Just saw them in Edmonton on the weekend - his solo was phenomenal live. As a whole, the band brought a much harder edge than I was expecting... they crushed it and the other acts couldn't match what they brought to the table.
They are definitely on top of their game!!!!!
C C is a very underrated Guitarist also he looks really happy and healthy they all do they were definitely the best on this tour they seam so happy to be there x

Okay, it makes sense now. I couldn't figure out why any 80s band would dare tour with Def Leppard, since Leppard sound just as good as they did 30 years ago, but Poison sound pretty good too.

Great solo by CC and the whole band sounds absolutely awesome! Nice to see CC playing a little closer to the original recording than he has in the past. The moment that Rikki lost a stick and didn't miss a beat made me laugh. True professionals all around. Hope to catch them again one of these days. The last time I saw them live was on the "Flesh and Blood" tour, so yeah....I'm kinda old...haha. Fallen Angel is still my favorite Poison song ever.

I'm wondering the same thing. CC has had the same hairstyle or some variation of it for decades. Why would he change it after all these years?
Certainly great fretboard gymnastics, but decades late I'd say. This kind of free form shredding has been done to death and CC isn't even in the Top 100 when it comes to raw ability. His greatest strength is songwriting and melody. His riffs from Poison's best work are rock classics now, and his melodic (not fast) soloing was sublime in "Life Goes On" and a few others. Its great that he's healthy and showing off a bit to entertain some percentage of the crowd, but other pro guitarists won't be impressed, and half his audience is just there for "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and will probably take a pee break during this.
I'm not a pro guitar player and I wasn't impressed. I was thinking the same thing you said. Pretty basic stuff he was doing.

Poison is the only band on this tour that I would watch after seeing clips. The energy is good. But CC is too much! Overplays, sloppy, and just shred fest on every song. It takes away from the music.
Maybe you should stay home. Thats how he has always played live. Its not sloppy. Just stay home and listen to it
@@amykraus7523 CC is extremely sloppy! He always has been. Out of all the 80’s guitarist, he is one of the worst. They should have went on tour with the guy that filled in for him back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s when he was all cracked out.

@@amykraus7523 no. I am not a fanatic. I think the band sounds great on this tour. The band would benefit more if the solos fit the songs or had some type of feeling.
To me, if CC dialed it back in certain spots, it would be so much better. The dude can shred. No doubt about it. But I think that’s what separates the good from the greats. EVH knew when to shred and when to play to the song.
I give it to Bret Michaels though. His passion and love for the fans really is something special to see! He is genuine!
