Against the general hate for the ballads on the new album (I actually think it's a refreshing concept), in my opinion this is one of the best songs on it. It has a deep meaning to it. I think that all of us know the feeling of not being able to let go of some past experience. So many bands write about missed opportunities and regret, while, in reality, it'd be so much healthier for all of us to sometimes let go of things that hurt us in the past. For, we can't change it. To me, this song has such a meaningful and healthy message, because, unlike many other songs, it doesn't indulge in the pain, it shows the tiring fight for freedom and letting go of things that can't be changed. Thank you, Disturbed.
I think this album is awesome and I can identify with the regret. I've been regretting a horrible decision I made 37 years ago and I STILL cannot get rid of it. That one decision influenced EVERY thing that happened in my life from then on. Had I made the correct decision, I would have been the happiest man in the world!! I would have been with my soulmate and love of my life, Y.K.A. Now, my life is horrible and I cannot let go of that decision.
Same here and they're even good for helping me accept my past, well more than I did, and moving on so I can be my best self for my future kids, human or not, and my fiance.
Well said. My whole life was an absolute hell. I turned 23 in january. Disturbed entered the picture 2 years ago. I singlehandedly turned my life around and my family's lives too. The strength that each song instills is extremely powerful if used correctly. A reason to fight and the light are the 2 songs that brought me back to life. Now I not only keep my family and life stable but I also fix other broken individuals' lives as well. Disturbed has turned me into a beacon of hope and a symbol of strength both mentally and physically. Words cannot express how grateful I am that this band exists.
@@Mat-he7mb Darkness was my favorite song on my favorite album. I love all of Draiman's work, but his ballads are positively... mmmm. That they released an album with so many is a genuine treat for me.

My heart breaks at the personal lyrics in this song. So soulful and sad in this gentle song. So many emotions expressed in David's voice. I have heard he has lost many people in his life. Stay strong. An amazing song I could listen to all day. Heart and soul.

i loved disturbed's heavy stuff before evolution. i was sceptical about how they were changing their sound for more emotion than heavy. my god, if THIS is how they are evolving, doing heavy stuff AND emotional, softer stuff with deep, DEEP meaning, count me in. a band that can do it all is far better than a band that only has one sound and never changes.

I love every album and every song, because the lyrics are deliberate, affecting, and apropos of the times we live in. The music is often tender, but it's always potent and galvonic, and with the power, dimensions, and intensity of David Draiman's voice, Disturbed can't be easily dismissed! I think their next album should be called "Axiom!"

I know a lot of people think this is a breakup song, and it may be. But to me, the uninvited guest is depression. Depression, even when you're taking your meds and doing well is still there, in your mind, lurking, waiting to strike again at a moment of weakness. Even if you think you're rid of it and it was over, it's still there, never evicted from your heart or mind. Depression stays in my head and still haunts my heart like an uninvited guest. I got introduced to them in 2009 when i was 19 years old I'm 29 now and disturbed has been a part of my life for 10 years now...in those years I battled addiction and conquered sobriety and they were there through it all

This song hits home really hard. When I got my ex gf pregnant I was so excited to be a father! But when she was about 6 months pregnant she aborted him behind my back and I found out from one of her friends. The memories from her and that time I feel like are uninvited guests in my head and they haunt me every damn day. When I heard this song I almost broke down. I thank disturbed everyday for their music and how their songs have gotten me through tough times from my deployment to past memories. Keep it coming David. Love it

Against the general hate for the ballads on the new album (I actually think it's a refreshing concept), in my opinion this is one of the best songs on it. It has a deep meaning to it. I think that all of us know the feeling of not being able to let go of some past experience. So many bands write about missed opportunities and regret, while, in reality, it'd be so much healthier for all of us to sometimes let go of things that hurt us in the past. For, we can't change it. To me, this song has such a meaningful and healthy message, because, unlike many other songs, it doesn't indulge in the pain, it shows the tiring fight for freedom and letting go of things that can't be changed.

I think this album is awesome and I can identify with the regret. I've been regretting a horrible decision I made 37 years ago and I STILL cannot get rid of it. That one decision influenced EVERY thing that happened in my life from then on. Had I made the correct decision, I would have been the happiest man in the world!! My whole life was an absolute hell. I turned 23 in january. Disturbed entered the picture 2 years ago. I singlehandedly turned my life around and my family's lives too. The strength that each song instills is extremely powerful if used correctly. A reason to fight and the light are the 2 songs that brought me back to life. Now I not only keep my family and life stable but I also fix other broken individuals' lives as well. Disturbed has turned me into a beacon of hope and a symbol of strength both mentally and physically. Words cannot express how grateful I am that this band exists.

A lot of people probably don't know he took classical vocal lessons when he was younger. 'The Darkness' is the first song I believe that was softer.
@@Mat-he7mb Darkness was my favorite song on my favorite album. I love all of Draiman's work, but his ballads are positively... mmmm. That they released an album with so many is a genuine treat for me.

