Our heroes are getting old. The songs are timeless, fortunately.
If this is not one of the finest slices of Jangly Indie-Pop ever!!! then I don't know what is!
The transformation from their eps/Nowhere etc to this is epic. Retaining the backing vocals but adding a loud pop sound, too. They couldn't continue the wall of sound forever and this was a great turn of creativity. They hit a fork in the road after this LP but have still made x100 better songs than most bands. Don't care how they might have had wobbly output since 92/93, up to and including this LP, Ride were peerless. Their music stands so strong many years on. And people, young people, will be writing similar comments on here 20, 30, 40 years from now.
And somehow avoided being a hit!

I’m an American unfortunately most people aren’t that familiar with ride over here. Fortunately I found them online a few years back.
I saw them at the Neptune on this tour. I could not have been more happy, it was an exceptional show.
