I made many mistakes this game (skorpehk lord revival a big one) but it's still one of the best 40k games I've ever played in terms of fun. Honestly JonP should have won this and I fully concede the victory to him. I hope for a rematch when we know our armies a bit better. It would be a blast
@@hellsing7310 I ain't bricky, but in terms of models/actual tabletop try a start collecting box or a unit set you would like, you don't have to start big (in fact I highly advise against starting big). Find the army by looking through rules on wahapedia and find discord servers with question or noobie help tabs. In terms of playing and learning it's mostly experience in combination with reading so if you can't afford a big enough army to play a small game with a buddy or a local gamestore I recommend checking out Tabletop simulator for gameplay, feeling out armies, etc.

Leman Russ Plasma Executioner Basilisk Commissar, Lord Commissar, and Commissar Yarrick Scout and Armored Sentinels Manticore looks great as well, so I guess that is on the list. One day we'll have our codex where the best stuff isn't just Demolisher Tank Commander, Bullgryn, and Full Payload Manticore.
@@mcarrowtime7095 Oh its certainly fun to play, I use at least half the stuff on the list (Nearly all actually now that I look at it...), and its pretty nice to see how other people react to the funny rules that exist (Such as the Chemdog's auto Hit and always wound on 2s shenanigans), its just once the shock ends and they actually start punching back, you tend to die and lose board control, losing the game. I actually try to go out of my way to not be meta, because I tend to find meta playstyles as boring and repetitive, so while it gets frustrating when you lose because your not bringing 3 Tank Commanders with Demolisher Cannons, 4 Guard Squads with Mortars and 2 barebones, a few Platoon Comanders shouting move-move-move and 2 Manticores with Full Payload. Oh, and always bringing the Reroll shot dice and 18" RF Custom Guard. There's nothing wrong with playing meta or not, its just one tends to win games slightly more often and seems repetitive (To me at least). Man, I really need to get used to condensing down my ideas to not have to write TL:DRs
I love those dakka bots. I take them in a squad of 4, and hearing my opponent's reaction when I fire 72 S7 (with the Mars canticle) AP-2 shots downrange never gets old.
I'm a necrons main and enjoy them a lot. A good tip for necrons when you've got doomstalkers is to actually move them up. I know it sucks to have to fire with the low power, however, their sentinel construct ability slaps and is seriously underused.
I actually really enjoyed the longer versions with all the movements and commentators. I’m trying to learn how to play and it was cool to see you pros go at it. Plus I only watch on my breaks so it takes me like 3 days to watch one game lol

@@fatmanboozer1760 nope, the only restrictions of where you can reanimate is if you were not in engagement range and reanimate into it: not allowed. If you are in the charge phase when reanimating, you cannot reanimate closer than you started. Thats it. Other than that you can revive wherever you want in coherency

I've seen this happen a few times, but in round one JonP has the canticle to reroll all 1s. It's not just to hit, but also to wound. It's not very smart and you'd think "hmmm. That doesn't make sense". You'd be right
I only started watching this channel recently and this is the third game between Bricky and JohnP. In all 3 games JohnP goes on a rolling streak when saving that just prevents 2 or 3 important units from dying for like 1.5 - 2 turns. Just absolutely soaking attacks from Bricky's units. JohnP's ability to just stay alive is impressive.
I haven't played this game before, but I am curious to know what was happening at 1:09:05 that made everyone else freak out Bricky almost shit himself over. Why was he so scared?
Because one bot did a bunch of hits and damage and there was more stuff coming and that was on a very important unit that basically buffed most of his army
Yes, you score a point per kill, this counts even if the killed thing reanimated. As far as working well, idk, i have a friend who tries that, and depending on the build of crons, even though you can score multiple points per body, the bodies are still almost as tough as marines. If running a more fragile list, yes ttr isnt a bad one, but if they are running a chrono, cover arcana, dont move dynasty, etc, tts is just not fast enough

@@BigJaseNZ they did simplify it kinda, in that they removed firing arcs so a model can draw line of sight from any part of the model OR base to the other model/base.
