yea I knew from the conversation on the phone they would think it was $300 for both so it was not a shock at all when he said that......but then as you pointed out once he ask and said he had seen $250 then he should have also seen $300 and known it was per car.......can't blame them for trying though and more so if they had seen the videos they should have known they needed to park in the proper spot and call for removal of those that were in their spots
If you noticed he had partial cash in his wallet and then the rest in a completely different pocket. Looks like he was trying to hide part of the money to “act” like that’s what he heard

They dont want to be recorded, they dont want to pay $300 a piece for the tow. They should have called whoever rented them the rooms to tell them that their assigned parking spots already had somebody else parked there. Absolute idiots.
And on top of all that this couple didnt even show up until 1pm! They were supposed to there at 10am!

Think of all the tows Jeff missed sitting there waiting for them.
Since starting the appointments, you should also institute a waiting fee for EA for say every 15 minutes waiting time. Appointment time 10:00 AM customer shows up at 10:20 X amount of $ gets added on.
I wouldn't be surprised if they come here and argue with everyone in the comments.

❤ Jeff, you have the patience of a saint. There is NO WAY I would have sat there waiting for them for more than 30 minutes. (I am a former tow truck operator). The fact that they first of all argued with you after making you wait for over 2.5 hours is beyond unreasonable. Then, add the fact that they "miraculously" had the entire $600 is also beyond unreasonable. AND accusing you of breaking into their car is infuriating. The entitlement in that couple is just astonishing.
Were it me, I would have gone on the other calls I had in queue, and would have returned when through. Love all y'all, mean it. ❤

Maybe you should charge $50/15 minutes that you wait past the agreed upon appointment time. Our daycare charges $10/minute when people are late picking up their children 💰

Shows up almost 3 hours later and still wants to argue over the costs, then accuses you of being in his car. People don't have any problem dropping $300 while shopping, eating etc. while in Gatlinburg but when they get caught in a situation like this they lose their minds.

Actually, in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Dollywood area, the taxi/Lyft/Uber situation is piss poor. A couple of years ago we visited the area and unexpectedly needed a ride, and our wait was going to be 4 hours in the middle of the afternoon during the week. Thankfully, some nice person took pity on my wife and I and gave us a ride for free.

I rented a cabin and had an extra spot to park. A cabin nearby had a reunion and started taking up all of our spots to park. I had to literally pound on the door to get an answer. I informed them we had one extra spot and they were welcome to use it but not both. The next night the very same thing and no one answered the door and I still did not call for a tow. I instead parked behind both vehicles and when they needed out and knocked on my door I decided not to answer the door for an hour after eating breakfast and smoking a cigar on the back porch. Some don’t care about others at all.

Just because someone is in your spot, doesn't give you the right to park in someone else's spot. Jeff is a patient man,more then I would be. And 300 is cheap. Alot of companies charge alot more. Great job

As someone who is involved with Fleet transportation, I have dealt with many tow services and impound/storage fees (private and police). You guys are the most easiest and upfront to deal with. Unfortunately, too many people do not want to take responsibility for their own mistakes and want to blame the everyone else. They need to chalk it up to a not fun experience and become a little more wiser and mature. (Or they just need to grow up).
Appreciate the transparency and general respect showed to every customer. Even going as far as to blur the two individuals behind the illegal parks in this video out.
Expecting a business to wait over an hour for an appointment would normally cost you more... 3 hours later and still get the same price...that's a blessing

Yeppers, charge for every 15 minutes the customers are late for their scheduled appointment. You would then be able to do other jobs. The late customers are doing that on purpose so you lose out on jobs and need to be taught a lesson that azzholes will get karma!

I wouldnt have been so generous calling at 2 am wanting to get it that early asking you to meet at 2 am then setting up another time you both to meet and not being there so ridiculous then argues the price and doing the stupid checking his car for damages and claiming you might have been in his car . So disrespectful . You have much patience I personally would had just told them how it is and leave it at that . They werent as nice as you claim . your a much better man than most .

