Hey hows it going? I'm for the Isle of Barra and live and have been lucky enough to have been brought up in Eoligarry (Pronounced (Owly-Garry) this tune is one of my favorites and lovely to see more people getting to hear it!

Andrew Henderson now just to confirm...
      Is that:
Owl (as on the bird) ee-garry
Or does it sound more like
Owe (as in to owe money) lee-garry

    • @andrewhenderson433
      @andrewhenderson433 6 лет назад +3

Yeah owl as in the bird about it! Hopefully it sounds about right in your accent! x

so good evening Stephanie. I hope so one day I can play with my tin whistles melodies of Irish. You've to know I am German and the hearts of Germans beats on other way, but Irish Music is one of my favourites. Everyday I learn a little bit and hope it's getting better all the time. Well, let me say, that your practise instructions are very well. Like it very much. Thank you and greetings.

Stephanie, I hope you've had a happy and healthy Easter. It was a perfect day for Easter here. It was beautiful 76 degree weather and a lazy day for me... I was putting off the must geter done things for tomorrow. Those get her done things involve a shovel and a septic leach field. I'm not installing one, just having to investigate and clean it, or replace it. It's been a good one since I made it years ago with a shovel and no machinery. So I know what to do and where I will be digging. It's all part of being a home owner in the woods. Tree roots have a way of getting into those field line pipes and clogging them up. Now, enough of the romantic stuff... Lets talk about Valentine's day. Looking at your weather there, it appears that it is still very much wintry. So Febuary the 14th Valentine's day must have been in the middle of winter for you. How is someone suppose to get romantic when it's so cold and wintry with no signs of spring in sight. We are seeing signs of spring by Valentine's day here for sure. And of coarse it is warm in the day time, but cool at night and romantic as it gets here now on Easter. What does warmth have to do with romance. I haven't googled it, but, by the way I've been feeling lately it must have a lot to do with it. I'm not the only one that is feeling it. Every year at this time thousands of college students from up north come down here on what they call spring break. They try to get naked and get crazy and most of the time they are successful. So, when was the last time and place you went somewhere to get warm and to get naked or almost that way? Do you have a warm vacation planned for this spring or summer? Since I'm in the rambling talk mood, I want to tell you about my surf fishing trip last week. It was a glorious day as you wished it to be. I didn't catch a flounder, but I did catch some good tasting white trout and mackerel. Did you tell me or someone else that you were close to the ocean there, or at least in the southern part of Wales. Are you further north of Cardiff or Swansea? It's cold there now according to accu weather. I'm asking you some questions because I'm trying to insure a reply from you, because you are always so good at answering questions and replying to comments unlike many RUclipsrs out there. That alone is enough to make me as well as many others love you like we do, not to mention your perfect beauty and never ending talents. I love you and we love you even though some will not say it... I'm sure that like me, they would love doing everything for you... All of the things that you do not have time to do or want to do. And thank you for all that you do!
P.S. BigCarp was probably suggesting that you have the heart of a child... we will consider that to be a compliment, even though he didn't say anything about you being the most beautiful and smartest child on the internet or RUclips with a channel as well as being the sweetest.

Burt Eastwood wet wet wet here, for the next week at least, though the cherry blossoms have started and the daffodils are out, so I guess you could say spring is here, it's still cold and dark though... But this is Wales, and that's pretty much what we're famous for...rain.
No warm holidays booked as yet, though it's not a priority for us. We choose our destinations for the culture, sights, history and adventures, not the weather, though I'm not adverse to a bit of sunshine, as long as no one expects me to sunbathe 😂
Sounds like the fishing trip went well... It's a shame you've got chores to do, but they're always the most persistent tax on time (in my experience). 😉 Perhaps that's because there's never enough time in the day to do them. Haha.
      Enjoy the sun. x

It seems like it's always played on the hi-D whistle because of the emphasis on the upper register in this song, but I really like how you make it sound using the Low-D, maybe I'll try that?
You have some really nice Low-D whistles. Thanks for all the help you offer. You should cut an album of your playing of these traditional & folk songs on the whistles. Have you done that?

CutiePie if you come to Scotland and find someone to ask, and their surname is MacLean, it's pronounced mac-lane ;) Great video!

Kevin Smith 🤣 haha, oh dear. Looks like I couldn't be further from the correct pronunciation. Serves us right really, the Celtic languages are beautiful, but confusing. I can't pronounce half the words in Welsh 😂
I've not come across many languages where words are spelled phonetically, especially here in the UK...which is why I've always loved German - I've never found a word I can't say!

  • @burteastwood5436

Stephanie, You look extraordinarily beautiful in this video. What have you been doing to make yourself look so desirable to me or should I say what have I been doing to make me wish that I was so very close to you and not so far away. Maybe I haven't been doing anything... just breathing in all of this fresh spring air filled with the smell of so many blooming flowers and trees . It seems that almost everything is blooming now. And it's still cool at night here...48 here tonight and 76 in the day time. I'm sure it's not just the weather here that has me so influenced by your beauty and charm... You have always had that effect or affect on me. And this is not the first time that you and your beautiful music has brought tears to my eyes... Do you want to try and explain that to me ... Perhaps it's love or something like it? I'll just say it's love and leave it at that for now. I feel the same as you when it comes to the slow songs... I do feel emotionally exposed and self aware when playing some songs slowly. It's almost like singing isn't it. Is that one reason that you do not like to sing as much as others would like you to? Or do you feel that you are just not good enough. Or maybe a little of both? Anyway, this was such a beautiful and charming song, almost as beautiful and charming as you.
