  • 2 Weeks Update- All The Habits I Built To Get Fit and Lose Weight and The Slow Kick In

    Weight loss was never going to be easy. Specially if you are obese, never worked out, live a sedentary life and feel guilty for looking after yourself. In the past two weeks, I took some baby steps to lay the foundation of better and healthier habits. Here is what I did.
    - Estimated it all. Yes, did the math. Found out my BMR, body fat percentage, body measurements muscle mass, daily caloric requirement, fat free body weight as well as fat free mass index (FFMI), my BMI, body water percentage, protein percentage and so much more.
    - Started taking baby steps for a healthier life. Opted for boiled eggs instead of omelettes and quit my evening tea.
    - Started adding more protein to the diet (about 40 to 50 gms) and removed a bit of carbohydrates. Not too much though.
    - Have not eaten a single thing that comes packaged. Yes I did eat restaurant food and take out but packaged foods (biscuits, chips, sodas anything at all) is a BIG NO NO.
    - slowly started moving towards a caloric deficit. Also slowly introduced myself to exercise. Didn't go all out. Took it very slow and easy, acclimatizing my body to workouts and then slowly increasing the duration. I started at barely 10 minutes, now I can go on for 30 minutes (with little breaks of course)
    - as a result of this, the sugar content in my diet went low. which is obviously a good thing. I feel fuller and I have started improving the quality of food I eat. Trust me I am always full these days, which is a pretty funny feeling.
