimate connection with numbers. He buys those fridge magnet numbers and puts them in his bathtub, lights some candles, and just moans and sobs all night long
Steve Harvey's less-than-thrilled-with this peckerwood attitude was better than the trick with lines like "Big man Im gonna tell you right nah... I gone turn this desk over on toppa yo ass if it aint!" You gotta love it!
He knew the number in advance, When he took the calculator he wrote that number on the calculator, then: Multiply by 1 without pressing =, then + zero without pressing =, then Multiply by zero without pressing =, Now the screen will show 0, After that you can do several multiplications ( without pressing =) Finally once he is done he will press = And now the number that he already knew which he typed it at the beginning will appear. Try it it’s a nice trick mostly with iPhone calculators. Definitely he changed the dollar that was given to him and picked the dollar that carries the serial number that he already chose. The guy is so creative and the show is amazing

@@harshdarji1122 You din't understand what I said, she does not rotate the number 1! how does she know the card says 1? she does not even look at the cards to read the numbers lol
I'm damn sure the phone was already unlocked, I put the video on 0.25x and saw it was already unlocked, it already had that wallpper and the apps on it. For the number in the calculator, the phone had it in the clipboard so the magician at the end just psted that number while the question for favourite numbers was just a waste of time to make it feel like a magic. For the bill, you can see he put all the attention of everyone on the second row of people but when he stood up he put his hand in his left pocket where he had a bill with that number in the yellow folder and he simply switched it while everyone was watching the second row.
Basically Steve was hired for the phone to be unlocked I guess but the spectators were real. If you think about it, he helped Steve gain views for his show so it makes sense for Steve to be part of it.
The prime factors of that really big number 572124012125 are 5*5*5*557*8217221 - so none of the numbers 9, 1988, or 88 went into making it. Or stated more simply, it's an odd number; you know with 88 and 1988 as multiples is should be even. When you look at the number at the end and realize that it was not random in any way and was forced (it didn't come from the audience or Steve or anyone else or by doing math), you recognize the absurdity of the rest of the trick.
I am guessing the tip to this trick is to prepare a magic by planning it backwards. Add further to that the magician has switched the dollar note using his one.
A real magician makes a pact with a demon, they open up the supernatural world to them and assist them in their tricks in trade for their soul when they die, to serve the demon in Hell, but it's WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY worst than what they think.
Then the person is trapped in Hell and the demons laugh, torture, and taunt them and say "STUPID HUMANS"....... Their right, we are stupid without God/Jesus/The Holy Spirit. Look up Demon Magicians.
This is a different kind of magic the stuff in penn and teller is most always fast close up sleight of hand whereas this is an easy trick that will easily trick laypeople
Thanks so much for all of your Faith in all keeps me strong enough for all your help and support...thank goodness..for clairity in seeing me in you and understanding is correct, I am that you are Inspiration....the voice and reasons will get clear....
5:44 who sees him going in the pocket taking out the prepared banknote and pushing it in the envelop with his thumb when he picks it up?😄 5:57 he pushes the money in
The fact that it said steve harvey upside down did not make the numbers random and the fact that steve was trying so hard to act like he wasn't in on it GAVE IT AWAY! teLIEvision man I tell you!
The only way that equation works is it the original number he typed that he kept a secret was 363,369.61930922 and continuing on forever. Obviously that's not the number he choose and the final number was chosen before hand. There was already a matching bill in the envelope. Dumb trick tbh
@beep boop Beep im not sure how he unlocked the phone, unless steve was in on it or an assistant told the magician. Its really the only logical way he couldve known. I dont know every detail, i just know he didnt type a number at the begining and only has that part of the trick so you cant easily check his math. You still can though, you just have to work backward to the original number.
It's not staged. It's just that no matter who handed him a dollar bill, it's not the one that is used. Look just before he takes the envelope out of the glass, there is a switch using sleight of hand, and the woman's dollar bill never leaves the envelope. The number will always be the same in the outcome due to the sum he enters in the calculator before passing it over. It's a great trick, and done well, but not staged at all.
punkalert1 The fact that you can sit there and explain it so easily is what makes it staged. Even the people in the 2nd row were ready to do their bit. If you are asked to pull something from under your chair and hold up, the first thing you do will be look what is it. Or check whether you are holding it right.

