You know, here I was thinking a lone custode charging a lord of skulls was going to be just a suicide mission, and instead became the most lore accurate thing ever.
When you have more player interaction these vids are so much more entertaining. Also the amount of player banter and plays made are hilarious. I love this and need more episodes like this format.
If you were to actually improve this mission, I have a suggestion: A mission secondary that scores when you remove models from more than 1 player's army in a turn. It'd have to be pretty good- to compete with other secondaries -but tuned right, it could encourage players to split attacks and not wipe one player off the board instantly.
I think there's a lot of ways to use to points/secondaries to make the game a close match, but it might cause weird scenarios where the army that ran and hid wins the match. Something like "You lose if the army to your right is destroyed first" or "you win if you have at least one unit when a specific army is destroyed" could encourage aggressive playing, while discouraging ganging up on on armies.
It would be neat to see some team games from you guys. 2v2 is pretty popular game format for Age of Sigmar,at least over here in europe so I don't see why it wouldn't work well in 40k.

Honestly if there was a roll for betrayals or allegiance breaking the 4 way would get more interesting. Up the army points to 1500 go in a 2v2 but at the end of every turn you roll to see if your army betrays your ally or if you just break the alliance. Absolute CHAOS!

Note that custodians with shields cannot have misericordias. Thats a minor mistake that idont believe will change much but i catch myself trying to use it on them all the time.
I think the best part about these 4 ways is them interacting with each other. The humor and the way it seems like a genuine good time warms the heart. It reminds me of when Critical Role first started, I just hope that as these guys get more popular they don't follow in Critical Role's shoes and just end up all production and distant. Just a thought experiment what if you had some sort of system, where each team was incentivized to go after a different team, kinda like a bounty system and everyone knew who they were after and who they had to defend against, like the tyranids got points for killing custodians, and custodians got points for killing tau, and tau got points for killing chaos, and chaos got points for killing tyranids, so there was points for being the last group alive too, so you could win if you just destroyed your target and the other two groups killed you still but if it’s close then the survived of it all would win
And like Brick said, ganging up holds this format back a bit. The best would be if everyone could agree to play narratively and make their war decisions based off of lore and such. Chaos goes after psyche heavy, imperium attacks the biggest threat, Nids whoever is closest. and Tau... Whatever helps the greatest good?
I'd love to see more free-for-all games!! ya'll should each be able to place an amount of terrain pieces for these free-for-all matches imo, that way if any one player is worried about a particular area or something they can put up a bunker or a way to block LOS or something of the sort for a bit more agency in the free for all match :D
