Everything you says abt elective c sections is correct. I had one 3 weeks ago and you described it perfectly. I’m planning a c section w my second child. Loved it!
Currently in the hospital due to complications. I’m 28+4 weeks, praying to stay pregnant as long as possible for the health of my baby boy. Expected to stay and live in the hospital for the next 6 weeks. I’ve been following your vlogs prior to the complications and they have helped with your positivity. Hearing you say that you miss the life of just you and AJ almost made me want to cry bc I have felt the same way but never aloud myself to think it or say it out loud. There’s literally nothing wrong with it but for some reason I felt guilt around it. Thanks for your honesty!! I miss it being just me and my hubby sometimes and my son just turned 1 😢😅
Best tip is to not top up with formula if you intend to breastfeed make sure any top ups you do is breastmilk and then pump off the same amount after naps to keep the demand at that constant or increasing amount. Cluster feeding is when baby won’t get off you and that’s caused by the many growth spurts. Good luck everyone you can do it !
Depending on your goals (if you have those for time to provide breastmilk) I would encourage you to hold your pump schedule loosely. Typically around 12 weeks (or when you get your period again) your milk supply regulates and it can feel like it is less. If you’re cool supporting with formula then keep on keeping on! It’s a wild ride feeding a tiny human!
I’ve had three c-sections. First was emergent to save baby as she was in major distress with super low heart rate. She was sunny side up and the cord was wrapped around her shoulder which prevented her from properly descending into the birth canal. The second two c-sections were scheduled and NIGHT AND DAY when it came to recovering. I actually went home 33 hours after my second c-section because I felt so good. I felt like a million bucks just six days after birth. My biggest thing was having that first bowel movement. Once I was finally able to poop, game over. I felt incredible. I was vacuuming my house within an hour of coming home after my third c-section. Everyone’s experiences are different but it’s insane how much your body remembers and activates muscle memory for those recoveries. I had zero interest in a VBAC and my doctor actually didn’t even allow them due to the risks.
Yes! I totally agree here. My planned C-section after my emergency C-section was amazing. No comparison. I had that same awful shaking with my emergency C-section and I agree that it was the most terrible part of it. The spinal block they gave me for my planned C-section was just like stepping into a hot tub, it felt amazing! And my baby was out in 7 minutes. No fuss, no muss, I was eating a steak dinner shortly thereafter. I got pregnant six months after my emergency C-section -- not ideal, but my OB was fine with it -- so exactly 15 months to the day after my crazy emergency C-section, I had the wonderful planned C-section and it was EVERYTHING! (Now my daughters are great together, thank goodness, at ages 15 and 16!)
I love how informative this is! It’s definitely reminding me to be open minded because things can change! Very appreciative, from a first time expecting mom! Thank you 🥰
Birth is such an incredible thing, no matter how it happens. I had my first baby via induction at the end of August. I know so many people who've gone through the induction-->c-section pipeline that I kinda half expected it to happen to me too when I found out I needed to be induced for FGR. Especially when I stalled at 5cm for over 12 hours. But then when they broke my water "spontaneous" labor kicked off on its own and I was able to be taken off all the pitocin, fluids, etc. Still, however your baby comes out of you, you've done an amazing thing!
I didn’t know breakfast milk stains either!!! I love to see you chatting and being able to have pockets of time for yourself. So happy to see you holding your baby, God is good!
I was an EPer for the first four months of my baby’s life. I would encourage you not to drop too many pumps too soon. I had a very similar experience to you… “oversupply” at the beginning first few weeks/month and even with consistently pumping every 3 hours around the clock, when my supply regulated it dropped substantially and we had to supplement. No shame in formula if that’s ultimately your plan (it made life so much better for us) but if you want to do BM long term that’s something to think of
It’s common to over supply in the beginning but I would suggest you continue pumping every 3 hours even overnight (preferably for 30 minutes). If you drop too many sessions and reduce pumping time your body will think your baby requires very little milk and stop producing.