His voice is not what it used to be, even when singing like an angel. I guess that comes with age. He's had throat problems also.

Life is change. I am 64 yrs old and never thought I'd like Disturbed but I listen to them all the time now. These new songs are powerful without screaming. They showcase the talent of the entire group and the vocals raise goosebumps.
I have always liked Disturbed and still do. I like their old style and their new style.
Well I am 74 years old. Was introduced to them by my 14 yr old Granddaughter. Love the old and the new.

Omg I just want to die when when he sings woo hoo hoo, I almost lose my breath and I'm not kidding!!! His voice is like a drug I can't enough of. Sound of Silence is the same, and when he sang it on Conan back in 2016, I lost my breath then, and just about whenever he sings anything. Love you David!! I'm hooked on you!

You see my favorite vocalist is Matt Shadows but.... David Draiman is man that is just very very unique. His voice is like ridiculously amazing. He can hit every note he sings. I’ve had this one on repeat. It’s so different than what I’m used to from Disturbed, but they’ve got the uncanny ability to perfectly evolve as my music taste evolves. Every time I think I’m finally getting over the band that’s been my favorite since 4th Grade, they release something new that dominates my music library

This is one of the many reasons i love this band, they can pull off anything this new album has blown my mind with the diversity and the name of the album is perfectly fitted, the band have really evolved.
i loved disturbed's heavy stuff before evolution. i was sceptical about how they were changing their sound for more emotion than heavy. my god, if THIS is how they are evolving, doing heavy stuff AND emotional, softer stuff with deep, DEEP meaning, count me in. a band that can do it all is far better than a band that only has one sound and never changes.
I went on antidepressants very recently because I am not coping with the world currently. My depression, anxiety and PTSD have followed me for over 15 years, 'renting space in my head' you could say. I finally listened to this song, and it clicked.

I love this song! I'm a 56 year old woman, and I've been listening to Disturbed almost exclusively since I heard the song Indestructible about 9 years ago. I love every album and every song, because the lyrics are deliberate, affecting, and apropos of the times we live in. The music is often tender, but it's always potent and galvonic, and with the power, dimensions, and intensity of David Draiman's voice, Disturbed can't be easily dismissed! I think their next album should be called "Axiom!"

I know a lot of people think this is a breakup song, and it may be. But to me, the uninvited guest is depression. Depression, even when you're taking your meds and doing well is still there, in your mind, lurking, waiting to strike again at a moment of weakness. Even if you think you're rid of it and it was over, it's still there, never evicted from your heart or mind.

I'm so in love with david draiman and disturbed they are the best band of all time. I got introduced to them in 2009 when i was 19 years old I'm 29 now and disturbed has been a part of my life for 10 years now...in those years I battled addiction and conquered sobriety and they were there through it all

Honestly one of my favourite songs. Not just favourite Disturbed songs. It's a great song to sing along to.
This song hits me hard. I still live in the house (sleep in the same bed) that my late gf died in 3 years ago, and she's still in my mind. She will always be around, even when I don't want her to be. It's rough, people. Hug your loved ones, and make sure they know how much they mean to you while you still can.
I have no idea how so many people don't appreciate this album. It can be not your type, but this album is a soul split open. It's so raw and beautiful how can it be hated so much?

This song hits home really hard. When I got my ex gf pregnant I was so excited to be a father! But when she was about 6 months pregnant she aborted him behind my back and I found out from one of her friends. The memories from her and that time I feel like are uninvited guests in my head and they haunt me every damn day. When I heard this song I almost broke down. I thank disturbed everyday for their music and how their songs have gotten me through tough times from my deployment to past memories. Keep it coming David. Love it

I really don't understand the hate that people have for these types of songs by Disturbed. It's a more refreshing step for the band and just because they're a heavy metal band, dosen't always mean loud, earth shattering vocals and instruments

Thank you guys for FINALLY releasing the power ballads ! I knew David's voice was truly amazing way back when I first heard The Sickness.. My boyfriend.. Husband now.. Said, "how the hell can you tell his voice is that amazing.. It's metal.." Hahaha.. Let's just say I have an ear. Then, I heard Prayer and Remember and I said again to my then boyfriend.. "I fucking told you!" Hahaha! Your band has become the soundtrack of our lives. Thank you for everything you do! Rock on forever DISTURBED!

i am here in 2024 to see who is still listening to this gorgeous ballad. #disturbedfp #daviddraiman trained to be a rabbi for years in Israel. He just had other plans to be a metal rock star. Thank goodness he took the path less taken. He can sing the hell out af this incredibly breathtaking ballad and in 5 minutes , we have our fists in the air screaming along with one of @disturbed 's Rock Anthems #tenthousandfists .
