Dartigan: Oh look they didn't change the name order
Rapunzel: This is Sora, Goofy, & Donald.
Dartigan: **SIN**
Bastzo55 My thoughts exactly.
He explained this during his KHII video. It's more about the humor, & the fact that saying their names out of order proves how easy it is to actually include even a smidgen of variety, as opposed to every other time.
Sin on him for sinning both name orders maybe the name order in tangled was a shout out from square producers who are fans of the channel

That sounds... Strange.
@@keenanjohnson1296 I meant it to. (It's this meme I was referencing, in case you somehow haven't seen it anywhere before: knowyourmeme.com/memes/slaps-roof-of-car )
@@Syrahl696 i know the meme, but the boys in boys part is what sounds strange.
Ven and Roxas being bad boys is not exactly correct.
"This bad boy can fit so many boys in it." Drop the bad part and you're fine. :D
@@lucasmillerthelewderofloli9327 Lucas Miller But then you also have to consider that Xion is not a boy either (unless you happen to be Xigbar or something), which just leaves "people" or "hearts". People doesn't sound nearly as good, and while Hearts might have been better, at that point I'm no longer referencing the wierdness that is "how many people can you fit inside a teenage boy?" from the video.
For that matter, Sora isn't really a bad boy either. If I wanted to be technically correct, then I would have had to mangle the meme template beyond recognition. Though I suppose "*Slaps roof of Sora* this teenage boy can fit so many people in it" would have been better, since it directly twists the words in the video. And now I've edited it to say that, so none of us look like we're makimg any sense down here.
What, no sin for Larxene creating an entire ice labyrinth when her power is LIGHTNING??
She said ice isn't her thing.
You have to let the man breath, he is literally surfing on a tsunami of cringe. To play the ff13 trilogy, then this... damn, what a warrior

@@superlombax1561 And you are right, I assumed he played these games in a rapid succession, 1 year tops. But nope, he had 2 years to rest his mind. That's fair... I can't imagine any sane person playing the kingdom hearts series and the FFXIII trilogy in a short period of time. I was tired after only hearing these videos, didn't even watched the whole thing (a pseudo podcast so to speak)... imagine play the whole thing and write about their flaws... thats an herculean task, not even joking

It is a pretty apt description of the series's dialogue in general, lol.
Winnie the Pooh being shoehorned into this game unnecessarily is very egregious when you realize he and his cast made it into the game half assed but none of the Final Fantasy characters did.
At least that one dude mentions my boy Siefer. I want FF8 remastered. I'll see myself out.
That is because Japan absolutely loves Winnie the Pooh.

Just A Pancakr pointed that out, too.
“Toy Story is supposed to take place somewhere around the mid nineties, and there is no way Verum Rex is a nineties video game”
Tbf the Toy Story movies themselves aren’t consistent with that either. The opening of Toy Story 2 (which is set before KH3) had Rex playing a fully 3D Buzz Lightyear video game with a very retro-looking game controller.
Played that game on ps1 so it kinda makes sense
Fake 3D has existed since before Pong. More believable fake 3D has existed since the early 90s. The game Rex played, though, would've been too much for a PS1. Early real 3D games looked awful. Wasn't until the mid to late 00s before polycounts got high enough (and 3D animators and artists talented enough) for 3D games to take on a more modern quality. So, while 3D graphics DID exist at the time the opening of TS2 takes place, it would've been more like the original FF7, on painted backgrounds with 15-tris 3D models.
This is between 2 - 3 like ten years in between that time frame
Sin 59 “these kids are not creeped out by the idea that some old man knew enough about them to create AI versions of them.” Thank you!!! Someone else sees how that’s creepy too! I’ve been thinking that all the way back at KH2!
I like to think that either Ansem has Light Yagami levels of insight and the similarities are a coincidence in-universe, and/or the devs got lazy when deciding how their real selves would be and just transplanted Roxas' friends.
Well there should be a sin about heyner saying that roxas's name sounded familiar when it should be pence the one to say it given the interaction between pence with roxas and axel on that mision were the objective was to locate xion

