I avoided it because of the length at first. Then I started watching it. Enjoying the story so much I couldn't stop. I even watched every single filler ark. Then I realize I was already running out of episodes and got sad about it.

For the manga, theres a lot of websites you can use, mangakalot, manga online. Viz media, the official English translation has the most recent few chapters available for free as well

SAME, it was slow at the beginning but arlong park was fire!!! and after all the adventures from east blue to alabasta, I arrived at water seven then ennies lobby and absolutely loved the series. I'm on Whole Cake Island rn and I'm sure people are waiting for us in Wano.

One Piece isn't as "dragged" out as you may think. The biggest complaint of the manga right now is that it's too rushed. Oda has just created too complex of a world with so much going on for it to take any less time

jon you should make a channel reacting to animes. (also i recommend watching gintama, funny asfk and good action.) I tend to make huge lists when i recommend stuff so ill leave it at that 1. cough one piece also cough. you seem like you like doing and commentating reactions and interested in anime enough and get why people get into it. would be cool watching reactions and see stuff you find to.
As for your gf or wife, idk what yall are, goodluck with finding that 1 anime that gets her hooked so yall can watch some together, you should try finding one with her job or hobby in the story or a movie anime, like skip beat or somthing, theres so many anime out there with different art and stories, that theres somthing for everyone that gives it a try.

@@nejx8711 Also, it's not the "last" island on the grandline, the final island is called "Lodestar Island" and that's the place where one would usually learn about the poneglyphs and the void century for the first time.
(Luffy finding Robin has of course already jumpstarted him further than that, so he only needs to find Laugh Tale, skipping that "last" island entirely.)

One Piece is not the typical 24 ep seasons, the first season is 61 ep, and those number just multiple, there is an arc that almost 200 ep, and the current arc is ongoing and it is close hitting the 100 ep in it. And they even remade a few arc as movies, I think we could say the first first episodes are remade as movies, they are mostly 2 and half hours each, but they are pretty good and true to the story with amazimg animation! One Piece is a real deal with more than 1000 manga chapter currently 991 episodes and a lot of movies, and less then 91 episode fillers!
