NOPE.. she don't corner well.. that rear 230 tire is flat on the bottom, lean 'er far over. C109RT Bagger here (800 Lbs??). Add some torque in a corner, and woah.. she stands right up and heads for the guard rail! You have to anticipate throttle with what 125 Ft. Lbs or Torque? Newbies beware! Good news is for it's weight, it isn't that bad to roll it up on the back of the front tire. 2009 C109RT, Gorgeous Red looks brand new..

Wow you have really low miles on that machine! :0. Yeah I would say that it's best to roll on once you are pointed in the right direction, after coming out of the corner, but that's pretty much true of most powerful machines, even the big sportbikes. The tire size and weight of the m109r is a really interesting experience for sure! It's hard to compare it to other things, its almost in class of its own. Maybe the Triumph Rocket 3, that would give the m109r a run for its money :)

I own an M109r, obviously, and I have no issues with the handling on the twisties. I use mine everyday, which includes a lot of city riding, with tight manoeuvres and its never been a problem. I also do a lot country lane riding, including twisting mountain roads, again performs really well. The biggest draw back for me would be the weight of the bike at slow speeds. But I guess you dont get accelaration and torque without some flaws.
My front brake is incredibly sharp, to a point its easy to lock up the wheel, but like you said, just rolling off the throttle really slows the bike.
The rear tyre on mine is a 240, and that's big enough, I find this performs well enough. Also, where I live, if you put non-standard size tyres on the bike, it will fail the two yearly inspection.
Personally, I think its one of the best put together bikes I've ridden, over my 40 years of riding.
I guess its all about what your used to, my previous bike was the VL800 Intruder, but I've also owned GSXR, CBR and ZXR's over the years.

Thanks for checking out the m109r content again Steve! It sounds like you've had to the chance to ride a bunch of different machines! Which one was your favorite would you say? I really did enjoy the M109r, I think it's a blast to ride, and I do like the way they corner, it's very stable! Out of all the cruisers I've ridden I think the m109r has the most character, it could be down to the massive engine and torque though, it really gets moving! haha

@@PastorMattMoto Its a great question, they all their own merits, depending on what you want from a bike. The Suzuki GSXR1100 was just plain crazy for speed. The CBR1000 was an awesome tourer.
But I would say, the best bikes I owned, Boulevard VL800, I put about 80,000b KM on this , and now the M109r, as its an absolute beast of bike.

I'd like to check out a CBR1000 next year as well, I've been on the R1 and GSXR1000, but not the Honda yet! Have you had the chance to try out any of the Indian cruisers? I'm interested in the Scout as well.....so many bikes, so little time! Haha
