It is required to listen to this album in its entirety in one sitting. Not a concept album but every song is a banger. Not a bad song on the album. Boston basically wrote their greatest hits album the first try. Not that their other albums are bad they aren't as monumental as this album.
1976 was THE BEST YEAR for rock albums. For Christmas I got this BOSTON album and... RUSH - All the World's A Stage KANSAS - Leftoverature REO Speedwagon - REO EAGLES - Hotel California LED ZEPPELIN - Song Remains the Same STYX - Crystal Ball QUEEN - A Night at the Opera (1975) PINK FLOYD - Dark Side of the Moon YES - The Yes Album I never left my bedroom 😁 Thank you Mom and Dad!!
Saw Rush in LA Coliseum in the late 1988?. Saw Kansas, REO, Joan Jett, Survivor in the Liberty Bowl Memphis in 83 . Also saw Journey in 81 and 83 in Memphis
This song is great. Love the beat, harmonies, instrumentals, everything. This song really gets the heart pumping and the body moving!!!!!! Great reaction. Billy Boy
LOVE MY DAYS THEN... THATS WHEN WE HAD REAL EXPRESSION IN MUSIC... NO MISTAKE WHEN THEY SAID ENJOY IT NOW BECAUSE MAY NOT HAVE IT AGAIN.. SEE YOU JUST SAID AS I WAS... YOUR A REACTOR ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
One day in 1976, my brother Greg put headphones on nine-year-old me and put this album on. Every song is incredible and has become a classic. RIP brother, I love you.😢🤘🏻
Love that comment from Jason Turner.. songs named after states, and places, lol...how true that is!! You can't go wrong with them😅. Boston definitely was a staple for us, even in my late teens, early 20's with these bands. Thank you, Saeed!! 1976, I was 24 almost 5 decades ago..where'd the time go? Thanks for your fantastic input. You would be surprised how many people have said they were born in the wrong decade. To be truthful, all decades have their share of good music..it just depends on your individual taste. But the 60's, 70's, and some 80's will never be replaced ❤😊
Their entire debut album is volume one of their greatest hits, to which I've warn out countless air guitars. 😂😂🤘🤘 Probably my favorite deeper cut on this album is Hitch A Ride, the guitar solo is transcendent. Great reaction my friend, cheers!
Tom Scholz was working as an engineer for Polariod while working on his music that went into the first Boston album, so this is auto-biographical. He ended up not climbing the corporate latter, and took his time as an artist producing music(and inventing things for music and his own business). He went back to school and got an MBA, and he's managed the business of the band as well. So it's not that he did not have ambition, but wanted to do it on his own time and on his own terms. Every song on this album is a hit, but after doing "Foreplay/Long Time", check out "Hitch A RIde". My favorite Boston song is "A Man I'll Never Be" off their second album "Don't Look Back". For more classic rock: The Who("Love Reign O'er Me"), Styx("Come Sail Away" NOT Official video but studio or live), Foreigner("Long, Long Way From Home"), Heart("Crazy On You" live 1978), Bad Company("Bad Company").
🎼🎼🚦🚦🚦🚦🎼🎼 .. so , so , so good Saeed. This song was played often on the ROCK stations when I was a kid. We all thought we could sing along and sound good .... but ... his voice is so superior, I have to laugh at myself. The music in this song is just 🔥 HOT .... the acoustic guitar , the electric guitar , the strong bass , and of course the massive drums. Excellent all the way through . Thank you. 🎼🎼🚦🚦🚦🚦🎼🎼
This album is the backdrop of my teen years and it’s the only album on which I love every single song. Love your thoughtful insight, as always. I found you as a Pentaholic.
I have only listened to two songs by Boston now, but definitely will check out more. Enjoyed both of them. This song really resonated with me. Thanks so much for watching!
This album was not recorded in a “regular studio” it was recorded in MIT graduate Tom Scholz basement in a studio he built at least most of the album; that’s not unheard of today but in the early 70’s with no computers everyone was going to the big studios to record. This album comes out and blows everyone’s mind perhaps the best debut album ever and from an sound standpoint the best album ever sonically speaking in my humble opinion
You are exactly correct…… everything is about priorities…….. and being a parent right now is brutal. I try to hit my kids with Journey, Boston, etc….. just to get them off of the sex over a baseline. It’s difficult……
Ok Saeed now that you've heard the original, how about a cover of it that in my opinion is even better than the original? The reason I say that is because this cover group is made up of 9 - 16 yr old super talented kids, including 14 yr old Japanese drummer extraordinaire Yoyoka but trust me, they're all great. ruclips.net/video/Z431gmb9oMA/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I love the lyrics " now you're climbing to the top of the company ladder, hope it doesn't take too long. Can't you see a day when it wouldn't matter, come a day when you'll be gone." That line sums up American culture in my opinion. Great lyrics great song. But what to me that's ironic and sad is that Brad delp committed suicide after Boston disbanded and his fall out with tom schultz after achieving such success. It still blows my mind.

👍can’t go wrong with those 70’s bands named after places….Boston, Kansas, Chicago…lol
Good advice 😅
You said it!!
Imagine being a teenager and THIS is how great radio music was! Top ten, played hourly. We were so blessed, musically.
Awesome!

Your air guitar budget must be insane 😅
Definitely exploring more of their music. Have a great day!
@@SaeedReacts. Yeah but at least my priorities are in the right place. By the way, I’m starting a go fund me to raise money for more. 😂

This song actually gave me the nerve to give up my rat race job to start working with disabled adults. Thanks Boston!
That is amazing!

The guitar player is an electrical engineer that went to MIT ( prestigious university here )
Wow! Even over here we know MIT. Or at least i do.
@@SaeedReacts. Invented some cool guitar effects and stuff.
Your covering my childhood . Lol
We have too keep the inner child alive! 😃

Thanks for sharing this one.
Keep going on their first album. Best debut album ever. They fell off after that a bit.
Definitely will check out more from this album.