+1,000 sins for teasing Bahamut but not putting him in the game as a secret boss. One for each form of Bahamut we could have fought!
Bahamut Hearts: Chain of Memories?
Honestly they even had the model but it just there for display
Strangely enough there was going to be a Bahamut Summon in KH1, you can put it in via cheat codes but using it just crashes the game. Bahamut would’ve made up for no Sephiroth and as you lower his health he does the constant transformations like Frieza.

I find it funny that the first level Sora goes to when he is weaker than he was in the previous games is Hercules' world where he fights literal titans and gods. One of the easiest worlds for a Sora who's lost his power is a world with gods and later worlds with talking toys or teenaged super heroes is more difficult. I feel like Hercules' world should have been later in the game because it makes it seem like the gods are chumps compared to plastic toys.
Yeah, but then again, you go to Olympus Coliseum early in the other games as well. Even if you don't necessarily fight the gods until later on in said games.
@@superlombax1561 Yeah, you fight heartless in progressively harder tournaments so that makes sense. You're getting stronger fighting enemies you're already acoustomed at fighting. Meanwhile a very weak Sora in 3 is fighting Titans. Doesn't at all contradict what I said.
15:51 I hated this scene so much, not because of what Goofy was saying or anything, but the fact that Ansem and Xemnas, the biggest threats Sora had faced in previous games, are just standing there listening, hell Sora even turns his back on them to listen to goofy cheerfully talking, this felt so unbelieveably weird to me since they were such a force that once interacted with, you knew shit was about to get real...and now they're just there to have a chat
Missed opportunity to have some interesting dialouge amongst the Xehanorts in general. I would have been interested in seeing Xehanort talk to himself amongst his other selves having pieces of him in them. Perhaps gaining different perspectives or being totally in sync at times without saying anything
Thats my issue with the cutscenes; even when There’s a lotta enemies, they still talk for a good minute.
Sometimes the cutscenes have really good animation
Other times, characters be like
- *Let me turn around so I can face you and do my "explaining" animation*
- *Oh the camera is focusing on other characters, guess I'll just stand idle in the background*
Did you expect Ansem and Xemnas to attack Sora? Why would they do that? They want Sora to achieve his goal and save his friends so there will be 7 lights to fight the 13 darknesses. Why would they want to harm Sora before he achieves his goal? Like honestly it's like you KH3 haters don't pay attention.

Sin at 33:53 : Sully easily restrains Vanitas, who was completely unable to overpower him and escape. Meaning Sully is stronger than Sora, Ventus, and Aqua since they needed to work together to defeat him.
Expand your thinking a little bit: Vanitas is, in canon, shown to have at least 4 ways of escaping Sullys grab, implying Sully could even grab him in the first place since he has ALSO been shown to be able to become intangible, walk through shadows and walls, open portals, fade into darkness (not through doors to darkness, i mean literally sink into the shadow) and instantly teleport.
Dont remind me!. the character who teleports every five seconds wasnt able to escape?
I have a theory as to why

I definitely understand why people say KH1’s opening song was the best, but honestly I feel like KH2’s was just as good. Especially that one part where the base drops while they run up the spiral staircase, just as fantastic as the first song to me.
They fit different thematic purposes. Simple and Clean feels more upbeat fast paced and well... simple. It represents the beginning of an adventure and KH1 very well.
Sanctuary is slow, somber, intimidating and serious. It's made to represent how KH2 starts at a low point in the story, Sora had been lost, Rikus and Mickeys fate after CoM is unknown, the enemy in the organization a clear and mysterious presence that seems much more complex than ansem. It has undertones of mystery, representing that you spend a majority of KH2 in dissaray.
KH3 has two theme songs, but I personally find "Don't think twice" to match the theme of KH3 better than "face my fears" which was a bit too fast paced and on the nose for me. Don't think twice might represent Soras feelings in regards to the responsibility thrust on him, and the inevitable sacrifice he makes in order to save his friends. In a way it's representative of his character as a whole, a character that prioritizes the safety of those he cares about over himself, follows his heart, and doesn't hesitate. I also think the melodic ballad mixed with the piano really individualizes this song from its predecessors. I dont think the game truly lived up to these concepts but I greatly appreciate the theme.

