The Pinnacles - Lake Thetis - Black Point - Sandy Cape || Travelling North of Perth
In this video I drive north of Perth continuing on from Wanagarren Nature Reserve out to the Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park, then into Cervantes to visit Lake Thetis, where ancient stromatolites and thrombolites can be found.
After leaving Lake Thetis I drive out of Cervantes via a beach track to Black Point.
From there back onto Indian Ocean drive and north towards Sandy Cape, just to the north of Jurien Bay to try and get a good campsite before it gets packed out with weekend visitors.

Great video mate, really enjoyable. Looking forward to watching your channel grow.
Thanks mate, hopefully one day it pays more than $150 a month 🫣
Good video bro. Perth based also and stumbled across your channel
Cheers mate.
Great info, Thanks.
You're welcome!
100 agree, ARB and competitors should display the weights in the product page. Give us the details. We shouldn’t have to purchase it to weigh it or find someone who did it for us!
Agreed. They reel out dumb excuses as well like the paint application affecting the weight. It's not hard to say something like ~70kg added to the car (because they'd know the weight of what needs to be removed as well pretty accurately after they install them on each model of car). You could easily advertise a correct weight with a margin of 2kgs either way to allow for manufacturing or painting discrepancies.
Really enjoy your attention to detail I've a 2016 BT-50 in a manual
Thanks mate. Attention to detail is my speciality!
Top bloke for doing that!
Not all heroes wear capes.
Great video mate, DPAW should be putting this on their website.
Maybe they could chuck me a cheeky $50
@TheBrowneTown keep up the good work and you'll be undeniable
Hi, what was the company you did the tours?
Umi travel and tours. There are a lot of good companies that do it.
If you’re doing the hot side it’s way easier to remove the air box and do the whole thing from the engine bay. No need to remove plates and undo crap with you’re arms above your head
Can you just take out the egr valve to clean without removing the whole intake?
You need to remove part of it to get to the EGR valve but not the air intake manifold from memory. However the biggest carbon buildup restriction is in this black plastic manifold so ideally that's what you would clean.
Nice video man, I am keen to see the video on the wannagarren campsites.
Finished editing. Scheduled for the weekend coming.
@TheBrowneTown love your work. I'll subscribe
Great video mate.
Cheers 🍻
Very helpful thanks. I had to sand a small section of paintwork (2cm x 1cm) and then stuck the copper grounding strap on to the now bare metal area(the grounding strap has its own adhesive on there, so you can stick it straight to the metal). Whilst doing this, I phoned a local car audio installer at the same time and he noted that if you have a heated windscreen, you would need to position the antenna track adjacent to the heated elements (lines). If the antenna track is placed on the heated elements, then this can cause signal distortion apparently. So when i looked in my Ford, there is a non-heated section to the far left (and far right) of the windscreen that does not have heating elements. This non-heated section is wider at the bottom left and bottom right sections, therefore you i had to stick the DAB aerial here (this is what the car audio installer reported that he did when working on cars with heated windscreens). Hope that help someone!
Thanks for the info 👍
Howdy / Would you happen to have the link for the “different” MR Triton fix at all ? Please and thanks :)
Hey mate, pretty sure it's one of the cards on the video, if you click the little "i" button it should be listed there unless the person removed their video.