For anyone whining like a toddler about the price being $300. All I can say good luck if you live in the any city that has Parking Authority they will charge you for any parking ticket if not paid, storage fees,etc. I work in customer service field and must praise Jeff and Kristen for your patience and not wanting to for apeshit. How entitled must these people be to first wanting their car in the middle of the night but than doesn’t communicate when they will be at the lot. The amount of jobs that Jeff lost waiting for these people is horrible.

If his numbered parking spot was taken, he should have called the HOA or you. And corrected the situation then. And the fact he had screenshots showing fees, then he knows it's per car!
$300 is a bargain. Here in Southern California, they’d pay a minimum $500. We had someone parked in our assigned space. We have signs all over that say if someone is in your space that you need to call a tow company and it lists several #s to call. The people we had towed paid $500 cash.
I find it a little strange that when they found someone else in THEIR designated spot, they didn't call someone about it! Having said that, I totally understand why you usually 'mute' the costs part in your videos, if for no other reason than not giving any competitors that info! Take care and stay safe!

What could they possibly need at 2 am for their kids? They said they were there for 2 days so all that they needed would be in their rental and not in their car. Presumably the kids are asleep at 2. Everything about those people was disgusting.

Wow these people act like entitled toddlers! The amount of excuses they used was absolutely PITIFUL for 2 full grown adults; especially ones that have chosen to reproduce... I feel bad for the kids, they wont have ANY idea what accountability and responsibility look like while being raised by those two.
Also; it was VILE the way they accused Jeff of Discriminating against them by implying that he just throws out different prices!.. TONS of things factor into the price...
I can name at least 10 things off the top of my head.... The Distance to travel back and forth, Type of car being picked up, the weight of the car, 2WD vs 4WD, whether the emergency break is on/off, if a dolly was used, if there is a holiday/event going on, storage fee's after 24hrs, the type of terrain the car is parked on, and if its a public vs private property tow...
That was just naming the MAIN things off the top of my head; dont get me started on taxes, employee wages, business expenses, insurance, etc...
Between the amount of excuses thrown out and the veiled threats towards Jeff about his pricing; these two DESERVE to be on RUclips along with their $600 receipt...
Unfortunately; i have a feeling they will be brought up again in the Everything Auto saga because they did NOT want to be on film; and then he brings up that he did his little "google investigation" on Jeff's pricing and that hes gonna come after Jeff for that...

Your time is valuable, you should never wait more then 30 minutes for any call/appointment time, they can set there and wait for you at that point.
Your prices are very reasonable, if not on the low side, so never apologize!

@@user-ve8lb9re4ucity I live in charges the ticket, and then tow trucks charge $500 for a police impounded plus extra fee’s after hours and $50-$100 a day for impounded fee’s. Also no other tow company I know would answer a customers call at 2am and most definitely wouldn’t sit around 3 hours waiting for you to pick it up, at least not without a fee

Honest say they turn down 5/6 calls while waiting on pick up. Even if those are simple tows ($150-$200 min in my area) that’s $750-$1200 they could have made

Jeff, I saw that dispute coming about the "each vehicle" coming, even though you did specify the per vehicle charge. I just suspected that these folks were going to raise that. Their attitude is like they were entitled to a two for one fee. It doesn't work that way. You had to make two trips to Ski Mountain. It's like there were several families using the one condo unit! Great video! Jeff, you are amazingly even-tempered. NO ONE should ever be calling you at 2:00 a.m. unless it's the PD with an emergency! I love it that you are requiring appointments! You have been far too nice and accommodating to people who are sometimes mean and nasty! You should also charge $25-$50 for storage!

Plus, only wait 30 minutes, if you’re not there, go on to the next tow and they can catch you when you come back. If it’s after midnight, they can pick it up in the morning anytime after 9:00am.

@@carlcrump8625two hours waiting for the pick up. Then there’s the time involved in picking up two vehicles. Whatever that time is. Cost of the truck, fuel, insurances, etc. The tows could have easily cost more.

Someone nicked their spot for the first car and they stupidly parked in someone elses, but the second car wasn't even mentioned by them. Guessing they didn't even have a parking spot for that car? One thing people don't realize is the cost of replacing the equipment is factored into the rate. No piece of equipment will last forever and has to be replaced with a new one someday.
He need's a stroller at 2 am, your child needs to be in a bed at that time not a stroller.