Too much Disney, not enough final fantasy
To be honest Disney always had the higher ratio. Names of spells and things from FF as your abilities and powers don't really count as FF to me.....well it does up to a point. Then it's just magic in any RPG
I mean there were so many KH OCs in this game, the Square presence was more than satisfied.
Besides the fact that they turned Sora into Wakka from FFX, who whines about everything after the first quarter of the game and grows excruciatingly worse by the cut scene in that game.

Phil doesn't speak because his Japanese voice actor died (who also voice Phil for the Japanese dub of the movie). It's common practice in Japan to not recast roles for actors who pass away.
... But this is the English Dub?
I'm gonna assume it's because he died while the game was in development.
@ThiefRikku0306 There is quite a difference. Phil here would have got a very minor role. Goku, being the main character, will have to be recast (probably Toei would give the series a break of a week like it happened when Bulma VA died)
Averax well that’s dumb, I want a voice!
They gave Xehanort a new voice.
- I realize that can be many characters at this point, but you know which one I mean.
5:58 Phil doesn't have a voice actor cause his voice actor died and they didn't recast him out of respect
Xehanort's voice actor died too. But fuck him, he wasn't Japanese xD.
@@RuberDildo More like try to mute the litteral main antagonist of the series up to this point...
@@Isarrot That would have left more time for Kairi to actually shine. And made Xehanort a better villain at the very end.
The Japanese voice actor passed and they respectfully chose not to replace him.
Xehanort's Japanese voice actor also passed (he was also the voice of Japanese Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid) but they knew they had to replace him being the main antagonist so they did what they considered respectful and used his son who was also a voice actor (he voiced Solid Snake in metal head solid!)
@ThiefRikku0306 if you haven't realized by now that Japan has the final say/outcome when it comes to Japanese based games before the rest of the world by now then I don't know what to tell you
I have to disagree on only 1 sin, the one where Ansem meets the other ansem. The girl he is talking about is not Xion, but the musterious girl he was experimenting back on Radiant garden when he was in Terra body ( the same that Lea and Isa are looking for ), a thing you can know only trough battlegates report.
But after that, it's still a sin for sequel baiting/introducing a plot point out of nowhere
You are right, and also, the third heart inside of Sora that was mentioned, it wasnt Xion s, she was the second heart. The one that has been inside of Sora "even longer" is Ventus
I think sometime before that, he didn't realize there are 7 lights and 7 princesses of light and somewhat conflated the two.
@@ayhalagala7467 no, the 3 hearts inside sora are

