Another Vectra A, yes! I love my 1.7TD version 😬 I had a 1.8 petrol one earlier this year with 226,000 miles on it and the engine still ran like a Swiss watch.

So happy to find your channel since you do an amazing job at first, and afterwards that this is the second Vectra that you are handling I have a blue CD 1.8i 1991 model and I love it since the day I was born Looking forward to seeing more Vectra A in your videos ❤
glad to see one of my fav cars in the channel. This vectra came to my country (Brasil) only in 1994, replacing the GM Monza, and made absolut sucess Here, the last generation of Vectra went until 2012
I have a soft spot for these, having owned 2 dark blue hatchbacks (build in 1990 and 1991). The most recent one I had till 2013, a 1.8s carburator model. It drove soo fine, good timeless looks. Heavy steering though without servo.
Great Video my friend 👍 opel from the 90s they are all rusty but they still keep going amazing video thank you for your videos I love them 🔥 Greetings from Bulgaria
Memories: 18 years ago i had also a opel vectra... still driving opel.. actual a grandland x - best car i ever driven. My wife is getting a insignia b grand sport next week 😁 both diesel and much more affordable since petrol prices rising in germany
I would like to invite you to The Nethelands. Our petrol prices a currently above 2 euro/L. Diesel is above 1,80 euro/L. Unfornturenly is this the last decade that we can drive cars powered by combustion engine in Western Europe.
Grandland X has to be the worst "car" I've ever driven. My wife had one as a courtesy car a couple of years ago, and it's the only thing I have driven that actually made me dislike driving! Horrible suspension on it, it bounced all over the road. It nosedived with even light brake application. The steering lacked any feel whatsoever, it was like the steering wheel wasn't connected to the wheels. It wasn't even very practical, the boot lip is very high off the ground which is bad for heavy loads, and the boot wasn't that big anyway.
Personally I love the old Vauxhalls/Opels from the 80's to the early 2000's. They're unpretentious, honest, work horses. No fancy gadgets or complicated electronics. Simple, affordable transport for the masses. It's only now, with the end of internal combustion engines on the horizon, that I'm beginning to really appreciate them.
Known as the Cavalier in the UK. I remember when these used to dominate the roads and driveways up and down the country along with the Ford Sierra. And then the Vectra B came along as a rival to the Mondeo.
That's a Vauxhall Cavalier. I had the Turbo 4x4. Wish I still had it. What really surprises me is that the cars we had back in the day are so much smaller than you remember them. This was a big car in its day. I seen a MK1 Granada parked up down town a few years back and a modern Ford focus was next to it and was dwarfing the granada. The Cavvy was a great car especially with the red top engine ones but they were never really a looker. Thanks for sharing.
You really should have kept it... The prices for a good, clean and running 4x4 turbo went through the roof and soon they will be collector's cars. 90's Cavaliers (Vectras) are a rare sight on Bulgarian roads these days. Having the 4x4 turbo means you already won at life and now you're doing all of the side quests 😂
I've grew up wirh this time period cars. The had no death.I remember they were so easy to repair. My father didn't even bother to go to a mechanic to fix something.I'm sure we will miss this type of cars. With new law reglementations about polution and going all full electric, this cars will slowly dissapear from streets. And for those who think the new cars are so nice and confy etc, dudes this were the real deals in car history!
One of my best friends has three of these here in England. The oldest he bought back in 1994 brand new and still has it. Really cheap to maintain and run and drives beautifully, and a very practical car. We used to cram a lot of our music gear in and go gigging with it. He currently drives a 1.8L petrol on an M plate (1995). He also has a nice old Jaguar Sovereign V6 circa 1992 I think, which he took as payment for doing a job on another car.
i had one of those :( my heart was crying watching this i hope you saved her and didnt threw it on scrabyard like i did... im so regreting it right after so many years...and mine didnt even had any rust on it :( :(
I almost died as a kid in that car. Its got heavy back and when you lose control of car its imposible to stabilize it. We turned on the roof and almost died.
I am surprised this style of car was called a Vectra, because my Dad had a similar car for his work and it was still just a Cavalier (Vauxhall). He was pleased to get rid of it, because the seats were awful, very uncomfortable but typically Vauxhall seats. Polar opposite of Peugeot seats, his previous company car having been a 405 GLD.
It is very wonderful seeing these cars revived. Are there any Renaults (like 21, 25, or similar), Citroens (for example BX), Peugeots (505, 605 and so on), Alfas (33 for example), Lancias revivable? Italian and French are very rarely revivable it seems, but Peugeot 505 for example is very reliable car but it does like to rust.
@@daffyfromuk I know that Beta and Alfasud were the worst in rusting. I doubt it anyone drives them. But at least in 80s both AR and Lancia were better.
