I’m about to take this thread through a hard turn butttt…. What's the real horror: Firealarms (at least in here) do that same shiieet at times. When there's no fire or not even batteries in them. That's how I learned and every time I wish it would be a creepy toy.

Just in case anyone is wondering what the relation between starch and sweeteners is: Starch is a polysaccharide, that is a long chain of sugar molecules. Using enzymes you can break them down into the sugar molecules. This happens during digestion in the body and it is also a crucial step in brewing, called mashing.
about the Furby question: my brother and I used to play with these furbies that our grandmother got us, and after we moved into her condo after she passed, we only had my Furby left because his broke. it would use the same prompts over and over again and it would always give the same responses depending on what you said. but one time we were playing with it while watching The Disney movie Mulan while mom was at work and the Furby responded to us, and right as it cut off from speaking. We heard it say "little brother!" the way that Mulan does at the beginning of the movie. we never touched that thing again. so i firmly believe they listened to and recorded us

Seeing that Furby on the table reminds me of a story from when I was a kid. I was very lucky to get a Furby when they first came out in 1998. I‘ve always loved sci-fi and I thought it was gonna be like having my own cute fluffy little alien to play with, like a Tribble but with more personality. I couldn’t have been more wrong. That Furby was haunted. It woke me up at 3am with demonic chanting more times than I could count. Every time that Furby opened its mouth it sounded like it was using the dark arts to summon Satan. Mind you, I was only 9 years old, so a toy with a broken speaker would’ve terrified the SHIT out of me. After only one month I packed the thing back in the box and threw it in a closet that was filled with board games and Barbies, shoved it all the way to the back where the light could not reach it. I wanted that thing to DIE. I didn’t even want to mess with the batteries again, I just wanted it out of my sight. I eventually forgot about it. When I graduated from high school I went back into that closet to clean it out, donate some toys, and organize my special edition collectible Barbies before I went off to college. From the pile of pink Barbie doll boxes in the corner I hear this garbled half-whispered “feeeeed meeeeee.” I genuinely had forgotten about the cursed Furby, and I didn’t recognize the voice, so I just kept going through boxes like normal… but I was definitely a bit freaked out that something with batteries was still working and I didn’t know what. I moved ONE more box, and the Furby hit the light again. It blinked at me and immediately had a FULL-BLOWN seizure in the box while screeching F̴̯͊̓̒̈́E̷̢͓͇̋̀͐̊̚E̵̛̳̒̔́͐Ḍ̴͉͓̀ ̸̯͕͑͐͂͋M̵̜̆́̎̏Ȩ̴̙̟̯̔̊̀̌͒ͅ like a banshee. I grabbed the box with the Furby in it, threw it outside into the driveway, and smashed it with a hammer. I regret that now bc apparently that Furby is worth like $300 because the box had a typo on it 😭
When I was younger I had sleep paralysis and my furby started glowing, moving and talking, I still don’t know to this day if it actually happened or if it was an hallucination 😭😭
I had a furby. My children found it (5 and 7), they thought it was cool, until it wasn’t. My fearless 5 year old started screaming MAKE IT STOP! I was actually shocked it still worked almost 30 years later.
Courtney right on with the McDonald’s collectibles. Anyone remember The Dog? The store ones were too expensive but the McDonald’s ones-that was currency on the playground.
An ex of mine had a hoarder level obsession with Webkinz. She easily had thousands. Her entire closet was filled top to bottom with shelves, her bed had multiple 50gallom tubs filled with them. After a few years of dating I discovered she also had a storage unit that was filled to the brim with them. She easily spent 20k on them.
@@torit4534 she didn't have most of them online, only a few. She called herself a collector but she was really just a hoarder unfortunately. Granted some of those things were investments, worth thousands still in the box and stuff. But she had probably spent 80k just on the stuffed animals.
Shane's story about the Furby talking in the middle of the night is similar to what happened to me. I absolutely loved watching the show Gargoyles with my son and bought the Goliath bank when it came out. One night I was all alone working on a computer when Goliath said "Humans fear what they do not understand." That was an understatement, given the situation. Goliath spent the night in my car without batteries while I spent the night trying to calm down.
I had a furby in the 90s and it got annoying after the hype died off so we took the batteries out and put it under the kitchen drawer in a cabinet. Years later opened the kitchen drawer we hear the furby go "YUM" and the mechanical sound it made when moving. It immediately went out to our trash bin in the garage. NO thank you.
Spenser actually wasn't that far off when he said "Action Guy (or something)" for the larger G.I. Joe because there was a British variation called Action Man! Action Man did everything! He had moving eyes and some could talk!