Expecting my second in the beginning of February, my first son's delivery was a dream, so I'm mentally preparing myself for anything. You can never really know how your birth story will be until it's all said and done. Congratulations to you and your beautiful family!
I literally had my baby boy two days before you via planned c-section because he was breech my entire pregnancy. Luckily my experience was very positive as well and just so happy for us both. On this recovery with you girl! Wishing you a happy healthy 4th trimester!
thank you for sharing your story! Breastmilk will come out after a couple washes. Just put the clothes back in a couple times and it washes right out! Also, just to note, most milk supplies don't fully regulate until about 12 weeks postpartum. If you pump/remove milk too little in the first 12 weeks, you *may* experience a big decrease once your supply regulates. Right now you have a lot of prolactin driving your supply, but after regulation it is solely demand driving supply. Just something to be mindful of. Generally, the advice is to keep pumping adequately & in the night until supply fully regulates
This gives me memories of when i had my daughter 11yrs ago. Lol it's made me scared of ever having kids again 😂. She's 11yrs old and I'm 28yrs old , she's my little best friend and i thank God for her life everyday. I'm happy and thankful that you and your baby are both okay, we thank God for everything. Much love ❤️
Rachel! This video was so informative. I'm a FTM with twins that are in due in February and I'm opting for a c-section. Looking forward to your must haves because I'm trying to prep as early as I can.
Omg! Your first video in Spanish! I'm so excited, I honestly loved this video, thanks for sharing us, I don't miss your videos and your content! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
So with L & D they do have the hand held ultrasound they can wheel in at any point if you request it they cannot withhold it unless you aren’t the priority. I used this for my pre labor assurance my youngest wasn’t breech.
Wow I just gave birth recently and my epidural “wore off” a few hours before I started pushing and I decided not to get the other meds so that I could push in different positions, but after watching your video I’m so glad I did not “up” my epidural! I’m so sorry you experienced those shakes 😔 It’s true, with the initial epi I was shaking but able to control it, but I can’t imagine feeling the way you did. You go girl.
Ultrasounds at the point (in labor) aren’t as accurate because the head is so low in the pelvic cavity that it’s hard to decipher perfectly and also in labor there’s so many position changes we try to correct it that there’s no guarantee- we try to prevent c-sections so we try to go for the vaginal delivery and sometimes the position changes work!!
Congratulations on your healthy birth, Rachel! This stage of life is something way in the future for me but best believe I’ve watched every single weekly upload from you! God bless you and your little family ❤
This video somehow reminded me one of your old videoes where you were telling about TTC for a year. It was the first video I saw of you and followed all the journey afterwards. It's so nice to see where are you now and so good that you share such positive vibes being just 3 weeks postpartum ❤️
Rachel, I've been following you for a few years now. I remember your struggle to get pregnant and how upset I was for you. And today, we're completing 1 year of trying to conceive! Of course, 2 months ago I went to seek medical help and at first there's nothing wrong 🫠 I understand exactly your journey now! But following you, especially now postpartum, makes everything more hopeful! Thank you for sharing everything so rawly here ❤️ May God bless your family! JJ is perfectttt! Beijos do Brasil 🇧🇷
Oxiclean stain remove spray We have it by our changing table and it’s been great. Spray the stuff right away and then just toss into the directly laundry. Did two loads already and both my clothes and baby girls are stain free.
Thanks for sharing, Rachel! You were so detailed. I’m not a mother yet but hope to be in the future and this truly helps. I hope to come back to this video in the future ❤
We are so similar! My son was born via c-section only a few days after yours, and I am also exclusively pumping right now. Watching this during my middle of the night pump! You are doing great, it’s so fun to watch someone else going through these newborn days alongside me!