One correction, the Kingdom Heart's Manga is not canon to the video game series. The manga is based off the games, but is not connected to the overall plot of the games. It is it's own separate story.
London Jackson Yeah the Days Manga is amazing. It’s probably the best in my opinion
days is also one of the better storys gamewise funnily enough
@@londonjackson8986 having better writing than KH isn't exactly an accomplishment.
London Jackson And even then, KH1 was still a very simple story. Yeah, I know that that’s what you were getting at with better story, but still.
I'm surprised you didn't remove sins for Andy's room, Woody burning Young Xehanort, or Sully throwing Vanitas within doors. The plot's so convoluted and the organization is so pretentious that I figured you too would have felt the organization deserved to be humiliated and dumped on by the cartoony and simple, but childlike deepness of those guys.
I laugh every time I see Sully pick up and throw Vanitus into a door and then just repeats it two more times. I wasn't a big fan of Toy Story. But the movies grew on me. And watching Woody stand up to Young Xehanort for Buzz was an awesome scene.
The power hierarchy in this series is one of the things i hate about it the most - I pretty much have to wait and see who the writers decide will win the fight, I have no way of guessing
@@-JaggedGrace- well what I've learned is the more cartoony and childish you are, the stronger you are, but the more serious you are the weaker you'll be (As frustrating as that sounds)
Cause honestly the most imagination, creativity and bonding comes from child-like cartooniness and physics breaking motions and voice acting to match it's why Mickey, Donald, and Goofy aren't picked on that much and why the Disney/Pixar Worlds are Nostalgic enough to get people into the series.
@@TheKpa11 I think you might be right :/
Aqua, Terra and Ventus should have learned the power of friendship instead of studying the intricacies of combat and magic I guess
That's not good.
Goofy most likely heard that girl screaming while Sora & Hercules didn’t because dogs have better hearing than humans and demigods
Then why make the screaming audible to us? It would be better for no screaming, then Guffy hears it, tells the other to listen and THEN have us hear it. Makes much more sense.
Lucas Miller
Because “Guffy’s” hearing is just that good
Plus Disney in general will make slight references to Mickey, Donald & Goofy being animals but draw a lot of attention to it. So this is in line with their business practices
@@Sjono "Guffy", my bad.
But again, if they want to reference his good hearing then they shouldn't make the scream audible at first.
you do know that goofy is a cow? Disney confirms this on Twitter.
Lucas Miller
Why go through the effort when it accomplishes the same result? It’s not like Goofy’s hearing plays a big role in the plot, it’s just small reference to his species
“Wait a minute, Disney doesn’t own the rights to Blade Runner.”
Disney: “You underestimate my power.”
30:18 Don't forget Halloween town. This is not the first time they transformed into creepy costumes for the sake of blending in. They went there twice.
The lack of creativity and wasted potential in the Frozen world was disappointing. Idk why Disney had a leash the tugging the hardest on that movie. Seriously Sora barely interacted with anybody in Arendelle, Elsa's ice palace nor the Arendelle Kingdom were explorable, and heck even in the ending cutscene nobody acknowledged Sora, Donald, and Goofy were there. No "Thank you" dialogue
Yeah, the whole Ice Labyrinth thing should have just been cut. It made Larxene somehow have godlike powers and didn't contribute anything to the plot. I would have loved having Anna and/or Elsa as party members. Or at least have Elsa be either a boss battle or present in one battle. Also, fuck the whole Olaf segment.
Ahh that's where your wrong. You did explore Elsas palace. Luxine has lightning magic. Not ice. The whole script for frozen was more then likely rewrote thanks to disneys fear of ruining their top movie. Game theory did a theory on this. I highly recommend watching it.
@@jarodweber1959 Are you saying you could explore the Ice Palace in KHIII in the original draft? Because you sure as hell couldn't in the game -- which was weird, since you can clearly see on the map that the Ice Palace is marked on there.

