    Incredible foresight to imagine the future and take such a BIG bet on new technology.
    It's now 2021 and these machines are working 24 hours a day and still can't keep up with demand.
    My new AMD Ryzen 5800X CPU at 7nm was born in one of these machines.

      Actually not. Ryzen 5800X is manufactured on TSMC's N7p process, wich exclusivley uses Deep Ultra violet Lithography. It's only since N7+ (yeah, there's a difference) that TSMC is using extreme ultra violet lithography.

      That CPU was made using DUV, not EUV.

    well.. it's 2020 and we are just starting to see the first products manufactured using euv...

      Fabs used some EUV processes from 2012. Fully chips only recent.

      @@halirage1605 Such an ignorant comment. At the low end you can find the cheapest of cheap smart phones. This category never existed when the iPhone first came out.

    The only Carl Zeiss product i know is Nokia phone cameras used on windows phone and now on Android like Nokia 9.

    If the problem of new technology is to find a lense that is very accurate in single atom, then obviously this is become the open problem for every body. I mean, we all have the same starting point to find such technology in the future and there is no company in the world has "monopoly" for such technology?