Neat! :)
about the Furby question:
my brother and I used to play with these furbies that our grandmother got us, and after we moved into her condo after she passed, we only had my Furby left because his broke. it would use the same prompts over and over again and it would always give the same responses depending on what you said.
but one time we were playing with it while watching The Disney movie Mulan while mom was at work and the Furby responded to us, and right as it cut off from speaking. We heard it say "little brother!" the way that Mulan does at the beginning of the movie. we never touched that thing again.
so i firmly believe they listened to and recorded us
Literally the only Beopardy i’d nail 100%
Same! 😂
Give us an update, did you really get 100?
@@kuyaboben5300 I didn't, but it was probably the best Beopardy I've ever had.
“I want a Christmas bonus. Let’s get rid of this card!”
Please do Beopardy about the HISTORY OF SMOSH with Amanda, Arasha, Chanse and Angela ❤❤❤
Turbo man going right over arasha's head was priceless 😂😂
As someone who had over 20 Webkinz, I remember being SO terrified about the hacker rumor. I refused to log in for a while cus I thought I'd find my lil platypus dead in his room :(
7:48 "Honey?", man, Arasha was so adorable!
8:20 them doing the family feud correct answer sound effect to go along with the bit was super funny! i love the attention to detail
The straight up "Nope", when Arasha said she would get 100 points was funny as hell.
I remember when Polly Pocket got recalled so I turned them all in at walmart or target and got $50 for them. I regret that decision lol.
18:44 those are not webkins!!
Good idea smosh! You guys should totally do a family feud series 😂
Cast vs crew would be a cool family fued or something like that.
They did!!
They did before & they need to do more. New cast against original cast
Need to do this again.
Tommy's disappointment at Arasha's "Space Toys" is awesome.
I love that Courtney and Spencer are wearing the same outfit in a different font
16:18 Omg this part is so funny don’t disrespect Arasha like that!! 🤣🤣🤣
''I love to play'' has the exact same energy as ''allow me to break the ice'' 😂
07:08 there is not a single thought behind Court's eyes, i love them. Head empty, just goop
07:40 again, massive himbo energy, im into it.
09:07 again. they're so silly i love her
What I've learned is that Courtney is very particular about feet and shoes on her toys
11:47 Angela would’ve gotten that one immediately based entirely on the fact she was in _Black Friday_ which mentioned that in the script.
Every episode with Spencer makes me wish he streamed. He seems like he'd be fun to hang out with while gaming, watching a movie, etc. Also, I didn't hear about the JP lego sets and definitely bought one after this ^_^.
Spencer’s dedication to saying the same phrase over and over again is one of my favorite reoccurring gags. 😂
Hoping to maybe see a Cartoon Network one like Damien wanted since we did a Nick/Disney one before!
I had a furby. My children found it (5 and 7), they thought it was cool, until it wasn’t. My fearless 5 year old started screaming MAKE IT STOP!
I was actually shocked it still worked almost 30 years later.
That Rhett & Link figures added a nice touch to the set ❤
0:47 Spencer laughing after Shayne says "Come on, Barbie" 😅
Courtney right on with the McDonald’s collectibles. Anyone remember The Dog? The store ones were too expensive but the McDonald’s ones-that was currency on the playground.
Courtney’s “Chad” face scared me at 7:30.
There's no way she had them all online ?!?
@@torit4534 she didn't have most of them online, only a few. She called herself a collector but she was really just a hoarder unfortunately. Granted some of those things were investments, worth thousands still in the box and stuff. But she had probably spent 80k just on the stuffed animals.
Spencer silently losing it the first time shayne introduced the “come on barbie” category is me
Shane's story about the Furby talking in the middle of the night is similar to what happened to me.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that discovered I was bisexual because of the bratz.
Bratz Rock Angelz was my awakening
Spencer just casually buzzing on every question, daring someone to beat him to it.
Now, to turn this episode into a drinking game... Take a shot everytime Spencer says "I Love To Play"!!!
Courtney definitely had every single toy that was ever made, I feel that in my soul.
Spenser actually wasn't that far off when he said "Action Guy (or something)" for the larger G.I. Joe because there was a British variation called Action Man!
Action Man did everything! He had moving eyes and some could talk!
“Who bought a toy last?”
“That’s a dirty question”
The way I choked on my spit at this 😂😂😂
Ok, but now I'm curious who actually owns that 1st edition Blue-Eyes White Dragon at Smosh. I doubt it's just company property lol
Yeah, how is it casually there?
It's likely a later reprint or a starter deck version of the same design.
