@@TheCommentaification Nah If you want to discover the real One Piece without pacing problem, reading it is far better. You can always add music if you need some background to your lecture. But there is NOTHING like it.

my friend said he was going to start dragonball naruto and one piece together this summer and watch all of them filler movies included....i told him good luck combined thats going to be over 2400 episodes 60 movies/ovas/specials by then...lol....I mean you can do it but it takes commitment and if you skip fillers thats more than a third of the material gone ..jesus….

Very nice story. I wouldn't know what is the greatest story though. Oda surely appreciates some of the greatest, referencing them in many of his own narratives.

When I first started anime I used to hate on one piece, for no reason probably because it was so long and I thought how could you be motivated to watch that many episodes, but one day I thought if it sells that much manga and has that good of review it must be good anyway I dived in and within a month I was 100 episodes in, i then stopped as there was no character development going on, but a year later I started again because within those 100 episodes I watched I actually did enjoy it, as soon I started re watching I couldn’t stop I absolutely smashed 700 more episodes and now it even motivated me to read manga which I quit doing when I was a kid. One piece in my opinion is the best anime/manga. I would go so far to say the creator of one piece Oda is a genius. If anyone’s wondering to watch it or not, just try it you can quit whenever you want just try watching 10 episodes

If you think One Piece is really long. Just be like me. I read Bleach and Naruto which is very long then I thought,"well if I can finish these in short amount of time, of course I can catch up to One Piece,"and then I read One Piece for 9 days for 6 hour per days. At that time, One Piece is at 950+ chapter already and I managed to catch up to One Piece.
You should try it. One piece is so rich ive watched it about 4 to 5 times and i keep discovering little details it's incredible and we are approching its end. This story will be remembered for the whole century you can be sure of this. The will of D will live on 😏

@@shreeeze I started watching in 2012 and since then i didn't stopped (to read at least). It took a vacation month to watch up to 530ish (Yeah, i did almost nothing at that time). But i read more than i watch. I just pick the physical comic book and carry with me to every place: Work, college, beach, travels, etc... Read is so much faster, because Toei put alot of semifillers and extensive closes in characters faces for long 5~10 seconds. And by reading you don't have to experience this. (I still watch the Sunday weekly episodes, tho).
I've been reading it for 12 years now. I'm glad I started back then because now I don't think I would start from chapter 1 because it feels overwhelming. It's really not because if you read just two chapters a day you would be at chaper 730 in one year, yet most people wouldn't bother since it looks like a lot and they don't know about the hype.
I watched 800+ episodes in like 3 months...lol
I re watched it 3 times and the last time I rewatched it was last year took me a month and two weeks

I will say in case you're still paying attention, when he states "filler" there are only about 16 episodes, and one of the filler arcs is seen as one of the best parts of the entire show, and possibly the best filler ark of any anime ever.

Omg One Piece is one of it's kind. What I love about One piece is that it never gets boring. Literally. Something unpredictable always happens. And I can absolutely relate to main character Luffy cause we're both such foodies lol xD
The thing about One Piece vs most other shonen anime is that, if you ask someone about their favourite moment from their favourite anime, chances are that they will tell you that it's a fight scene, or at least the moments around a fight scene. But when it comes to One Piece, there are plenty of people who would mention story moments or character moments as their favourite ONe Piece moment. That's the appeal of OP, that there's something to attract everyone.
i wouldn't do what the guy said to start...it'll spoil you of the characters...you have to take our word for it and just watch it...

while naruto and dragonball have great anime fighting animation and added filler material one piece has an amazing core story world and characters so its what japanese readers respect and want to see finish in written form since fights in manga don't really matter cause theres no animation in manga its about story motivation plot not cool moves in panels...whereas naruto and dragonball have more fans who are fine waiting to watch the anime do a better job adding to the less than stellar manga material so they can wait years for a fight to be animated rather than read it in the manga cause many fans lost interest in the story characters world and are only in it for the fights... ..thats how I look at it...thats why worldwide naruto and dragonball are more popular and why the manga mainly sells in japan for one piece same for anime watchers and merch sales...whereas naruto dragonball get that worldwide and not as much in japan currently
One piece world building is better than pretty much all mangas and literally most works of fiction. The only other that i can think of that has maybe better world building than one piece if Tolkien's Middle-earth books
Why is it necessary to hate on other shows? This one thing I hate about one piece fans. They think One piece is completely perfect and has no faults and like to put down other shows. In my opinion Naruto is on the same level as one piece if not better. Idgaf what you optards think.

