Your love for your father is evident and your voice and your words and your eyes. your father put out great movies I'm sharing them with my 9-year-old son today. Especially the older ones. We watch true grit the other night, the new true grit from a few years ago couldn't even compare, it couldn't hold a candle to what your father did.
I love this man. But my father was my greatest love and I admire him for his strength and courage. John reminds me of my father...a gentle giant. I hope me and dad can visit John together when I pass to be with dad. People don't realize what they truly leave as a legacy to others until we think of their memories. I love you dad and I love you John. Sam..
John Wayne was a great actor. It's difficult to pick a favourite film but Rio Bravo, The Searchers and The Quiet Man immeadiately come to mind as films I never tire of watching. I think Marisa is 100% right; they are a fantatstic family doing a lot of good work, in a quiet but respectful way. I am sure he would be immensley proud of the work they are doing in his name.
I have been binge watching John Wayne's movies, and though I have always regarded him as a Westerns Hero, what comes shining through is his fine sense of comic timing! I know there are plenty of actors doing westerns, but for me it will always be the Duke and James Stewart! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

John Wayne was injured and suffered a broken leg while playing football in college. He was turned down for military service due to that so he and John ( Pappy ) Ford another great American produced patriotic movies and sold war Bonds. I wish people would research topics before they make stupid comments. This is my last comment. John Wayne is and always will be my hero !!!
It says a lot that all of John Wayne's children and grandchildren are so genuine, well mannered, down to earth people. They all stand out in front with such quiet respectful dignity in memory of their beloved father and grandfather.
A real American icon. Believed in the dreams and principles of our country. Today's actors and entertainers would learn so much by viewing these interviews of John Wayne and his family. They really don't understand what America is all about.
What a fantastic lady Marisa is in that interview. She is beautiful and intelligent and very proud of her Dad . I am a big Fan of the Duke and that is why I keep a collection of Memorabillia of him. It is great that her favourite movie is "The Quiet Man" and why not with a beautiful Co-Star in Maureen O'Hara.

Thank you Marisa for doing the interview, I love what your dad stood for and how his name still carries on today. What I wouldn't give to spend one day with your family to talk about you father. Your a beautiful woman. I hope to see or hear of your children, especially Duke years down the road in a western.
My best to John Waynes family. I loved to watch John Wayne movies. He was an amazing actor. He loved our Country. I loved watching war movies as well as cowboy movies. The world lost a true Hero at soon a time. Miss John Wayne.
I am glad to hear her favorite movie is The Quiet Man. That has always been my favorite too. I think that movie is the kind of ,man he really was. I would like to think so at least. Thanks Duke ever so much for an example of what a real man need be.
I hope somehow this is passed on to the Wayne Family, I was a child prisoner of war in WW 2 in Shanghai China, Born a British Subject became an American because of your Father, he was America to me, am proud I will die an American. Thank You all for being the good this "good man." left behind. My Respects.
+Rory Gibbons I hope you see this. I applaud your historic life journey. I wish you a long and prosperous life. I'm sure that you've honored both the USA and the Duke with your life. I hope to see you in heaven.
I have a picture of the Duke on my home office wall, I met him in Catalina island very briefly on his big boat when my friend and I came close to his boat in a dingy one evening just after dark. There was a party on board, we were invited on board, we were age 15 and we each eat a sandwich and had a root beer. He was very gracious and kind to us. We did not stay long and rowed away back to boat, good memory.
Why don't you SHUT up? Terrible actor? Really? Take your moron views and go watch something you might enjoy...LIke a Sean Penn or some other 'real' actor' you adore. Idiot.
I watch the same ones over and over and know most of the Duke's lines. We were on Balboa Island 4 years ago and heard some great stories about the Duke. He has always been my hero.
Duke Morrison was and is one of the greatest Men (and actors) to grace this U.S. To be of his Family is to carry with pride a legacy that is equal to all those before, and, without question, after his passing.
FUCK OFF Walter. Plenty of great actors didn't serve. Tell that to the troops in Vietnam, Korea and elsewhere. THEY loved him. You are a sad sack of shit.....Piss off.