As someone who has had three inductions because I’m on blood thinners and have to go off of them to deliver baby and then get back on them, ladies, Bishop Score is EVERYTHING!! Definitely not anti induction since obviously I’ve had them, but know your bishop score beforehand so you can adjust your expectations on whether you will most likely have a c-section or not. Inductions and c sections are life saving!! But if you are not dilated, baby is not in an optimal position, you are not effaced, etc. an easy induction experience might not be in the cards for you. Rachel, you are a rockstar! A 4 day induction is NO JOKE. So glad Jesse is here safely and you are doing well ❤️
Congrats Rachel! I have been watching your videos since you were pregnant. My due date was a few days later than yours but I gave birth to my son on Oct 30th after an induction! I am still coping with the new life after the baby was born. It’s comforting and encouraging to watch how you manage everything! Thanks for sharing ❤
Just had my baby 3 weeks ago and they did an US immediately once I got into my delivery room. I was super relieved, too, because I have heard of babies turning breech at the last minute. I hate they didn’t do that for you.
I had the shaking my mom was so scared. I didn’t even remember until you mentioned it. Congratulations Rachel! Also enjoy your newborn I have a toddler now and it’s insane 😅
Rachel I am so so so glad that I've Found your RUclips Channel and your vlogs are really really a therapy for me sending you lots of love❤✨🤗 and I will always be your biggest biggest supportive
Your story is so close to mine. Except I was induced at 42 weeks, 34 hours of Pitocin with no epidural before I had an emergency c-section. I ended up having another, scheduled, c-section years later and the recovery was MUCH better
I had a similar experience and im 1 week post c section now. I went into spontaneous labor at home and labored for 48 hours. Finally got admitted to the hospital but I was only 3 cm dilated. They mainly admitted me due to baby’s heart rate having drops. I couldn’t get past 5 cm dilated. My water was broken and there was meconium. Had to get c section and my doctor said she also found my baby sunny side up with neck bent backwards. I was not prepared for a C-section but so grateful I made the choice to do it to ensure my baby was safe cus she wanted out! Lol
I'm sure you know this but dropping a night pump will eventually kill your supply no matter how much you pump all day. Try to get one in at 3am that's the ideal time to let your body know to keep making milk.
That's just not true. For me, being well rested had the biggest impact on my supply. Just finished 1 year of almost exclusive pumping. Exclusive not because I needed to supplement, but because I nursed as well.
Yes. My milk supply dropped. I only made it over 10 months pumping every two hours. I had to give up latching when he got teeth not of fan of getting bitten. Haha
@@RachelVinn You’ll be fine with the schedule you’re on now. ❤ I was on that same schedule it sounds like you’re on right now until almost 3 months pp and then I eventually dropped the 3am pump and just started around 6:30am with 4 pump sessions until 11:30pm 15-20 mins per session with 5-6 hrs between sessions and still had an oversupply of milk until almost 5 months pp. For me it didn’t really slow down until 6 months pp but I’m okay with where we’re at now because now I’m able to dip into my giant freezer stash and naturally with introducing some solids he’s just not drinking as much BM anyways. You’re doing so great pp and I’m so glad both you and baby boy are safe and thriving. 🥰
Rachel!!! I can’t I can’t get over of how extremely similar your giving birth experience is to mine. My baby is 6 month old now. But like omg it was soooo traumatizing for me!!! I start shaking to bad when I was pushing my baby out and got a panic attack as well so they have to do an emerged c section. By this time my water was Brocken 6 hours ago and my baby was born purple no breathing at all so he is a miracle of God. Oh and the anestesia did not get me so I felt the first cut into my belly with during the c section
No you don’t sound crazy! It happens and goes to your head!😅 when I came out of surgery the walls were SCROLLING!!! But I was healthy and baby was healthy!! But the first few days of a C section is hard but having a partner that helps is so important!