2:44 the magician picks the first number.
2:50 he enters what appears to be 4 digits and then proceeds to multiply. Let's assume this number to be "Y".
If you multiply the 3 numbers given by Steve and the audience members:
9 x 1988 x 88. It equals *1,574,496*
The total number (that said "Steve Harvey" when flipped over) at the end was *572,124,012,125*
So the magician's number "Y" = the total number/the multiplied audience member numbers.
That's 572,124,012,125 / 1,574,496.
That equals = *363369.619*
That means at 2:50 the magician should have entered his number "Y" as 363369.619
This is quite obviously not so since he appears to type only 4 digits.
The magician did not enter any number Steve and the audience mentioned at all. He entered numbers he had _already selected_ to get the total number he wanted.

I love how Steve Harvey does that will his wonderful sense of humor. (Among other things he uses humor for.)
That's fascinating. Steve had a similar expression on his face after he made that blunder during the miss universe 2015 pageant
"Hell nah, hell nah! ain't no way hell, there ain't no way I hell"😭😭😂😂😂 got me In tears
And look how he put the envelope in his pocket after instead of in the glass, so no one can see that the audience girl bill is still in it.
Jeffro Doe nope, it was simple maths the first number he typed that he didn't show anyone was the number he wanted and + 0 *(. So whatever number they told it was the number he initially wrote that he will get because a number can't end with 5 if the number they are multiplying ends with 8.
He was like "You don't have to unlock the screen for me, I'll do it myself" :D
she turned the 5 over before he even said to do it. HOW SWAYYY???
The Way she is one of his crew
Haha you think this was stooged? (Set up) it’s not! I perform a similar routine every day. It’s 100% not set up
see how the lady with the 12 only turns over the 2 and not the 1. staged
Or how the the lady holding the 1 and 2 knows to put it upside down, side by side, to make an “R”. Lame magic trick when everyone’s in on it
It's not fake. This is a real magic trick.
I played it several times at .25 speed and steve had already unlocked his phone with fingerprints 😂😂
I think he did a quick swap when he rubbed it on his leg
No. Steve already unlocked it. That's why he didn't want the applause from the audience.
Be real how long it takes you to unlock your phone
To all the people that didn't like that trick and thought it was "stupid". Go try to do it yourself exactly how he did it. It was a well thought out trick and his performance was great! I am a magician myself and it is a lot of hard work to put something that creative together.
He never multiplies numbers ,
''Hold up hold- whoa you just open my phone?'' - Steve 2:11
One of the most astonishing magic tricks I’ve ever seen. 🤩
You just open my phone 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 that reaction was great 🤣🤣
at 1:45, pause the video. You can see the phone is already unlocked
Yes, it was unlocked.
@@markladder5203 LOL
How did the lady with the numbers 1&2 know to hold them close together when she turned them over?
because they are in on the trick, it's tv, nothing is real
damnation ok boomer
Steve's reaction after the phone was unlocked 😂😂😂

this guys got such an intimate connection with numbers. He buys those fridge magnet numbers and puts them in his bathtub, lights some candles, and just moans and sobs all night long
*How the trick is done*
Steve: Boi don't you dare expose my google history
Magician: *Gulp*
I swear, magicians get me every time.

