Just 10 more good SFC games you missed to mention in a very great and decent video: 1. Ghost Sweeper Makami, 2. Super Shell Monster Story, 3. Go Go Ackman series, 4. Super Ninja Kun, 5. Marvelous: Another story, 6. Shin Migami Tensei series. 7. Nekekketsu (2 beat 'em up games) 8. Hameln no violin, 9. Treasure of the Rudras, 10. Super Back to the future.
Agreed with the Volinist of Hameln. Its a fantastic game that actually follows its original manga (unlike the completely crap anime based on the franchise). Its a fantasticly quirky plateforme.r
There were so many great games in the past, I don't even get why people get excited for new releases. Sure, recent games can be good too, but why take a risk buying a new game (some crazy people even buy it on day one), when you can get estabilshed great games? You sir are AWESOME! As you said in the video I am tired of the same old games being featured on youtube, bloody awesome then that a stand up guy like you comes to change that!
Awesome. In the near future, you should do a video on another 50 Super NES/Super Famicom games we couldn't play, if not a video on 50 Genesis/Mega Drive games we couldn't play. Keep up the good work.
once again a good and informative video and yet another full list of games i can add to my search for the Super Famicom until then ill have to suffice with the games on my everdrive... and keep up the great work as always my friend i look forward to the next video
If I have to bring up a game series you left out. Three words: Shin. Megami. Tensei. There were four MegaTen games released for the Super Famicom (1, 2, if... and Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei which was the Super Famicom remake of the original two games for the Famicom) and we haven't gotten a single one of them. Despite the MANY ports and remakes of these games, the only officially localized version of any of those four titles is that Atlus USA localized Shin Megami Tensei 1 for...iOS devices. But that aside, I just wanted to say AWESOME, video dude. A really good mix of games I've heard of vs. ones that I can't believe I hadn't heard of sooner. I can really tell you brought your A-Game to this video, and it was a great watch. Keep up the good work, dude, and I can't wait for more.
Dan Ibbertson was the one who suggested I check out your channel and I finally did and this was the first video and wow. I didn't realize there were so many games that look super interesting that didn't get out of japan. Time to look for fan patches for english translations huh? :P
Nice channel and video! PS: I'm looking forward to your video on the SuFami Fire Emblem games. The fourth entry in the series shown in this video is one of my favourite games of all time and a *really good* translation from Project Naga is about 99% complete. I literally cried when I played the Beta!
Then this video wouldn't have even half the views it has, because most would just read the titles of the games from the list and skip the video completely. Yeah, it happens...
Your right. Actually the real problem is that the author of these videos won't receive any money through ads from those who just skip the video, though the same could be said about people using applications like AdBlock.
Great list! I'd played most of the games of this list, 8 that I'was not familiar with at all; I have a LOoong SNES Roms collection. More than a thousand games, and I'm still playing a lot just to finish them.
Great list, didn't knew a bunch of them, definitely some games I'd like to get my hands on. Also very happy you included the Goemon series, it's so underrated. The title was a bit misleading though, I thought at 1st it's about 50 unreleased SNES games tbh.
Thank you for featuring Tales of Phantasia, I *adored* this game... watching this makes me want to play it again, the humor in it was pretty good too :D
I saw Great Battles in the opening as you were talking and I knew I was going to like this, me & my friends loved playing Great Battle III,IV & V on snes. We didn't know much about Gundams/Ultraman/Kaman Rider at the time cause we were kids playing import games. Still super happy to see Fighter Roar from the Great battle series still lives on in SRW PS4 titles
Thanks so much for this video. I just bought a famicom and thought there were only RPG's which I can't read and would hate anyhow, some of these games look sick!

