Good video, & I’m glad you said about the rain. I own a Territory Wagon, & I put heaps of deadening on the roof as when it rains in the tropics I live in Cairns it’s loud. I agree with the floor, & didn’t do it. It will be interesting in what you think when you drive you car in the rain if you find it makes much difference. Plus if you live down in the southern parts of Aust where it’s cold you car should be warmer.
Yes hopefully the thermal insulation helps the car stay cool as well. I can't say I remember what it sounded like before when it was raining but I do think it's very quiet now.
I actually don't mind the results, it definitely sounds better but if I had my time again I'd just do the doors and roof. Only because there was a factory MNL in there. For people without any MNL from factory it's a bigger difference for sure.
Most road noise is from poor dampening between the body and systems that contact the road, if you look into higher end vehicles you will find far better body to chassis or suspension mountings, usually with larger rubber mounts at things like shocks, springs, engines, trans, subassembly and so on, panel noise on most cars is a non issue with the numerous curves preventing flex and vibrations in the sheets.
This car really didn't need it, it was already quiet (against similar cars). But I am happy enough with the results. Only reason I wouldn't recommend to most with this car is the time and cost involved. For older cars, definitely recommend.
It's so much cheaper on your wallet and your time to just turn up the stereo 😁,I've been really enjoying your adventure pimping out your ride🙏😎
Glad you enjoy it!

You might get better results with a more premium set of Tires. Try that and measure the db difference.
