Lyrics
He let the merry go round way more than you ever should He was there when they tore it all down When nobody thought that they would He let the musical cheers fade away and disappear They went on for so many years We were much happier there
And he still hears
The noise from the brigade
So he’s not going to take his place In the final parade
She thanked each lady and gent for all the time that they spent She watched as each one of them went and thatʼs when they took down the tent She wasnʼt sorry or sad Stoic heroic or brave but there was one question she had What could she salvage or save?
She still hears
The noise from the brigade
So she’s not going to take her place In the final parade
And he still hears
All the noise from the brigade
So you’re not going to see his face In the final parade
He let it slow to a stop Then let it grind to a halt He felt that the bottom would drop To be fair to him thatʼs not his fault Letʼs let merry go round Letʼs hear the musical cheers Letʼs get it back up off the ground Even if no one still cares
And he still hears
The noise from the brigade...
We canʼt afford to be ignored next stop is Freedom Street Hit the town and burn it to the ground to the rocksteady beat The Church was hoping that the midnight mass was packed from the front to back West Coast USA we know where it’s at
We’d play around with a punk rock reggae sound ‘cause sometimes dancing is all you’ve got We were crankin’ We were skankin’ We were crankin’ We were skankin’ all over the world
He was billy clubbed the night that we were dubbed The Lords of Central Square He just snapped and then the cuffs were slapped thatʼs how itʼs done down there We canʼt confirm and canʼt deny what happened after that but before you check your watch check out the thermostat
We’d play around with a punk rock reggae sound...
Revolutionary war out on the streets and on the dance floor The night they closed down the old bear The Middle East is close to there We canʼt afford to be ignored next stop is Freedom Street Hit the town and burn it to the ground to the rocksteady beat The Church was hoping that the midnight mass was packed from the front to the back and the East Coast USA was waving the Union Jack
We’d play around with a punk rock reggae sound ‘cause sometimes dancing is all you’ve got
We were crankin’ We were skankin’
We were crankin’ We were skankin’
all over the world
We were crankin’ We were skankin’
We were crankin’ We were skankin’
all over the world

The Bosstones may be gone, but ska will never die! We will keep on skanking!
THIS IS EVERYTHING I'VE WANTED! Tim Timebomb producing a Bosstones album with Aimee from the Interrupters!? Ska is NOT DEAD!
it never was!
Fucking dope af!!
@@therobotFrom94 exactly! Everlasting!
Don't forget lots of other legends that showed up to this party! Check out Javier Jimeno's comment for the complete lineup. It's so amazing!
@@theevildrummingsithlord1492 shame thebrest were missing. They shoukd re release this with everyone
I have a strong feeling that if The Great Joe Strummer was alive, he would be a part of this masterpiece
as an old fat man that was once a 90's ska kid, this meant so much to me.
as an old fat man who was once an 80's ska kid you know the rest
@@evanmccubbin3428 :)
nice
As an old ripped as hell dude that was a 90's Ska kid, I cannot agree more my man! Just super disappointed this song is not available on the Touchtunes jukebox app...BOOOOOOO
Today (Jan 26th) would be my friend’s 27th birthday. We lost him on October 6, 2020. He loved ska music so much, and I can’t help but think that this song was written for him. Jake, I hope you’re up there skankin’ to this one buddy I miss you.
Tipping one for Jake!
We salute you... stay strong
Not gonna lie, this brought me nostalgic happy tears. Rude Boy for life.
Youre not alone with those tears...i had some too!
Did you know that theres a live album of save ferrys released like this week?
Rude 4 Life
A Ska version of "We are the world" is just what we need!
Toutube funds this way☝
Under the radar you go, Google.
How could they leave out Reel Big Fish though?
Ron Smith I was thinking that too! They are the only ones missing!!
@@sarahlynn7158 and goldfinger, spunge, capdown, mad caddies, stm, etc, etc
Keep that boomer shit the fuck outa everything.
“The Final Parade”, I guess this was foreshadowing…
Probably. The end of an era 😭
I am happy I got to see them twice.
Thanks for having us guys - see you again when all this madness is behind us! x

Who’s skankin in their house like a fool?!
YES.
Oh, hell yes!
Yes
Just did!
Yessssss
What an absolute jam! Ska is so far from dead when 8 minutes of joy and absolute insanity comes out
Wow! This song is an instant classic! What a burst of life!