@@aconstantheadache9038 Perhaps Sora didn't realize what it is until this game explained t3h shit to him, included Baymax give him a little bit of how it -worked- connected.
One little criticism:
The reason they hide Vanitas' face is simply because sora never met vanitas. This is actually one of the few plots that remember the villain still wears a mask after he's been uncovered because theres no reason they wouldnt keep wearing the mask
I think in the BBS Ultima (or something like that), they explain why.
I figured it was just cause the mask looked cool. I think it looks cool (Also funny if anyone got the idea to photoshop emoji faces) I'm more wondering why they bothered giving him a black coat. In the trailers I thought it was actually sagging off of him, but I guess I was looking at it wrong. It's a shame cause I kind of liked how it sagged, but then again I still saw how superfluous it was.
There's no need for the helmet. Especially since them looking alike is never explained anyway.
LucianLegacy it is explained. Time is really complicated in Kingdom Hearts, but essentially, when Ventus had his heart split by Xehanort, the piece that split off ended up being the same as the piece that was needed to make him whole, or in other words, he looks like Sora because Sora filled the exact same place in Ventus' heart. Think of it like having a puzzle that is missing a piece, the only way for the puzzle to be completed is if the replacement piece is the same as the one that was lost.
This normally would make no sense, but clearly time works differently in Kingdom Hearts, as the past is shaped by the future (like the master of masters) as well as the future being shaped by the past, almost as if time is just a barrier and everything exists at the same time- perhaps this is one of the reasons why the barriers between worlds exist as they do and why Mickey can exist in multiple different forms from throughout time in the same game (Country of Musketeers, and Symphony of Sorcery are what immediately come to mind) and still not have memories between any of the events.
wait, but sora says he recognizes him from THOND. and Vanitues didn't have the helmet on there. so

Actually Hayner, Pence, and Olette did meet Roxas. When he was still in the Organization, there was a Vacation Day. He went to Twilight Town, and played Grandstander with them. This is one of the many things the 358/2 HD Remaster leaves out....
I don't think Roxas actually mentions his name. The sin still stands - how can a name you've never heard before sound familiar? And this is before Goofy shows the picture of the Twilight Town gang with Roxas, meaning Hayner would have had nothing to reasonably tie the name "Roxas" with the boy they met a year ago.
@@StarMiners0416 Even before they played Granstander, Pence helped Roxas and Axel find Xion when she ran away from the Organization. He heard Axel call Roxas by name. But in the end, Nomura himself said he forgot Roxas met them. They're bound to be discrepancies in the game.

Okay, here's a sin that is actually, factually incorrect. Sora, Riku, and the others are not the New Seven Hearts. Kairi is the only one of the main cast that is. Sora and the others are the seven GUARDIANS of Light.
didn't htey say that kairi isn't among the seven hearts any more, but instead just a plain old guardian of light too?
@@loco1731 They said she was one of the New Seven Hearts. They said she was the only one who didn't give up her power or whatever
they said that they gave their light to other people and only kairi didnt.that is honestly bs since the princesses have no "special light" or something like that.they just have flat out no darkness like ventus, otherwise they are normal people.the only way this makes sence is if they princesses are somehow face certain death a while after completing their destiny and then they reincarnate. this theory works because kairi would be gone if sora didnt revive her and her fate was probably to fight as a guardian of light

27:45 one of the most confusing parts of the tangled world of you didnt see the movie. Basically the world cut out a scene where rapunzle reunited with mother g and her mother basically said "if you believe he likes you, give this back to him and see what he does." The world follows the movie pretty well, but leaves out some critical plot points that make some cutscenes a little confusing to even people who have seen the movie

Roxas did indeed actually meet the trio in 358/2 Days but I guess the explanation could be that they only met a couple times so they wouldn’t remember too much.

The amount of deus ex machina and fan service in this game honestly hurts the storytelling worse than the bad storytelling does.
Story telling? Where? Quick tell the devs so they can ret con it and destroy it too. They failed to write the story properly in the first game and failed to explain the expansions and failed to keep their continuity in check, so naturally it was primed to eventually fall flat and some how it took over ten games and over twenty years to achieve that.
fan service??? I SEE NO- oooh you mean anime boys?
Yeah terra, xion, and Roxas should have just stayed dead. The way they came back was just so forced and confusing.

I actually really liked Face My Fears... more than Don't think twice to be exact.
Jesse Schoedel I don’t agree. Don’t Think Twice actually fits so much better as the ending and Face My Fears has just the right amount of upbeat to hype the player for what’s to come. Just an opinion
Jesse Schoedel Because there are people who get defensive and start arguments when I disagree with them if I don’t make it clear that I’m just stating an opinion and not being confrontational. It happens more often than you think.
@Jesse Schoedel Because opinions are facts now, and facts can be true or false. I miss the simple days when a fact was a true statement, instead of whatever feels right.
Some J ustin The Perverted Summoner with a mustache What a stupid song, lol. They should have used a Deadmau5 track instead.

