Mywithallmyart, I love your video! You are such a great teacher! The info you gave on the functions of the presser feet was awesome. I am a visual learner, so I appreciate how well you explain and show each step to operate this awesome sewing machine. You just got another subscriber, my dear. Thank you so much for posting this video. 👍
Aww! You are so sweet! Thank you so much and I an so excited that my little video was helpful!!! Thank you for subscribing! Hope you find more helpful info on my channel.
you had the buttonhole maker on backwards. there is a lever on the left of the machine, you have to pull down, in order to use that foot. :) Nice Machine! I love all the features!
Oops. I just wasn't paying attention and made a mistake. My older singer has the same attachment and I made a kazillion buttonholes on scrub caps during the pandemic. Thanks for the heads up!!! And thanks SOOO MUCH for watching!!!
I purchased this machine and was about to give it away and buy a new one that would be easier to thread… This is the very best tutorial I have seen on this machine and now I have hope again. Thank you, lady! I am now your fan and follower!!!
Watching the video right now thank you MyWithAllMyArt!!! I have this exact model and was searching crossing my fiingers that someone took the time to make a video like this :D Edit: I just found that convenient spacious side compartment and placed all what use to be a mystery set of attachments in them. lol its so nice to understand what the purpose for each one is, it makes this gigantic clutter of items seem a lot more manageable once I put the effort into memorizing the purpose each of these have within our handy dandy portable work of art/divinity.
I can't wait to order my singer sewing machine computerized. I got many machine. That the feed dogs broke. They are brothers computerized sewing machine. So I need heavy duty sewing machine to sew my guniea pigs Midwest cage liners. And quilting. Thank you showing how to work this sewing machine. Joann got it on sale now.
Yay! I got one just like yours in September 2020 and loving it so much. This is my upgrade from the Singer model which you got in the background. Enjoy your new machine.
The singer heavy duty 4423 I agree is, in fact, great. I got one for Christmas and I am loving it, accept for the fact that the vertical spool pin is too short for my thread spools.
Yes, I love mine. When my thread spools are too long, I have a little glass I put it in. And for my cone spools, I put them in a little dollar tree metal bucket.

M = MODE. The 3.5 when in straight stitch is center. You can adjust to the left or right if you are edging. For other stitches like the zigzag, it will adjust the width.
Just got mine and I have not a clue how to get started. Instruction manual is useless.. it’s more like a quick setup guide with pictures and no wording. Thank God for RUclips. I thought mine came used because the bobbin was already threaded and installed lol. Ty
@@mywithallmyart ty! I found it eventually and printed it out. If I spend $400 on something /anything it should come with a complete institution manual if ya ask me
You can do it! Be sure you get the instuction manual. And I am in the process of making a video about the stitches and how to set them. And tomorrow morning I release a new dt placemat video with a zipper!
Thank you for the tutorial. I’m really stumped though. I do quilting and I would love to use my Seam guide bar but I just can’t find where it goes I cannot find the opening where to put it. I have this exact sewing machine and I have the walking foot on at the moment. Could you direct me somehow to where exactly I put this bar? Thank you. Mary
That snap sound was NOT the machine. That was my foot slipping off of the foot control. I was sitting at an awkward angle to record. LOL! I love this sewing machine.
Thank you for the video! I want to start denim and leather upcycling projects, as well as some upholstery projects. Is this a good machine for that? I was looking at the Singer Heavy Duty 4452 prior to finding this one half price used on nextdoor. I'm really wanting to get it for the price. Is it as good of heavy duty/as durable as Singer 4452? I can't afford any of the expensive machines, I have to stay under $150. Thank you :)
They are comparable. Both heavy duty. The big difference is, the one I previewed in this video has electronic settings. The other one you are asking about is the one I used for years. It's setting are manual. It is a great machine.
Great tutorial! Just got one in November’22 and they’ve made the bobbin threader easier to use. It’s now flat with the foot plate right next to the bobbin. Question: My first Singer uses 15J bobbins. It’s really hard for me to see a difference. Do you know if those will work. I have a lot and hate to waste them.

hello i just got my machine 6800c and i need the gathering stitch.....where is it????? i see the buttons where the 2.5 is but that alone is not making a good gathering stitch....PLEASE can you help me? thank you
@@mywithallmyart That is a fantastic price for what you get with it! The walking foot, alone, is a huge extra! I love all the Extra Stitches and the Alphabet and numerals, too. My Brother has those, and I stitch the date of when I finish each of my quilts into one corner of them! That machine, in Canada, is on sale for $419.00, which is still a good price! Nice find, Nathalie!
Yes, I found out how. With the setting on M1 and set to straight stitch (NOT ZIGZAG). Right under the screen and to the right of the red M1 button there is a wavy line (that indicates stitch width. Stay with me. If you press the plus sign on that button it will move the needle to the right. There is an automatic adjustment for left alignment but this is how to move the needle to the right (a little bit or all the way to the right). I hope this helps!
hello very beautiful informative video but please kindly film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal how it's used to sew video please OK?please kindly reply back OK?thank you very much
The foot pedal is connected to the machine and laid on the floor where it is convenient for your foot. The more pressure your foot puts on the pedal, the faster the machine will go. I position my pedal where the shorter edge of the slant is closer to me. I hope this helps.
The foot control is NOT a presser foot !!! The vertical spool pin does NOT use spool caps. The red spool you put on the machine goes on the vertical spool pin. They way you mounted it, thread twists coming off which can cause tension problems and cause the thread to break. Always lower the presser foot when using the needle threader.
I love my machine and use it almost everyday. Small projects. Big projects. Light weight fabric and heavy weight projects. Note what the reviewers are complaining about. Is it really the machine or is it them?

Is this machine also sturdy enough to sew denim or canvas as they advertise some of the others?
I believe it is. In my newest video I stitched through 6 layers of pretty thick fabric. It handled it just fine.