One Piece really doesn't have good chareograh fight scenes. But the story is one of the best. Naruto and DBZ have nothing against One Piece in terms of story-telling.
I would say firstly the manga does, but also anime wise, especially early on, this is somewhat true

I agree, however I think Naruto did have some great twists and unexpected turns, but for the most part One piece kills it in story-telling
@@TenYasha897 Naruto was better at the beginning but One Piece surpassed it. I actually thought the original Naruto had better story than the earlier part of One Piece. But the anime, i think Naruto surpassed it. One Piece anime sometimes unnecessarily drags on.

@Diminish Gaming yeah, Naruto and Bleach had a better Production Studio creating it's Anime. The only recent thing Toei has gone all out in terms of animation is Dragon Ball Super fight scenes.
btw, checking the fights scenes won't do you mutch since the quality in one pice doesn't come from that, comes from the how the story itself is writen and the plot, one piece has more epic scenes then good fights themselfs tbh.

Most animes greatest moments happen in fight scenes. One Piece is one of the few anime that doesnt rely on their fights scenes but the build up and resolutions to make it amazing.

Hope you guys start it. It's my favorite anime, I'm on my 4th round of rewatching with live reactors. Great re-watch capability and lovable characters. I've laughed and cried for each one.

i need to admit...i used to dislike one piece...and love naruto....but ...i gave it a try from epi1 when the air was around at sky island, that would be around when i was 17-18 years old ....so i gave it try... watched few episodes...holyshit....non stop watching...lucky it was on summer vacation...i spent 1-2 months watching everyday to catch up.. no regrets....and as the video says....one piece is very well detailed....everything has a purpose...u may not like it at the beginning ...coz the low quality production...anime were made by drawing not as PC nowdays....but give it a try. u wont regret...if u like adventure animes.

Once you reach Enies Loby (around episode 300), you'll never go back and 100% finish the serie. There's something wrong if you didn't hook after that arc
One piece is far better than I ever expected it could be. In some ways it's shocking how good it is. Too me its like rick and morty. Way better writing than you would expect.

i watched the entire one piece anime in the summer,then stopped watching the anime at big mama arc,and started the manga from scratch. i finished it now and wait for weekly updates. the manga is so great tbh. ill start the anime when zoro appears again there in wano arc lol xD

Where to start? Start it home, now in quarantine, perfect time to start, bring tea and snacks, and enjoy. You dont need to see apeal, enjoy without it, without spoilers.
If you get into this, read the manga. The show has some nice things the manga doesn't have....but it also has a lot of unnecessary filler and some serious pacing issues in parts. Plus, reading goes faster than watching, and it's a _long_ series.

Early one piece was the best (if you can call like the first 300 episodes "early"), funniest out-of-character moments and surprise bravado out of nowhere. Character development was crazy, now theyve been doing one fight for like a year and they got rid of MadHouse (best animation studio) after a certain time-skip. One Punch Man, Mob Psycho, Samurai Champloo and tons of other incredibly animated anime i'm forgetting. If the action sequences and are unique, no gifs, show sequences to defy fantasy, then it was probably a Mad House animated.

@@mariobnicole8669 not only the standard "the voice lose its emotions", "the translation tends to be wrong", but lots, and I mean lots of content are censored. Not only the usual sensual but violence, guns even cigarettes. A hole bunch of depth is lost because of the dub version.
