Sometimes you got to pull the clutch in to prime the pump into life
no fuel pump prime so check the pump with a multimeter for power, check for spark and compression test then once you get it running check the radiator through the cap for hydrocarbons to check head gasket. If the engine was blown it likely would not crank.
@@tindalowos for sure! Blown in the sense that gaskets are blown out and require an engine pull.
I would start with a compression test. Great starting point.
I would never have anyone, buyer or seller have access to my garage & inspect your hard earned assets while in there. As they could easily come back at a latter date & relive you of them. Especially sketchy dudes like that. Protect your property dude, cheers for upload. 😊🍻

Before attempting another start drain that oil and make sure there is no water or coolant in the oil. Last thing you want is steam pressure building up, bad things will happen. Other than that I would say minimum the head gaskets should be replaced but I would do a complete rebuild or swap. Might be able to find a shop that'll give you a trade in on the engine if you're buying a rebuilt one from them.
Who would believe a story of someone putting “cheap oil” in and draining it back out after starting it ? That was a huge red flag
@@Westbrookreviews I mean it's pretty standard to use cheap oil if you know you're going to drain it again for other service. But yeah, kinda weird still to not just at least have oil in it.
A liter bike for $2,200 with a blown engine really isn't a terrible deal. You can find used engines for under $2k and fairing kits are usually $600-800. But a good liter bike is worth at least $6500.

Head gasket. That's why the guy drained the oil so you couldn't start it. Check the compression next.

Is it an immobiliser issue? Do you have a full key of just that snapped one?

Dam Bro just know it happens to everyone.. I bought a Jeep from a guy and everything seemed to be fine until the transmission started randomly locking up on me..paid more to get it fixed than I did to buy people are shady

Spark,Fuel,or one of those cut wires might have to do with the fuel pump.
It’s that bank sensor in the front. You have to either jump the wire or get a new one and it will turn over. I had the same problem in my 07 cbr 1000rr. Fixed that and it was good.

I think it's not going to be something serious after all. I would start by applying the Fittipaldi protocol which consists of checking the spark plugs, the air filter and the injection. It has to start immediately if you follow those steps

Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes it eats you. Hopefully you still do ok even if the engine is toast.
Spray the intake with starting fluid and see if it tries to run for a second then you'll know if it's just a pump or something real quick.

Hey mate. Love your videos. I would be taking the new crank casing off, the fact that he fixed that up may mean he is hiding some damage internally. I hope I’m wrong but could be the reason it’s not firing up
Yeah I've thought that several times but also realize the already cranked it up after he "repaired" it. Best way to tell if there's mechanical damage right now is just to fire it up and see
head gasket is gone. remove fuel tank check fuel tank cables if they are getting power when you turn the key on. changing head gasket is not that bad if you feel like changing it on your own and it will actually be nice content for your channel. About the stand senson when the bike is on neutral it should start anyways , there is a possibility that it needs clutch to engage for it to start but i doubt it. For the most honda bikes i know when you turn the key on you actually listen the pump prime noise. You should also check spark and compresion if you just want to start it.

@@demonen1 I'll give it a shot, but kickstand only shuts them off when they're out of neutral without the clutch pulled. In neutral it should fire up!

Just checking the wires down display it's probably would be kickstand sensors or starting buttons is broken its trash
@@powchainsamaniego6744 actually you may be right. I've had a faulty kickstand sensor in the past that would randomly shut the bike off.
If the mechanic started it why would he remove the oil? I bet the motor fead .

Dear Americans, question regarding the anker charger add. Why do you run on 110v when most others use 240v?

@@mattus1gig No problem. Bonus tid bit, the transmission lines that run thru our neighborhoods are typically around 13000 Volts. The really big "high power" lines can have as many as 138000 Volts going thru them. And they are aluminum! High voltage and low amperage allows the power companies to use smaller wire, which is cheaper.

If he tried to scam the seller he wouldn't have readily offered a fair amount. He didn't haggle. The $1k offer was to take the bike off his hands with no knowledge of its condition. Fair to me.
@@voanncr exactly, and he was asking that because I was about to leave his apartment to look at numbers on my own and wanted me to take it then and there. So I just throwed a joke out knowing he wanted as close to $2.5k as he could get. Wasn't a serious offer but I wasn't about to give him asking price then and there knowing nothing about it.
You must have some kinds super power to claim an engine is blow without even starting it or opening up the engine. Oh and it would not crank so freely if there was coolant in the cylinders. I did like this channel, but not with click bait titles like this. You dont know the truth yet but your calling the seller a scammer. Seems a bit rich to me. You got the bike super cheap anyway and as one person said even a donor engine and some of your favourite chinese sourced body parts will still see you ahead. Dont ruin your channel trying to sensationlize something that's not an issue. Making out someone who even delivered you the bike and helped you put it in your garage as a scammerl is a low blow. Rebuild the engine if you must and stop whinning about it 😂 a challenge like that will bring in viewers.

Cancel the next sessions with that money grab scratcher and find yourself a good artist that can still save that before it's too late