I love Steve Harvey. He's so funny.
She put the 1 and 2 together to make it look like a R, and she didn't flip it ether
tOo WaVyY check back she did the 1 you don’t need to switch cos it stays the same
She flipped the 2
Spot on. Fake.
still be an R if you flipped 1
one is still going to be one if you flipped it LOL...
It's incredible 🔥💯
Uuuuuu
Steve Harvey's less-than-thrilled-with this peckerwood attitude was better than the trick with lines like "Big man Im gonna tell you right nah... I gone turn this desk over on toppa yo ass if it aint!" You gotta love it!
The only thing that came in my mind after seeing the thumbnail is 'NANI' 🤣🤣
Hahaha Steve is so God Damn hilarious ever since "Love dont cost a thing "
Steve saying He He HE my ASS is something the world didn't want, but needed.
He knew the number in advance,
When he took the calculator he wrote that number on the calculator, then:
Multiply by 1 without pressing =, then
+ zero without pressing =, then
Multiply by zero without pressing =,
Now the screen will show 0,
After that you can do several multiplications ( without pressing =)
Finally once he is done he will press =
And now the number that he already knew which he typed it at the beginning will appear.
Try it it’s a nice trick mostly with iPhone calculators.
Definitely he changed the dollar that was given to him and picked the dollar that carries the serial number that he already chose.
The guy is so creative and the show is amazing
lol take a shot everytime he says "if thats ok with you" xD
Unlocking Steve’s phone was the real magic trick...
Phenomenal trick , love it!! Steve went crazy!!
Ddddrrr
Ggggggtftfgfg
Fr
He already memorized those numbers but unlocking the phone was a good one.
Its already unlocked before Steve gives it to him
I love how skeptical Steve is
This always makes me feel myself , Steve your face is hilarious
Omg Steve was speechless the whole time lol
PLOT TWIST
the entire audience is in on it...
So is Steve
"If thats okay with you..." saying that 88 times. 😂😂
Garbage trick like the show garbage
As a magician that does this trick, I can tell you that NONE of it is staged. Steve and the people in the audience are not in on it.
Is it rlly random tho? Like how do you get every number right? Is there any logic behind any of this?
@@harshdarji1122 its obvious its staged. Check @6:56, the lady holding two numbers 1 and 2, knew she only has to rotate the number 2 and not the number 1 without even looking at the cards.
@@Darkaln Nope he was demonstrating the rotating thing on someone else. And then as soon as the magician said rotate she knew she had to turn it over. Idt its staged.
@@harshdarji1122 You din't understand what I said, she does not rotate the number 1! how does she know the card says 1? she does not even look at the cards to read the numbers lol
@@Darkaln Dude the thing was under her seat😂...obvsly she knows.
It's not staged. I know how this trick is done and he did it very well. He most certainly created a great ending for a fantastic trick.
How do you do it
I'm damn sure the phone was already unlocked, I put the video on 0.25x and saw it was already unlocked, it already had that wallpper and the apps on it.
Never seen anything like this really mind blowing trick in magic. Keep it up.
I am guessing the tip to this trick is to prepare a magic by planning it backwards. Add further to that the magician has switched the dollar note using his one.
Largest Classifieds LOL
He did switch.... before handing the bill to harvey
watching Penn and Teller made me raise my standards for magic. this kind of routine ain’t impressive, anymore.
I love your shows Steve u make my day with laughter no matter how down I am I love your personality I wish all men had your personality

5:44 who sees him going in the pocket taking out the prepared banknote and pushing it in the envelop with his thumb when he picks it up?😄
5:57 he pushes the money in
would have been more impressed if the guy didn't bore me so much going through the routine. and maybe turn down the smugness a few notches
I'm not mad that this is fake. I'm mad because it promotes bad arithmetics. 88 × (any integer) won't equal a number ending in 5.
First person to figure this out , so many smart ass people figuring out so many catches no one managed the simplest mathematical error.
The fact that it said steve harvey upside down did not make the numbers random and the fact that steve was trying so hard to act like he wasn't in on it GAVE IT AWAY! teLIEvision man I tell you!
When he unlocked his phone, his face was so funny lol
So surprised
2:02 that face hahahhahahahaha
Steve is a good actor😉

Steve how much do you make per hour? 4:30
The only way that equation works is it the original number he typed that he kept a secret was 363,369.61930922 and continuing on forever. Obviously that's not the number he choose and the final number was chosen before hand. There was already a matching bill in the envelope. Dumb trick tbh
@beep boop Beep im not that smart, im just a math nerd and i like figuring out the tricks to magic.
@beep boop Beep im not sure how he unlocked the phone, unless steve was in on it or an assistant told the magician. Its really the only logical way he couldve known. I dont know every detail, i just know he didnt type a number at the begining and only has that part of the trick so you cant easily check his math. You still can though, you just have to work backward to the original number.
when its this staged, its not fun anymore.
its not staged, it was use of a toxic force
Nasir Bradley define what you mean by staged
Nasir Bradley nah, iv seen some ok that isnt staged
That '...he he he my asss..' is just perfect 🤣🤣
It’s fake how do the people instantly turn them around as he is saying the question
All magic is fake tho
