  • Earthquakes have increased exponentially in the last decade over the Eagle Ford Shale. What role does hydraulic fracturing play in the seismic activity and could San Antonio ever see a large earthquake?

Unfortunately, the government no longer regulates the oil & gas industry. the oil & gas industry lobbyists regulate government. Fracking is toxic as hell. Fracking may be "good for the economy", but it's horrible for the environment.

@@beachbum1523 Agreed. I worked as a roughneck on a rig back in 2005 to 2009, 7 on, 7 off, 12 hour shifts rotating, I miss the money but not the work. There was a spill of chemicals, a tanker backed into a white plastic tub. Nobody cared and we went about our day. When my shift completed , I walked to my trailer/barracks, my feet began to get warm. My mud-dog boots were melting. I had walked through the spilled chemical. I got out them off quick, got cleaned off, went back out to look at them, the bottom was totally melted away and you could see through my boots.

Focus on the Earthquake downtown, you can do something about THAT but not natural earthquakes.
