If the horse starts dancing around all of a sudden which we’ve seen umpteenth times.. the old heifer with a hip operation,doggy painful knees & shaky legs won’t be able to get away with her life..

@@Kimberly-dn4mc he was 9 wks. old when he was brought to our house by my son..cat & i used to do birdwatching from my bedroom window as i have bird feeders in the garden so he can get to watch them.. i was staring into his eyes & he pounced on me & deep gash on my arm.. my mother used to say if you stare direct at them.. they could go for your throat.. i’d forgotten that .. even before it i never stroked him because i was bitten by a dog at age 9.. so fear of unpredictable animals has always been there

The elderly lady was wrong and thought she was entitled to stand inside the box. The Guard told her to get out of the box as he was told to do and expected to do. She had no business confronting him because he did so. I love to see the Guards enforce the rules which are made to keep everyone safe. This woman was wrong.
Perhaps each guard should add " How to sardonically lift one eyebrow and stare down self entitled , audacious , ill mannered upstarts " to their basic training.

It's about time to say ok follow the rules or go a way
Just a quick (or maybe not so quick) comment of the legality of the white box: Whitehall is a public right of way, but on a right of way, passing along it is the only right that people have; anything else is a tresspass, and you can be told to move on. It'd be a hard man who'd make you move on for stopping to talk to someone or looking in a shop window, but that's the reality.
The white box merely marks the area where the law will be enforced, otherwise it has no significance. You'll see people walking across it and that's fine, but if they stop they're tresspassing and the owner of the land over which the right of way passes (I assume it's the Whitehall estate) will move you on.
How many years have the mounted guards been in those spots? Why just now have signs and white lines become necessary?
Wow - I didn't see any of the stuff mentioned above. The most 'exciting' thing I saw was the blonde woman who seemed to be evaluating the horse pee stain on the pavement inside the box, as if deciding if she wanted to walk on it.

En dat allemaal voor de foto met de guard en zijn paard. Ik zou spuugzat worden van die toeristen de hele dag met hun fotografie. En ja ze willen niet dat die mensen te dichtbij komen uit veiligheid voor de guard en het paard. Het paard kan er onrustig van raken etcetera.... Die mensen moeten er maar mee leren om te gaan om afstand te houden voor hun fotografie. De foto die voor eeuwig verdwijnd in de fotoalbum in de kast en die misschien af en toe weer eens tevoorschijn komt. Bezopen lui.