“We’d play around
With a punk rock reggae sound!”
I love those lyrics! I’m singing and dancing this like nobody is watching!
“We were crankin’ and we were skankin’
All over the world!”
I can’t stop dancing to this! What a great chorus! Bravo! I’m going to be playing this song for years! Thank you, Bosstones! You made some of my favorite records!
I can’t wait to hear this album! This combo of Tim and the Bosstones can’t be anything else but epic! Next Boston to Berkeley tour would love to see Rancid, Bosstones, Dropkick Murphy’s, and Interupters.
That would be straight epic. Was hoping to see interrupters this last summer but that didn't happen. I'm still bummed I missed the last Boston to Berkeley tour because I went to a free Cake concert. 🙄
Pre ordered it
This shit brings a tear to my eye. There's no community like the punk/ska community.
RIP Bosstones.
Man, a year with no shows at the middle east and no hometown throwdown...but at least we got some new bosstones
Been seeing the BossToneS live since I was 14...I'm now 44, I still get out on the floor every show and give it all I got! It's not as much as it used to be...but, it's still unbridled fun and community! Cheers fuckers!
SAME ✌
Same! Hopefully we can see them again 🤞
One positive of the pandemic... Old Punk (and ska punk) bands are coming back !!
Rancid has some epic outros with a bunch of shout outs. Tim Armstrong taking it to the next level here.
I spent half a decade of high school and college drawing caricatures of the Bosstones in my notebooks, and the best one wasn't 5% as good as these cool post-Saul Bass pieces of perfection. Cheers to the animators.
What a celebration of all eras of ska. This makes it all worth it and love that the Bosstones got to make this happen.
This is one hell of a song 😎. Even Freddy Madball and Jimmy G from Murphy's Law jointed the party
Thanks for the music, boys
I could listen to this 144,000 times in row. And id still hear the noise from the Brigade.
Bosstones forever and ever, amen.
This song legit made me cry, hearing dicky, aimee, and everyone else sing together made me so happy. Now with the breakup of the best ska band ever a lot of the lines really made more sense, "sometimes dancings all we got" because thats so true to me. We love you dicky.
I guess this really was their final parade.
This is EXACTLY what SKA needed...A giant fun fueled shot in the arm! Getting all this talent together is nothing short of amazing. In the immortal words of Operation Ivy....UNITY!!
THANK YOU BOSSTONES!
The longer I listen, the more I fall in love with this song
Old fan form Turkey, there are so many legends in this song😁, LOVE IT. We are going to skank together all over the world forever.
Disphoria had me depressed laying in bed. Clicked the song, bounced out of bed bopping around my room. Thanks for music!
Depression has me the same, hope things turn around for you, mate, you got this
@@danielmiyahara320 DW, the song cured him
Thanks for all... great track... una belleza.
Greetings from Bolivia. 🤟🇧🇴
still skankin', thanks all involved
Wow!!! This is so cool to see all the bands I listen to together in a song. 💜
AL Capone Skanking In His Grave. Rico Rodriguez, Prince Buster, Ranking Roger, Toots Hubbard recently Joined the Skank in to Heaven.... History Wont Forget!!!!
Aquabats!
I thought it was *ahem* super rad to see Aquabats in the video.
i know right?!?
shaaarrrk fighter!
My first ever live show was the Bosstones at the WAG in Worcester... I think around 1991 because I was too young to drive and my friend's mom gave us a ride. The stage was maybe waist-high, and at the end we all got up on stage and started a mosh pit with the band. One of the greatest musical moments of my life. Glad to hear they're back.
The Bosstones and Aimee Allen AND TIM Armstrong? My tiny mind can't take it. Badass overload!!!
Enjoy your retirement bosstones you left on a massive high the best ska album of 2021 bloody brilliant 😎👍👍
I know it's not even been a year yet, but I still remember listening to this song when it came out. I was smiling the whole way, and then I burst into tears of joy. I'll never forget that feeling. Even though I never got a chance to experience all the fun this song talks about, I still felt like I was most definitely there. Thank you so much for changing this Indian kid's life so much.
We didn’t know it was really their final parade
@@gotham23us Well, it's a very fitting title.
Best song on the Album
this is music family! 😊
It wasn't until my eighth time listening that I realized the initial hook is an allusion to the first track on Let's Face It.