I’m always a silent viewer, never comment but I just had to share. I also had a failed induction, also developed a fever along with some sort of blood infection so things were bad, my baby’s heart rate was spiking through the roof and ultimately I had a c section delivery. I am beyond grateful for the medical team I had. The surgery was the best part, but no one prepares you for a c section recovery. It takes time but day by day you will get your strength back. My c section recovery took about 8 weeks to feel completely normal even though it’s a new normal. My baby is 6 months old, I still experience back pain (a good support belt will help with this), I still have strange numbness by areas of my c section but honestly 6 months in I feel great. What a blessing to be alive and share your world with your baby. Things will get better.. much better. ❤️
I am also a c section mommy Mine was elective And I am very grateful for the miracle ❤ Best wishes to you Rachael for the recovery ❤ It gets easier and easier with time ❤ When people say "time heals" it's true I am 9 months old mommy now and almost feeling like my old self 😊 And an upgraded one 😊
The epidural was so traumatic for me too during my c section. They gave me way too much and I was shaking a lot and then didn't get any feeling back in my lower body for 12 hours...absolutely horrific 😢 Get scar therapy done on you c section scar...it got rid of my numbness in just 2 sessions...so good!
I feel so seen by this!! 😅 I had my emergency c-section and my son Elio on November 1st. My birthstory is very similar to yours (except my water broke naturally and I got an infection on Halloween).
I am a nurse, but not in L&D :) My guess is that insurance won't cover ultrasounds for positioning. A lot of time the doctors/staff can manually determine the baby's position pretty accurately. It might also have to do with the availability. Ultrasounding each woman in labor in the hospital would be a lot of patients.
Pumps with colostrum it’s better to syringe and squeeze the colostrum collect up your syringe. You can do pump but a lot gets wasted and it’s not as effective for that early colostrum.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm 37w today and hoping for a natural birth, but I'll rely on the Lord, to whatever is best for my baby and me. God bless you, you look amazing and so does your baby.
My 1st birth was like yours just 21 years ago. Main difference was that I did dilate enough but he too big and didn’t drop down enough. After 2 days and 2 hours pushing I had a c section. healthy baby boy with red hair.🧑🦰 hope you’re doing well. Baby is precious.
Merry Christmas darling ❤.. i had two c sections with both my kids and will have one now with my third. Yup scar will get better after 40 days... back pain is thanks to the epidural.... the bagginness over the scar sadly stayed with me however it got sooo much better once i lost the weight
I was induced at 41 weeks, she was sunny side up but doctors did not do their job and so they had no idea. I pushed for almost 4 hours… I ended with a 3rd degree tear very close to 4th and I can no longer have vag births
Love your videos! I would highly highly encourage you not to give up on breastfeeding! In the long run breastfeeding is much more convenient than pumping! I cannot stress this enough!!! You will start to feel like a slave to the pump and you will always have to haul your pump everywhere you go or else your supply will tank. Also washing pump parts and bottles will soon get dreadful. But if you prioritize breastfeeding right now that you have the time it is so much easier to just whip out your boob anytime baby is hungry. No washing no freezing milk no thawing no heating just pull it out and done.
She is breastfeeding ❤️ pumping is breastfeeding and it’s a lot more common than you may think! I exclusively pumped with both my babies. For one I went almost 20 months. It seems like she’s doing what works best for her and as a former two-time exclusive pumper, it absolutely would not have been easier to be the only one to ever feed the baby or the only one to wake with baby at night or not to be able to go anywhere without baby. Truly would have destroyed my mental health. She’s doing what works right now ❤️❤️
@@kmarie60 well that was your experience. With my first baby I started off just like her. Pumping primarily because it was easier at the time, once normal life resumed baby ended up preferring the bottle over the breast so I became an exclusive pumper. Which I only kept up for a year because like I stated I was a slave to the pump and a slave to washing bottles & pump parts and freezing & thawing milk. Wish someone had warned me about how it could feel to exclusively pump. But I got wiser with my second which I prioritized latching not pumping. The freedom was amazing so much so that my second breasted until he was 4 1l2 yrs old. I’m just offering some insight from someone who has experienced both. In my experience breastfeeding straight from the breast is much more convenient and freeing in the long run. You have only experienced exclusively pumping so you really can’t talk about the benefits from exclusively breastfeeding directly from the breast.