I thought Keyblades were important. Riku just shrugs off Way to the Dawn being broken. Like, wasn't that a big deal? Didn't the keyblade describe and match him and his journey. Also I don't think his new keyblade even has a name.
19:13
I don't think I'm mentally prepared to see a car version of Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
I agree, Riku's keyblade breaking really bothered me because it was shrugged off so casually. And in retrospect; what was the point of Way to Dawn breaking if it's no big deal at all? Was it just because Nomura thought Riku having a new keyblade seemed cool?
Well, Riku got the Keyblade that look like a bigass car key.
@@Fredcat11 Well yeah, and i do say that his new keyblade looks quite nice to me, after i got used to it looking like a big ass car key. But either Riku losing his first very own keyblade should have had more meaning behind it, or Nomura should have established beforehand that you can get a new keyblade after your previous one is lost forever.
@@Egurius3 Indeed, and Sora experienced this in KH1 as well once Riku ripped it out of his hand upon Sora's arrival in Hollow Bastow or whatever that last stage was with Beast included.
@@Fredcat11 True, but Sora already had Kingdom Key before (Which is of course Sora's canon version on the keyblade) during most of KH1, and he simply gained it back when it chose him in Hollow Bastion before the fight with Riku. So it was a case of losing a keyblade and getting the same keyblade back.
In KH3 Riku's own keyblade was destroyed and was unusable, after which he gained a different one, which apparently can just happen. But the quaestion is how? Did Yen Cid craft him a new keyblade? Can he do that? If so, then maybe we could have had a cutscene to establish that or something.
Riku having a new keyblade just like that is a plot point which deserved more attention and seems pointless, since the story would have been the same if Riku kept using the Way to Dawn.
Wow, I forgot this game came out so long ago. Really thought it was still only a year or two since it slapped us in the face with its silliness.