How did you get your suspension? I tried to buy direct and Outback Armour wanted me to go through a dealer. 3 weeks later and still no quote 😢
I'm in Perth and went through Medicar, they were very good and have it slightly cheaper than Outback Armours pricing.
This is Gold, thank you!! Not one of the Clown dealerships in my Province of KZN in South Africa could sort this out, or most likely refused to sort it out under warranty. Much appreciated.
No worries mate, glad to help.
will it work with my 2020 xt it came with a 7inch alpine. fomoco
Not entirely sure, I believe it would work. Check the T'eyes Australia website they should have details for what works and what doesn't. I think as long as you're outside the years i mentioned for xtr and gt then it will be plug and play.
Awsome video!!! Wanting to see the coolant replacment video soon hopefully! Keep up the good work!
Thank you.
Good video bro
Appreciate it
Can anyone recommend a good quality hand pump ?? Do I need a brand name or just a cheap one ??
I've only bought one in my life and it worked. I think it was from Repco, pretty pricey but it made my life easier.
Ok Cheers I will have a look.
Very good video, nice explanations. Helped me diagnose a loose upper strut nut on new coilovers. Tightened it down, no more clunking over bumps! Thank you
Glad it helped.
Fantastic! I looked everywhere for the factory bash plate weight. And when I came across your video I knew I would be there!
Haha I love to weigh stuff.
We will visist port barton this Nov.is is ok if me and husband in 1 kayak going to white beach
2 people will be easier than me alone because you can alternate paddlers or both paddle at the same time.
Is ist safe to use kayak going to.white beach
Hi, It is perfectly safe. When I went there the waters were as calm as you can imagine. In the video I do kayak to white beach from coconut beach, then all the way to the leaning palm tree. Getting to white beach is not too difficult unless it was super windy or there were massive swells but Port Barton is quite protected. Just check the weather forecast and you'll be fine.
Thanks a million 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻
No problems
Thanks for your video, its really helpful. Just one question re the hot side pipes. The single new hose is nowhere near the shape of the original system. Or am l missing something? Cheers Dave
No that's correct, it's shorter and more direct. They say it's about 40% reduced length and they claim it's better as there's less restrictions.
I did the hot side on my 2013 Ranger today. What a bastard job. Just could not get the plastic u hose( its different than the one in your BT) after an hour of trying to get it out. Only options were to cut it in half or leave it, so installed new hose and left the u hose in place.
Mate. I've been looking for the answer to this for ages. Thank you for taking the time to make this video in such detail, it answered many more questions I didn't even know of, let alone would have thought of. Got a like from me!
Yeah no dramas. It was an issue for me and I had to dig deep to find the answer so I wanted to try make it clearer for others.
@@TheBrowneTown You could have even broken this up into 4 or 5 videos! Quick question for you, how can you delete/rename a theme? I accidentally misspelled one and it keeps showing up, no way of knowing how to "manage" it. I tried looking through the package contentents but no luck haha.
@ryanclinetv Sorry but I'm not sure about that. I haven't touched it since I did my original setup and it's been so long now I'd have to re-watch my own video to remember what I was playing with if you know what I mean. I never actually use Motion so I don't instinctively know my way around it.
@@TheBrowneTown I actually found the answer! A new file gets generated in the motion templates folder titled: "templateThemes" you just double click, delete the string that has the mistake, command S and done! (Putting this here for others to see) Cheers.
Cheers, I might need it myself one day!
so for ebike charing - red or grey, or doesnt matter (less force to plug/unplug - will be better)
You can use whatever you want as long as both are the same, a grey won't plug into a red. But there's no standards for which to use (in Australia anyway).
@@TheBrowneTown thanks for extreme quick reply, this is custom diy ebike - I use xt60 now but is too small and to its very tight fit - anderson 50A with handle seems perfect for my needs
Upto 100,000km is ok moderate cleanup Same model different car 205000km required huge amounts of cleaning , 4 teaspoons of sludge each cylinder head port . Also carb cleaner and stiff tooth brush on ports . ENSURE VALVES ARE CLOSED
Allow 8 hrs including removing intercooler /hoses/throttle plate/ intercooler /manifold,, plus cleaning 2006 --2011 Bt50 Ranger . nb egr is easier to access underneath . 2wd is easier Always clean the egr cooler as well ,,,they block up
Love having found your vids. Im starting to mod my px ranger. Have you ever weighed the car with all your gear, you did say around 2.7T? Whats your front axle weight like?
Yeah it's 2.71 ton but I haven't weighed the axles separately since before I started modifying it. Original front was 1340, rear 1020.
Can you do it during the day?
No guides will go up during the day. You'll be stinking hot, would not be as good either the views. A lot of the guides have other jobs during the day.
thanks mate
No worries
Do you think it’s needed to be torqued?
Nah most stuff is ok if you're used to using tools, but it's worth knowing how hard to go on it even if you don't have a torque wrench. Like with some suspension parts that are over 200Nm it's good to know that you should be using a long breaker bar with lots of pressure for example.
@@TheBrowneTown yeah was going to say that you’d know how far is pretty good
I do find it useful for low torque things with gaskets, like the transmission case. Makes sure it doesn't get over tightened. Most other stuff you just need a rough idea of how hard to go. Exhaust should be redone after a few heat cycles as the bolts will loosen.
Great video mate, I've just brought the new dmax xterrain and kitted the back and canopy etc now on to suspension. Your video was extremely well made and is going to be very beneficial when it comes to installing my off-road armour suspension.
Glad to hear it, most cars have similar designs so the setup should be similar for you.
The title of this video is deceptive to the content. TItle: How To Change Windscreen Wiper Arms? || Mitsubishi Lancer CE Content: How To Change Windscreen Wiper BLADES? || Mitsubishi Lancer CE Maybe update your description - or maybe you're fishing for views...
I am not liking crimping... I have a hydraulic crimper, but after the crimp, the wire keeps on falling out with a slight tug :/
Double check your sizing, you might need to go the next dye down. Automotive sizes are often not quite a match for metric lugs so for example it will be 31mm instaed of 35mm².
64gb rom and 4gb rom would be enough for daily use?
Hi, Do you mean 64GB SSD memory? For me I like to have all my music stored offline as well as 4WD maps downloaded to the device because in Australia we often lose phone reception when we drive into the country. However even 64GB is quite a lot of memory. However I don't store any other apps on there, no offline RUclips videos etc. so it depends on what you want to accomplish with it?
Thank you so much for this! This method is going to save me so much space (& money because I don’t have to buy so many hard drives!)
Glad to help
Hey mate, excellent video. How are you finding the suspension after a year? I have ARB OME 600kg and the thing is too bumpy. Would you recommend your kit? Cheers
Still enjoying it, I think I basically sized it up ok as far as the springs go so it seems to be doing ok, not too stiff on the rear. Not sure what OME has but what I have has adjustable bypass, but not separate control for rebound and compression just one overall control point that works well.
I would never advise anyone. It was a very bad experience. 20 days of calling support and in the end I would break the screen.
The support is useless and is easily the worst part about T'eyes. Mike is still going strong though. Not perfect but it does what I needed and is priced right.
Bloody good video champ. Thourough af. Thanks hot the walk through.

Great idea ford mazda having the dip stick under the vehicle near the exhaust.Henry Ford must be proud.
Agreed. Their argument would be that they consider this a non-serviceable item but that's ridiculous for a red that gets worked hard off-road or when towing.
Saves Ford 5 cents =costs customer at maintenance time . Think about its all about themselves clearly the customer is 2nd in priority.

The metal shavings are normal? I noticed the same on my magnetic bolt and got worried.
Small amounts are apparently normal but if you see large chunks that are easy to grab in your fingers that might be more concerning.