@@HaleySmith yes completely agree. I obviously love both of my boys, but I feel more bonded to my second whom I exclusively latched and breastfed until he was 4.5 yrs. I will forever regret not prioritizing breastfeeding my first son 😔
@ yes, and this is your experience. You offered unsolicited advice for Rachel so I offered her encouragement about the path she is on. I did try nursing with my first for a few weeks and it was the worst. I hated every second of it which led me to exclusive pumping. With my second I didn’t even try nursing and I felt so much more at peace after giving birth. I knew dad and grandparents could always feed baby, I could always get a break and run to the store and not worry about baby needing to eat, dad and I could alternate middle of the night wakes so I could get more sleep So yes I shared my subjective experience, but you also shared your subjective experience which was discouraging for the path Rachel is currently on. She deserves support and encouragement for however she chooses to feed baby, not someone to tell her she’ll be miserable and hate her life if she continues to pump lol. It was a blessing for me to have found pumping. So for the future maybe try not to scare freshly postpartum mamas ❤️ I wanted to offer her a not scary and encouraging view. All the best!
I'm so glad that your c section was good. My two c sections were bad. The medicine you have to take before hand is sooo sour that I threw up the whole time. Was throwing up so much that I was choking on mine and they had to stand behind me and suction my mouth.
I'm in my 5 days postpartum now, C-section as well and still have lower backpain in both sides. But with the help of this waist binder I can tolerate the pain. Watching your video from PH🇵🇭😊
I just got the Kroger brand stain remover for like $3 and I spray it on clothes as quickly as possible after spit ups before putting it in the hamper and that usually gets out all the stains !
Congratulations on your baby, may God keep him for many years. I take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I won't miss any of your videos. Gracias por este este video en Español!!! Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
My advice for sleep: 3 bags of valerian root tea, 3 bags of sleepy time melatonin tea, one scoop (1 gram) of gaba powder, & 1 scoop of magnesium calm powder. Also a hot shower just after you jug your tea so when you lay down the tea cocktail will hit & you will be so relaxed after your hot shower. Also I hear a lot about something called BEAM DREAM, I’ve never tried it but a lot of youtubers rave about this product 🤷🏻♀️
For the C-section pouch, mine eventually did go away after sometime. I am about seven months postpartum and I also do not have the numbing feeling on my scar anymore, which is amazing because I was really worried about that.
Food vitamin intake is crucial also. Whey I totally agree but veggies and meat classic dishes . Enough carbs and fat ; calories underneath 2300-2600 is really where I lose hair after four babies I haven’t lost any hair with 1 and 4 due to eating a lot more food. So with the back pain with c section if it’s not consistent and you stop babywearing I bet it will stop. I have lots of pillows for feeding too that’s huge as if it’s not associated from an issue with spinal /epidurals it’s usually posture related with feeding or carrying. Get someone to check your carrier hold positioning and also ensure when you do start movement Pilates is really great for getting things like back pain to alleviate.
Thank you for the chat! Just a suggestions to talk to your doctor about other sleep aides you can take. Long term use of Benadryl (consistent use for more than 2 weeks) is not good. You deserve good quality sleep, so I hope you find a long term solution!
They don't do ultrasounds (for that reason) because babies still twist and turn continuously. So a baby may not be sunny side up until you get to pushing and vice versa. Also its position in th weeks before is not a reason for concern because it isn't telling.
I had a C-section, and I experienced no back pain. But I know some people who had epidurals still experience back pain years later. Could be from both, but I hear it’s common from epidural.
