I'm so glad we got a version of Weapon Raid early. I think it's probably the most underrated song in FFVII (it's not even included in any of the Dissidia or Theatrhythm games, for crying out loud!), and hearing this gave me hope we'll get more remixes of it for the Weapon's boss themes in Part 3!
They might make unique versions for each weapon. Like, there might be a Junon inspired one for Sapphire Weapon. There could be an underwater sounding version for Emerald Weapon. There could be a Corel Desert inspired one for Ruby Weapon. There could be a Midgard sounding theme for Diamond Weapon. And there could be one for Ultima Weapon, too.
I just hope they do my favourite FF7 scene right...."aint no getting off this train we're on". I forget the exact words, but it's just such an empowering emotional moment after all the loss.

Speed this up to 1.25 play speed and you essentially get a modern version of the OG weapon raid theme. No wonder this starting motif paired up so well with the remixed Whispier theme in this game. 👌 One of the most exciting chapters for me in the game & I only wish we got to fight the new Weapon.
It's cool, they're obviously building it up with Rebirth till the weapons actually come out and the song becomes more tension and serious like the OG but modern and possibly a very epic variant when you battle it. I can't wait how they're gonna tackle part 3.
I'm kinda hoping they're going to pull an Akira Ifukube or some other classic kaiju tune for a version of Weapon Raid during the attack of either Sapphire or Diamond's.
Wow. Did not expect this at all. I've been waiting to hear this since Remake was announced. I love FF music and each song is a treasure. This one is especially though in the original. And too think there is going to be another version of this in Part 3 but over the top in intensity.

@@eyezfrfx4985Yeah definitely, I think they just wanted to introduce the fact that there isn't just 3 weapons and we kill them all and leave nothing else protecting the planet in that sense, there was already, diamon, ruby, and emerald weapon references with the tiara's in remake so they gotta come back
IMO these Weapons are "New" as in they were created recently due to recent problems where as I believe Ultima, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond and Sapphire were likely ancient weapons created to deal with Jenova, they will likely awaken in part 3 and are massively more powerful then these modern Weapons.

Weapon Raid is one of my favourite OST in the FF Franchise and I am glad to see this legendary OST is getting the attention it deserves.
