Also when needed install the brushless motor rebuild kit . Once the bushings and bearings start wearing the motor becomes unstable eating gears. Always like your vids bro

Second day I had my slash 4x4 and the spur gear looked like one of the teeth melted which caused the clicking sound. Changed it over for a metal one.
I have not watched it yet but it will probably be nice

Bad bearings is my guess. I'm pretty sure you are able to set the mesh correctly so maybe a motor bearing. Of course a bad spur gear, that's the first thing I check. Afterwards I'll check my bearings and drive shafts. Stay safe. Greats from Belgium

Probably should mention most spur gears are molded and not machined so they tend to have a lot of runout causing your gear mesh to be inconsistent you should set your mesh then recheck it in several different spots then readjust by split the difference between where it’s to tight or loose and proper mesh. I’ve had Touring Cars with high quality machined 64p spur gears run near silent down the straightaway

Thanks. That must be what’s wrong with my Fiesta Rally. Ran it last week for the first time in awhile had no power or speed making noises it’s never made. It’s my fastest car. Way faster than my Slash Ultimate or UDR.

Ik this video is old so no one might see this but my slash is making a sound like that but not as much clicking and my gear is perfectly fine… it is also making a kinda high pitch sound
Will it be loud too if your diff fluid is really low or really dirty?
My rustler 4x4 sounds like a jet engine and my gear mesh is fine. Replaced my bearings too. I think they're just loud no matter what lol.

If your motor fails badly it can grenade your driveline, so make sure that it is good.

Do you ever run 64 pitch Gears
on my Bigfoot rc the motor will run but I can grab my axles and they just spin what could be the motor runs smooth any help with this
I haven't finished the video yet but my gear my pinion gear seems like it's not round and now my spur gear Waco's a little bit and I had the mesh set properly because it has just a tiny bit of movement until you get raid around to where the set pin is for the pinion and it gets tight not tight tight just you can't move the gear you can't feel that little bit of play until you get past it no binding or nothing never bound once but I think because of that it messed up the spur gear bearing because now I'm getting a lot of noise from there

See I have a problem where the pinion gear is not round and I don't know what to do about it and I've only used it for maybe 20 minutes on a to sell and then started hearing a noise and stopped
At least you didn't have aluminum caps on em yet. That woulda really hurt.
I race traxxas slash on oval running xl5 system. I noticed on couple of my cars and another racer sometimes when cars bump each other lightly in most cases the car loses 3/4 it’s power. The esc turns red and won’t shut off and have to unplug then car resets to full power. There’s no loose connects. Sucks being in lead and no power and lose race. Didn’t know if u or someone else has had this problem.
Esc goes into lipo low voltage safety from power draw. You running lipo's? If not switch that setting
@@brandonp4068 ya running lipo 2cell 5200 50-120 c. I called traxxas couple days ago they said same thing. When gets bumped looses connection from battery I’m running an adapter from esc to batteries. Thanks for replying

the only cars that should kind of make that noise is 1/5 scale cause gears are way bigger an made out of metal an thats how all the guys car sound like if u roll car without engine on. It sounds almost like change in ur pocket lol an my primal dragster makes that noise but when car goes on u don't hear I cause engine is so damn loud lmao

My slash 4x4 won't move. the motor spins and it steers but it won't go forward.
Does your pinion move? Spur gear? Center driveshaft?
@Barry Boppins All of my gears are tight and good, the clutch is tight, and the driveshaft spins.