Lay the stained item out in the sun, it removes breast milk stains pretty quickly! Additionally, messy mouth stain remover is magic once the baby starts eating solids or for formula stains
I had a super similar experience with my first birth (I messaged you on IG) and they actually did do an ultrasound after I hadn’t progressed in over 12 hours. The doctor manually rotated my daughter’s head and she still flipped right back! 🙄 So I think sometimes it doesn’t make a difference. I exclusively pumped too with my first and struggled with oversupply with all 4 of my kids. As to the middle of the night pump, just let your boobs wake you up. I get clogged ducts if I purposely sleep through engorgement.
You will never feel "like yourself" anymore. Motherhood will change your brain forever and this change started in pregnancy. You fill find new self ❤🙏 and it does get easier. All the best wishes ❄️🎄.
In Estonia, they do ultrasound the day you go for induction to check everything and check the weight of the baby. Maybe it is possible in USA aswell if you ask for it? Would be interesting to know why it's not regularly done.
I remember shaking so hard . I thought I was dying 😂😂. I laugh now but I was so scared at the time. My teeth were hitting each other , that’s how cold I felt and was shaking.
If you want to pump or nurse long term girl, get that middle of the night pump back in (I know, it’s sucksssss)!! But your supply will drop, it’s probably plenty now, but this is the time to pump and save since baby is eating so little! (Typing this while pumping 💀😂)
@@RachelVinn for me, being well rested had a much bigger impact on my supply than trying to squeeze in a MOTN pump. you will figure out if you need to add that back in or can skip it. I just successfully breastfed (mostly pumping) for a year and there are way too many opinions out there. Only you know what your body is responding to!
My daughter pooped in me too but thankfully didn’t swallow it either. And Omg I totally don’t remember some parts of my C-section either. I was so delirious during it.
So crazy! I had my daughter the same day. She was 41 weeks and she came out precisely in the same position! Sunny side up and with her face kind of to the side just like you explained. They had to give me an episiotomy and she almost came out through an emergency c-section Edit: omg so crazy. She also pooped in my water. I wanted to have a home birth and I couldn't because my water broke and I saw meconium. Extra edit: I had a lot of back pain after my first daughter and I believe the reason is the epidural because with ny second (the story that i described above) i didn't have an epidural and I didn't experience any back pain during the recovery

I had a very similar birth experience! 40+1 sunny side up baby, stalled at 6cm and delivered her via c-section. She’s 11 weeks now happy and healthy ❤
Oxiclean stain remove spray
We have it by our changing table and it’s been great.
Glad it was helpful! 🩵
I gave birth a week before you. Love seeing your journey along the same timeline as me. TY and congrats! You look amazing Rachel!
You look so adorable holding your baby so close ♥♥♥♥ May god always bless you and your lovely child😍
Came here to say this!
Haha
I still pump at 3 am I just dropped the 12am one for now! Supply has dipped but I’m okay with that 🩵
@@RachelVinn You’ll be fine with the schedule you’re on now.
Dish soap, miss mouths messy eaters, and puracy are my fave stain removers :)
15:15 amen
I am also a c section mommy
Mine was elective
And I am very grateful for the miracle ❤
Best wishes to you Rachael for the recovery ❤
It gets easier and easier with time ❤
When people say "time heals" it's true
I am 9 months old mommy now and almost feeling like my old self 😊
And an upgraded one 😊
And I would love to go through this all again 😊
The epidural was so traumatic for me too during my c section. They gave me way too much and I was shaking a lot and then didn't get any feeling back in my lower body for 12 hours...absolutely horrific 😢
Get scar therapy done on you c section scar...it got rid of my numbness in just 2 sessions...so good!
Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater stain treater spray is amazing!!!! For breast milk/spit up/poop/food-so many stains! I’m constantly reordering it off Amazon
4 weeks postpartum. Yes i remember the violent shaking. But i wasn't cold. I just remember telling myself to calm down
I feel so seen by this!!
Milk comes in 2-4 days after giving birth. She’s way past the stage of having colostrum!
She’s doing what works right now ❤️❤️
I agree. Also that beautiful connection you have with baby while breastfeeding where you release all the feel good hormones.
