Question... I have the older model and when recording the bright blue LED light stays on and it’s annoying.. Does the LED light on this one stays on like that? Or is this just a flash of red and that’s it.. because the LED light was so bright and attracts attention even during the day time.
I was debating whether to pick up the 3 pack during Prime Day but didn't know much about the Blink system. Watched your video - I think I got it now. Thanks for the video as it's very informative.
I live in an apt bldg. My neighbor likes to smear unk substances on my apt door. Be specific and tell me which camera, brand etc, would you put on your apt door to capture this and how would you hide it on your apt door? Keep in mind there are many apts on the floor so camera has to be on my apt door only.
Question: Can i buy this as a stand alone camera? I've got a feeling that it includes memberships (i really don't want Alexa in my home...) and more add one devices and such, or am i wrong?
Wait a subscription service? Is that why I can't buy the Sync Module 2 anywhere? Please tell me I have the option for both because I am not paying for a sub service every month across multiple cameras...
hi i enjoyed watchn this review & settled on buying the 3pk indoor set along with the mini...but my video is only displaying in black/white & not the vivid color...i followed all the steps over & over again & still cant get it to record/view hd color....any tips would help

Great video, I've got the blink XT2 outdoor with the module and just noticed a slot to insert a thumb drive. At this point, can we store videos on to it now or would have to wait for blink subscription to kick in? I'm assuming if we are not going to go ahead with subscription, we can save all videos to the thumb drive? lastly i could add a Blink indoor to my current module right? Thank you
Hi Neutral. Not sure my first response went through. You can use the thumb drive for more. You can save your videos, and kind of. You'll probably want a new module to do everything its capable of.
I bought the 2 camera ones. I installed one in Florida. And I thought I can add the second in south America. I guess not? Right? I need that little box here in south America too????
Blink cameras can't operate offline and require a 2.4 GHz (or merged) Wi-Fi-based Internet connection. One important reason is because cameras use Wi-Fi to send images and notifications. Blink systems minimally require a high speed connection of at least 2 Mbps upload speed.

I have 3 of the indoor ones, and I think they are great .BUT one drawback is you cannot turn them off using the app .I have 0ne other camera ( diff make ) that has what is called privacy mode.So when you are at home you can turn that camera totally off within the app.( if you worry about scammers somehow seeing through the camera.) Only way to turn the Blink camera off is to unplug it or take batteries out .Which is not practical especially if you have to go round 3 or more camera doing that .Shame.
What i do now is i cover the lounge camera over with a cloth .Not worried about other 2 cameras as not in those rooms on a long time basis. Its not ideal ,but the only way to stop them being viewed through if scammed .Personally I am surprised that Blink did not put the turn off option in the App.
@@SecurityDotOrg Do you have any recommendations for a ceiling mount camera. So a dome type that looks more like a disc (smoke alarm etc) that is not so prominent?
Hmmm... Blink Indoor = 70$. Blink Mini = 25$ + Power Bank (about 20€, very likely already available)... Or am I missing something (except for the formfactor)?
Flash drive. do you have to remove and put if your pc to view. ?

What is lost it I cover the blinking light in the front face of the camera? Can I turn the blinking light off?
Sorry we don't understand your question, can you try again?

Do they still offer storage with the current sync module? or it has to be cloud?

If you are not home and not connected with the Wi-Fi you can't stream from your mobile device?
Hi Abadir! You can with your cellular connection as long as the Blink is connected to Wifi.

According to Blink's FAQ page, you can't use it as a stand alone camera.

The tool is also an adapter to give you additional mounting positions. Just set it up that adapter is awesome 👌
Thanks for sharing with the channel!

Here is a link to their latest model amzn.to/3eYBlZE

Do I have to purchase the sync module In order for the camera to work or can I just buy the camera and connect it to WiFi
Yes Blink requires a syn module.
I got it to work without the sync module when I first bought it, but all instructions to do this seem to have disappeared.
was interested, but the fact the Blink Sync Module 2 is still unavailable makes it a non-starter for me.

@@SecurityDotOrgJust wondering what the new module could do vs the XT 2 module I'm using now. Thank you

That is correct.
Does this also do remote pan and tilt?
No it doesn't, that would be awesome
Hey another question can the set up work while over seas ?
Yes as long the phone connected to the camera is connected to the same wifi.
Hey man, been watching for a while. I am wondering if you can do the simplicam outdoor kit? Thanks, keep going strong 💪
Thanks for the idea!
Hey I just bought the blink cameras 3 of them to be exact does it come with a sync module automatically or do I need to order that separately?
If You Bough On Amazon, It Comes With A Kit. The Kits On Amazon Have The Module When You Buy Two Cameras Or More. Usually You Have To Buy Separately.
Excellent video.
You are too kind.
Has anyone tried Blink with homeassistant? Looking for indoors and outdoor cameras that i can use with homeassistant and homekit bridge.
What if WiFi connection is temporary lost , would it reconnect automatically? Will it still record without WiFi ?

Yes mine reconnect automatically if wi fi drops off.

@@John-ob7dh which camera has the off button in the app? That is what i am needing.
How’s the battery life? Is it draining fast?
Mine doesn't see a ton of action. Usually just depends on usage!
Can you stop the red blinking so the camera isn't as obvious?
Not that we are aware of.

Thank you!
Do u have to pay a month for it?
For some aspects, yes, but not generally.
Thanks
I’m sold but I’m still watching

Do they record 24/7 or only when something goes through the activity zone? If not, are there cameras that do record 24/7?
They do not offer continuous recording. Ring, Google Nest and Eufy all claim to have continuous recording options.
Closed captions on this video are absolutely useless 🤣
