I think it’s amazing that you, being deaf, are undaunted by the vicissitudes of airline travel, while I, with all my senses (such as they are), get knots in my stomach just thinking about fighting traffic, queues at check-in and baggage claim, delays, and incompetent TSA agents ( here in the US). Flying out of Heathrow they ran out of chicken meals when they got to me. I had to call flight crew as they forgot. An hour later they served that vegetarian meal which to me tasted horrible. I couldn't finish it. Thankfully Afternoon tea was good.