Man, Square-Soft were freaking amazing back in the day, pumping out great games like clockwork. Now they're nothing more than a shell of their former selves.
Such vast knowledge in this topic! 13:18 worth to mention that it's a whole adventure against varying foes and bosses through very different landscapes... all in order to get a candy as a reward! I really loved this game, sadly never knew what they were saying.
Fantastic video. I can't believe I hadn't heard of some of these before. Wasn't a big fan of the click-bait-ish title but it's still an excellent video.
RPG Tsukuru 1 and 2. No one outside of Japan got a console version of RPG Maker until it was released on the Sony PlayStation. (RPG Tsukuru 3/RPG Maker)
Great video. Liked. Never heard of some of those games, so this vid was very refreshing. That said, I think you need a better mic. Your voice sounds a bit muffled.
I think you miss a few more. Let me list them: -Alcahest -Araiguma Rascal -Assault Suit Valken -Bakukyuu Renpatsu!! Super B-Daman -Chaos Seed -FEDA Emblem of justice -Hamelin no Violin hiki -All the Kunio-kun/Nekketsu games weren`t release in the west -SMT series -Romancing Saga 3
Look we all know we're here because of that clickbait thumbnail image, so here you go: shayeragal.deviantart.com/art/peach-gallery-icon-design-134201544 He got it from DeviantArt, and there it is. Now you don't have to watch the video
MAGICAL POP'N! MY MAN! I loved that game as a kid. Something about the character, Princess, and the digitized speech. Plus the fact that the bosses were insanely hard. I wonder how my copy got into America, because I remember picking it up at a yard sale in the early 2000s. I've looked for years about who Pack In Video was, but I've never found anything much about them.
Some of my other favorite Japan-only SNES games: -JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. A somewhat janky RPG with some weird point-and-click style adventuring. It's a weird game but charming enough for any fan of JoJo who was ever curious to see the Stardust Crusaders arc retold in the form of a 16-bit RPG. -Sailor Moon R. An enjoyable beat-em-up that is a sequel to the previous 16-bit Sailor Moon game. Has some improved gameplay and a new mode to play as Chibi-Usa who enjoyably snaps the game in half. There's also Sailor Moon S, an enjoyable fighting game from Arc System Works (later famous for the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series) and Sailor Moon: Another Story, an enjoyable RPG that while somewhat easy has a lot of the charm of the show. -Famicom Detective Club Part II. A 16-bit remake of the Famicom game, this is a visual novel adventure game that has some pretty interesting writing and enjoyable characters. Not one of Nintendo's top tier series but still definitely worth a look for people who enjoy mystery game series like Ace Attorney or Zero Escape and just want to see a Nintendo game that does something different.
Was that actually the very first JJBA game? It wouldn't surprise me since the OVA barely predates it, and that was the first bit of anime it ever got. No 8-bit games were there? (I sure wish there could have been a BAOH game even if he was included in more recent JJBA games.)
FIRST! Also, fantastic video mate, only knew of a few of these. as i'm not rhat big on rpgs i'm glad i went down the sega route. However, the side scrollers in this list have very much peeked my interest. massive thanks for your hard work. YEEEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
For fans of action puzzle games, I also have to mention a few more SNES titles that were only released in Japan: Mario’s Super Picross (a cross between Minesweeper and Sudoku) Super Tetris 3 (with 4-player mode!) Tetris Battle Gaiden (full on competitive Tetris with each character having 4 special attacks based on how many gems you’ve cleared in lines and a common tetrimino pool) Super Puyo Puyo (color-based falling blob matching)
Here's a few for the list: 1. Shigesato Itoi's Bass Fishing No. 1, a fishing/role playing game by the guy behind Earthbound, it's pretty fun and graphically really impressive. 2. Nankoku Shonen Papuwakun, a really smooth and good looking action platformer 3. Neugier, a linear action RPG
I really need to find a copy of Secret of Mana 2. I keep thinking about getting a repro of it, but haven't done it yet. One of the top Japanese only SNES games I'd really love to play!

The best part? Most "collectors" don't dare to touch Japanese versions of games so most SuFami releases are pretty affordable, even CIB.
tunainoil definitely, I picked up chrono trigger for £3 and Mario RPG for £5. bargain

Exactly!
Zaphero Huh? The fact consoles are inferior doesn't mean people are more likely to buy games for them and you used the word punk in a way that makes absolutely no sense. Please Nintendo, no more region locking.
You're gonna love the switch.
And no more treating fans, honest reviewers and LPers like garbage.
Prometheus Darkstar The Switch'll be region-free... wOOt!
Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima said they are looking at also making a full blown 3DS/2DS successor that will also be region free. Personally think it's a face saving move if the Switch fails, as the 3DS/2DS line is still selling like gang busters.