This was a goodbye song, then.
I only heard this last week, what a line up and tune, just what we need in this day. Ska revolution is in are conscience, it even has laila khan from sonic boom six who I have been following since the started in 2002. Love it🌠🌟💛😇😈👽✌️🤟
What an epic tune 🎉
This is like watching Aragorn take the throne back in The Return of the King. Bosstones are back bitch! Ska is NOT DEAD.
I fucking love this random allegory.
Ska lives!!! None but piece and unity!!!
This has to be one of the most epic songs ever written and performed!! That punk rock reggae sound got me hooked!
Tim can still bring em all together! Luv this.
Awesome song! Dancing is always free, if your heart is
Holy shit, this is AMAZING!!!!!!! Completely worth the wait!!!!!!!!
Loved 'em! Infectious rhythms, great lyrics. - just one G-D fun band!!
This is gold! Ska has been bringing it back.
I loved the Aquabats!
Pure brilliance!
What a glorious thing!!!!!!! Iam joy and sad at same time, cause it's the last bosstone Song. Thank vou guys for the music i've listened since 1991.
They made a new album
Simply amazing
RIP to The Mighty Mighty BossToneS. Perhaps this song truly will be your Final Parade.
Thank--you all for all the memories over the years. #SkasNowDead
i wouldnt say ska is dead we still have less than jake and a few more out there, theres even been some new ska bands pop up like SkaTune Network theyre pretty good, lets hope for a great 4th wave
As long as Streetlight is playing, ska's not dead :)
@@petelang6643 idk man, can't even remember the last time they released an album.
@@robinwarren7601 I think Less Than Jake's 2021 album is some of their best work in their almost 30 year run.
Best thing to come out of the pandemic #FuckyouSkasNotDead
Musically crankin' and skankin' trip to paradise Love it!
this song is a masterpiece
OMFG!!! HOW DID I JUST NOW FIND THIS?!?!?!😯🤘😎🤘😯
Simply brilliant. The greatest band ever.
Bosstones are legends, no one better in the ska world
Start with the skatalites and every singer they backed, then reconsider that statement. Prince buster, Desmond dekker, hepcat… any band that actually played ska, not some dumbed down circus music derivation of it.
@markrobinson8736 ohh shutup you elitist, this might be his favourite band and also why are you here if you think this is circus Ska? Jog on, that's why they invented the saying ohh you'd be fun at parties.
It makes me so happy to see the aquabats getting love in this!
Amazing!!!! And I can’t stop listening!!!
Wow, what a great song! I was surprised when I heard Aimee's voice, then Tim! Friggin' Awesome.
8-minutes of awesome right here!
Hellcat all over the world !!!!! 😎 made my fkn night this ‘un!............’Punk rockers Reggae rockers’
I love it!!!
All over the world - this is Martin from Germany. I love the Bosstones. Let me see the world in this final parade, gimme a hello from Your country!
This is a dancer, love it!
Best thing I've seen this year! And danced to it!
This song is incredible. Some of fav people in one place
Looks like this was their final parade, after all.
Yes!!
I hope the Bosstones would someday make another rock album like 'Question the Answers and Let's Face it!
Great song!
Awesome!
I can’t stop listening to this!
Filipe from los Skalanes at the end repping Tejas
Just have to ask, who/what is Tejas?
Tejas is the Spanish pronunciation/spelling of Texas
We all needed this right now and I think all of these artists knew that. Thank you so much.
Live From the Middle East is the greatest Mighty Mighty Bosstones album out there. I must have listened to that a thousand times. My soundtrack for a decade or so. Time to dust off that album!
I agree. I chose the live stuff over studio most times.
This is EVERYTHING. The lineup is a whose who of my musical 90s
This will be a highlight of the year when ‘21 is done.
Anyone else listening to this song on repeat? Just me?
For 7 days straight
Ska invigorates the soul... thank you
This gives me hope! There still is good the world!
Bonita Canción.
Enhorabuena a los M.M.B y a todos los que participaron.
Una gira por España.
Queremos verlos, please.
Hope for the future. Keep on crankin. Keep on skankin.
I love and miss these great guys so much.
Superb... Just what we all need right now!! 😎
The Interrupters with the Bosstones. oh, and tim timebomb jumps in.
