I purchased an ariens second hand in 2020 (right before covid). It's been sitting idle for 2+ years. Used it 2 days ago and it started right up. The previous owner had it for at least 5 years, and never changed the oil..but still the machine had no issue starting. It's well engineered and is a beast of a work horse. Go for the ariens!