Great videos!
Man, Square-Soft were freaking amazing back in the day, pumping out great games like clockwork. Now they're nothing more than a shell of their former selves.
The intro tune makes me feel like a Really Naughty Engine.
"You have caused confusion and delay!" - Sir topham hat
Watch your music levels! Otherwise -- GREAT video. Earned a sub. Can't wait to marathon more of your content!!
Thankfully these have been translated by fans over the years. I'm eternally thankful to those people.
You should make a list of Japanese Xbox 360 games we never got. Keep up the great videos !!
im late on this but love the list always looking for more snes stuff. also mad props for having clocktower on this list LOVE THAT GAME
This was informational. Thank you
Simply wonderful
I'm a new subscriber .
I had no idea you are a Thomas fan, Top Hat Gaming Man.
A very well done video once again, my friend👍
just subscribed, it brings back old memories of my childhood even tho I haven't played any of those games (I'm in the U.S market)
Bloody brilliant mate, cheers.
RPG Tsukuru 1 and 2.
No one outside of Japan got a console version of RPG Maker until it was released on the Sony PlayStation.
(RPG Tsukuru 3/RPG Maker)
Finally some games I haven’t seen yet! 👍👍👍
Amazing games I never knew existed. Thanks !
Bloody good video mate!
I smiled SO hard when you mentioned Radical Dreamers. It's really a good game and GORGEOUS music.
Great video. Liked. Never heard of some of those games, so this vid was very refreshing. That said, I think you need a better mic. Your voice sounds a bit muffled.
Thanks, Ill get one soon, once I know a bit more about how to effectively use audio equipment.
I'm glad I saw this, as I have missed a few of these in my older Emulator days.
"Which ones did you like?"
uhhhh, how about all of them? I freaking love the Ganbare Goemon series thanks to dedicated youtubers like you
I think you miss a few more. Let me list them:
-Alcahest
-Araiguma Rascal
-Assault Suit Valken
-Bakukyuu Renpatsu!! Super B-Daman
-Chaos Seed
-FEDA Emblem of justice
-Hamelin no Violin hiki
-All the Kunio-kun/Nekketsu games weren`t release in the west

Look we all know we're here because of that clickbait thumbnail image, so here you go: shayeragal.deviantart.com/art/peach-gallery-icon-design-134201544 He got it from DeviantArt, and there it is. Now you don't have to watch the video
Appreciated.
MAGICAL POP'N! MY MAN!
I loved that game as a kid. Something about the character, Princess, and the digitized speech. Plus the fact that the bosses were insanely hard. I wonder how my copy got into America, because I remember picking it up at a yard sale in the early 2000s. I've looked for years about who Pack In Video was, but I've never found anything much about them.
thanks for this edition. I never knew about a lot of these games. lord, you are a Beautiful man 💕
Some of my other favorite Japan-only SNES games:
-JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
(I sure wish there could have been a BAOH game even if he was included in more recent JJBA games.)
i picked up sailor moon R cib for 500 yen, its a fun simple beat em up
We're all here for the juicy Peach clickbait thumbnail 😂😂
Yep, same here, this is one of my favourite videos you've done so far - plenty of titles for me to look out for now! :)
Shining Force 1 and 2 are classics!
Here's a nice list of games I'll be keeping at eye out for over here.
Hello mr British villain in a top hat guy nice vid, could you please include a list in the description?
For fans of action puzzle games, I also have to mention a few more SNES titles that were only released in Japan:
Mario’s Super Picross (a cross between Minesweeper and Sudoku)
Super Tetris 3 (with 4-player mode!)
Tetris Battle Gaiden (full on competitive Tetris with each character having 4 special attacks based on how many gems you’ve cleared in lines and a common tetrimino pool)
Super Puyo Puyo (color-based falling blob matching)
I was feeling quite hopeless...until Radical Dreamers showed up near the ending. Man, do I love that game.
Here's a few for the list:
1. Shigesato Itoi's Bass Fishing No. 1, a fishing/role playing game by the guy behind Earthbound, it's pretty fun and graphically really impressive.
2. Nankoku Shonen Papuwakun, a really smooth and good looking action platformer
3. Neugier, a linear action RPG
Oooo I like this!
I am sooo subbing to you good sir!
Thank you for showing me Radical Dreamers. I never knew about that game and I LOVE Chrono-Cross. Looking forward to checking it out.
I really need to find a copy of Secret of Mana 2. I keep thinking about getting a repro of it, but haven't done it yet. One of the top Japanese only SNES games I'd really love to play!
I have a repro of it. Its worth getting.