I knew dad and grandparents could always feed baby, I could always get a break and run to the store and not worry about baby needing to eat, dad and I could alternate middle of the night wakes so I could get more sleep
So yes I shared my subjective experience, but you also shared your subjective experience which was discouraging for the path Rachel is currently on.
Motherhood looks so good on you ❤
We are so lucky in the UK that we don't have to think about bills/insurance - NHS is the best
I'm in my 5 days postpartum now, C-section as well and still have lower backpain in both sides. But with the help of this waist binder I can tolerate the pain. Watching your video from PH🇵🇭😊
You got this!
I knew your husband is Filipino!! Aww half filipino babies are the cutest..speaking of a Mama of a Fil-Am baby
Omg we had similar experience. I was induced 30/10/24 I was 39wks and 4 days. I ended up emergency c-section. Congratulations 🎉.
I just got the Kroger brand stain remover for like $3 and I spray it on clothes as quickly as possible after spit ups before putting it in the hamper and that usually gets out all the stains !
Thanks for sharing!!
I had an ultrasound when I got checked into labor and delivery with both babies! I didn’t know that wasn’t common
My baby was born premature at 35 weeks I had preeclampsia. I’m glad you didn’t had to experience. He is now 16 weeks old and a healthy baby boy 💙🤱
Congratulations on your baby, may God keep him for many years. I take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I won't miss any of your videos.
Gracias por este este video en Español!!!

Your medical system when it comes to money absolutely blows my mind. 22 grand 😱😱 everything just seems like a business in America.
I had a C-section, and I experienced no back pain. But I know some people who had epidurals still experience back pain years later. Could be from both, but I hear it’s common from epidural.
Congrats on your precious boy! So happy for u and AJ ❤
FYI insurance are required by law to cover the cost of a breast pump (once for every pregnancy)
Omg yessss!!! Been stalking RUclips like a hawk!
I had crazy shaking too I was very itchy and yes they had to put new medication because epidural was not working
Just wondering what you decided to do about going into work. Like when you decided was a good time to go back or not yet.
The shaking also happens because of a drop in hormone levels while giving birth
I remember shaking so hard . I thought I was dying 😂😂. I laugh now but I was so scared at the time. My teeth were hitting each other , that’s how cold I felt and was shaking.
Yes it’s actually a drop in adrenaline
If you want to pump or nurse long term girl, get that middle of the night pump back in (I know, it’s sucksssss)!! But your supply will drop, it’s probably plenty now, but this is the time to pump and save since baby is eating so little! (Typing this while pumping 💀😂)
Ughhhh I know 🥴 it’s so hard though
@@RachelVinn for me, being well rested had a much bigger impact on my supply than trying to squeeze in a MOTN pump. you will figure out if you need to add that back in or can skip it. I just successfully breastfed (mostly pumping) for a year and there are way too many opinions out there. Only you know what your body is responding to!
You should try magnesium for sleep! Perelel has a sleep support supplement - it's a powder that you put in water and drink.
I received an ultrasound when I arrived at the hospital, this was last year in Kendall Regional
I treated my breastmilk stains with dawn dish soap and let it sit for a little bit then washed it.
i love that green shirt!!! where did she get it?
Halara :)
I’m sorry 22k?????? Did I hear that correctly. Sheesh. That’s insane.
For the stains, sunlight!
Girlll no I felt that catheter, it was sooo uncomfortable once they put it in until I got my epidural. TIP: get the catheter after epidural
Oh yes definitely get it after the epidural!!!
If you get mastitis, use sunflower lechtin- best thing ever!!!
I had the epidural when I gave birth in 2013 and I still get back pain. It's hard to lean over for a long time and it's hard to bend down at times.
They had to give me an episiotomy and she almost came out through an emergency c-section
Edit: omg so crazy.
Oh wow! 😮😮
Happy Monday, Rachel! 😊
❤
Breast milk stains: the sun!! Put the items out in the sun and they’ll be gone
