Thank you for the video. Good to hear your pressure foot pressure and thread tension settings. My tip is if you press and hold the trash can button for about 3 seconds, it will clear the whole sequence without multiple presses. All the best, Al.
Thank you, I am just learning this new machine. It’s been frustrating & great once U learn each new thing 🎉🎉! I been sewing since I was 7. On a singer treadle. It’s how i got hooked on sewing. I made lots of money thru the years sewing for others. Many Blessings, G
I just ordered this one. Need the lettering feature. I do have the 4452 for my heavy projects. Its strictly mechanical. I will let my students use the 4452 as it is super tough. This is for me. I am a quilter also but want a lot of these features to add to my studio to my collection of machines. I swear by Singer. Easy to service. I wanted this screen. I recommend the 4452 also for new sewers. Wish I would have had these over 55 years ago . Thanks for sharing the lettering feature.
This machine is finally available here; it is the 6805C, I've been waiting at least a year for it to be available. I like it very much, I don't think I'll be using the alphabet but I like the mirroring of the decorative stiches and a great feature is the thread cutter. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you for your videos. I'm trying to decide between the Singer 6800C and the Singer 4452. Strange thing is, I can tear down and rebuild car and motorcycle engines, but am totally perplexed by the internal workings of a sewing machine. I learn much from your experience.
For someone 'new' to sewing, you know that machine very well. Thanks for sharing. Wish we had this model in UK. Tips: Generous people like you have taught me all I know - I've been sewing for 15 years plus now, love it! Its relaxing and therapeutic. Look forward to seeing more from your channel.
Thank you for the video! I want to start denim and leather upcycling projects, as well as some upholstery projects. Is this a good machine for that? I was looking at the Singer Heavy Duty 4452 prior to finding this one half price used on nextdoor. I'm really wanting to get it for the price. Is it as good of heavy duty/as durable as Singer 4452? I can't afford any of the expensive machines, I have to stay under $150. Thank you :)
Thanks for this video. Just looking for some reviews about this machine and planning to buy this week if this one or Singer HD6380. But I like Singer HD6800 more, because of the LCD screen. Thanks!
How can i correct the mirror effect? Machine is 6805c and when i try to sew by words they not seem correct way. How can i fix this and do the right way? Thanks for your help❤
I appreciate so much your quick response to my last question regarding the alphabet stitches so I'm reaching out to you once again with another problem. I've had my 6800C since 10/01. It had to be returned due to a problem they couldn't fix. I bought it through JoAnn Fabrics and it was shipped to me so I returned it there. The store gave me a new one. Within a week it was not working correctly. I took it back and they once again traded it for a new one. Same thing happened. The thread cutter grabbed the fabric and wouldn't let go, and the thread tension got so tight even on #1 tension it was too tight. The store told me to take it to a repair person who told me not to buy a Singer again and that I should return it to the store once again. So, have you had any problem with your 6800C?? I can't imagine what is happening with the ones I have tried so far.
Peggy, I have a bunch of thoughts on this. Looking at the machine which thread cutter. Also regarding the tension, could it have gotten wrapped around the tenson disks twice, or the take-up lever.
if you mean the numbers for the letters he is looking at the retractable card on the bottom right of the sewingmachine. If you have a different machine it might be different numbers.
I am trying to sew a name onto a very soft french fiber baby blanket, I need help. my thread keeps tangling under the presser foot and plate, like my tension is wrong. also I don't know what setting to set presser foot pressure at. maybe I just need to get some backing that melts away when you wash it for added support and keeping the fibers out of the feed dogs? anyone done super soft french fiber?
Thanks for the video. I did buy the 6800c especially for the letters but it’s been sitting off for a month while I had Covid and suddenly it won’t make any decorative stitches, nothing but straight stitch. It makes a weird zigzag for everything. Could it have gotten a surge like our fridge and modem did, acted weird at the same time? Any help would be appreciated since there is no help on the Singer site where I bought it.
Good day sir thank you so much for this video I had one of these given to me as a gift for my birthday and it works beautiful all except for the alphabet it just makes it all jumbled up and terrible I’ve tried everything interfacing and I’m gonna go home tonight and possibly try changing the foot to foot a but any thoughts on this
Is it bird nesting on bottom? check top tension wheel. If its kinda bunching on top and not good letters put speed to low. Thank you please let me know if there something else going on.
@@Xcallaburr it does seem better but still some issues. I tightened the presser foot tension a bit and also Made sure the material was not on the buyers so it wouldn’t stretch and things did get a lot better is there anyway I could send you a photo and show you what I ended up with
Stitch 058 is the underline stitch. It uses continuous stitching to put a better space enter stop move project and enter new word. Hope this help I will try to make new video today and explain more. Thank you for watching
I have a question about machines. I have a singer and I am thinking of getting this one. A problem I have is the threat keeps getting caught in the machine where the bobbin goes and is always stuck. I have tried the tension and everything I do not know what else to do. Please help
So...none of my decorative stitches are stitching as pictured but I am using the feeder foot...may this be the issue? I just now noticed the foot is pictured on the screen. Oh if they would not be green and send manuals as in the 'old' days. haha
Yes the foot makes the difference, also speed is a big factor, and last but not least tension. Thank you for your comment, let me know if you have any other questions. Keep Crafting
I just got this machine, for the decorative stitches, but am having hard time with tension. I am using cotton fabric (edc hanks so a couple layers of basic cotton). What setting would you suggest for both tension and presser foot? Thanks.
Is the problem on the top of your project or the bottom? Is there a bird nest? The tension I used 3 or 4, the presser foot is on 2. It could also bobbin tension too. Possibly an old needle. I hope this helps, please let me know. Thank you for your comment and keep crafting.
@@Xcallaburr The fabric is puckering like thread is too tight. There is no birdsnesting or anything. Certain decorative stitches (the more solid ones like the solid heart) pucker the fabric. I was told to move my tension from 4 to 6 to loosen it, but didn't help at all. I just put a brand new needle in, and machine is only a few weeks old. Thanks!
@@Xcallaburr Yes, and it worked perfect. I was just told opposite (if too tight go to higher number) which obviously only made it worse. Now for a lot of seam ripping on all the hanks that have puckering. Ugh, hate that part.. Thanks for you help!
I cannot get the 6800 C machine to do a simple zig zag stitch, number 5. It does the zigzag on the bottom with the bobbin thread. However, the top thread goes straight or squiggly. I have threaded it carefully a few times. Still cannot figure out why it's doing this. Do you know? Thanks
how do you by backwards, are the letters coming out it mirror? If so check and make sure mirror mode is off. Please let me know what you find. Thank you for watching and for your question.
The fabric fed towards me versus away from me when it sewed. You could not read the letters as it looked like a jumbled mess. I ended up exchanging the machine, and my new one works like a dream.
Sorry hear you such an issue, I have not heard of a machine doing that before. Glade to hear you were able to take it back. Thank you for letting me know what happened.

utilice el botón M para acceder al menú alfabético. Luego presione el botón Guardar e ingrese el número de letras que desea.