@SilentJ ripperino
Because you revisit all the worlds. KH1 and 2 had padding, KH3 doesn't really have any, but Dart was right about 100 acre woods. It feels like it's there just to be there, which s fine IMO.@SilentJ
The cooking part is optional except for that one 3 minute level. Doing the little things for Repunzel is optional, but you get a unique item. Collecting crabs is again, optional and if you if you don't like a lot of cutscenes in games, maybe JRPGs are not your thing. @SilentJ
The Spongy Mallard KH1 didn’t really have padding though.
Roxas has actually met Hayner, Pence, and Olette before in the real world. He talks to them a few times during 358/2 days. It was a brief interaction, but enough that his name would sound familiar.
Yeah Mickey sounds like someone who trying to do an impression but is failing horribly
Hey Dartigan, what an awesome video to watch. You did one hell of a job sinning this game. It is so satisfying to hear you talking about the points that I found to be sin worthy, while I was play-ing this game for the first time. You impress me a lot with your wittiness and the way you talk calmly about a subject that obviously bugs you. All I am trying to say is that I enjoy your videos very much and that I am always looking forward for a new one.
28:37 there is a difference between the seven lights and the guardians of light. Riku and Sora and the others are part of the guardians. What I'm trying to say is that that the new seven lights still don't have darkness in them it's just Sora and Riku aren't part of them
Video game devs could really use this guy's input for future titles.
I read somewhere the Phil didn’t have a voice actor because the Japanese seiyu passed away. They wanted to pay respects by not giving Phil a voice in the English version of the game.
for something we waited so long for, the only good things we got out of this game is good graphics and character returns
You say it.
Lol I love how you sinned the opening. But I think it's pretty cool and it actually recaps the entire Kingdom Hearts story and adds in some upbeat music in my opinion anyway
I fuckin love the song tbh
@@kristoferchettleburgh7824 same
It so emotional catchy and so awesome to jam to
Same.. The lyrics also fits the entire game this time around.
Literally the best intro in the series
Wielding two keyblades didn't come from Sora's Kh2 outfit, it came from Ven
Don't you mean Roxas?
Ven was still in him until he was released late game.. So that's no excuse
@ThiefRikku0306 let's not forget Sora can wield a keyblade because of ventus, I think him using it for so long created an effect that gave Sora the ability to keep his keyblade. This is just a theory though.
@ThiefRikku0306 the kingdom key was originally meant for riku, but chose sora because riku went through the darkness. It eventually decided to stay with him permanently because he had a strong heart. So it doesn't really take away from it, I think this knowledge further explains why sora is a keyblade wielder, even though he wasn't chosen.
The devs probably didn't want to program a game mechanic such as dual wielding and then have to remove it from the player when Ven woke up.
The second keyblade Roxas used was Ven's. When Xion died, Roxas forced Ven's heart to awaken and thats why he wielded in the fight against Riku. I believe in an interview or a ultimania Nomura confirms it was Ven was the reason they could dual wield.
With how self aware KH3 can become at times, it’s so jarring not to include Gilgamesh and his fourth wall breaking antics
@Fred Duwe He was talking about Gilgamesh in Final Fantasy.
@Fred Duwe It's fine, it's fine. Gil is just too fucking awesome so we mongrels can't help but think of him when we hear the name.
@Fred Duwe Don't worry, I made the same mistake without knowing who is the one from Fate. Funny to see someone doing the same mistake on the other side.
any gil is a cool gil. the problem is that nomura flat out doesnt want ff in kh anymore xD
Hold on. Disney owns Marvel. 4th wall meta. Deadpool for KH confirmed?
Zexion: "we haven't spoken since the castle".
I don't think Sora ever met Zexion or Lexeaus, so that's another sin.
He didn't.
"I wonder what other parts of her body are magical"
God damnit, Dartigan, now I'm picturing Rapunzel's Magic Healing Vagoobergoo.
Thank you for suffering for us Dartigan.
I suffered when the plot of Tangled gave KH3 a sin
Another sin, Sora should be able to wield more than a keyblade, because the reason wasnt the outfil , it was because he had more than a heart inside of him, just like Roxas. By the way, when Roxas was back, he shouldnt wield two keyblades because he just had his own heart then....
But i guess fan service was more important
if there's anything we've learned in kh, Tetsuya does not care how the keyblades are supposed to work. For all we know, Oathkeeper and oblivion could be so engrained into Roxas' heart, that it still claims the power to call on those keyblades, making him a new keyblade weilder.
Just like how Xion still has the kingdom key and it apparently works, despite it being fake initially.
And theres the fact Sora, Kairi, and Riku were supposed to have inherreted the power of Ventus, Aqua, and Terra's keyblades, yet they still wield the keyblades even with the wayfinder trio back.
Keyblade inherretence is still a cannon thing, as revealed by xigbar.
Riku's keyblade breaks and he just gets a new one (somehow)
We know new keyblades in kh are actually keychains attached to the keyblade, so Riku couldn't have just gone to another world and found one randomly.
In KHuX, new keyblade wielders are made by pretty much just giving them mass produced keyblades.
From this all, we can surmise that Once they wield a keyblade, no matter how it was obtained, the wielder remains a wielder permanantly, and since the power of two keyblades was given to roxas, he earns the right to continue wielding two despite the original hearts they came from being awake. He is no longer a nobody, he transcended heartlessness to gain a heart of his own constructed of unique memories, therefore it's logical his heart on its own is so powerful it can sustain and command both keyblades. Thats two different theories we could look at here just based off what the games tell us.
Dude this game scarifices so many good things for fan service. Literally every bad death has been reversed so everyone can coexist
34:49 I think that the second one was Xion because she joined Sora shortly before Roxas did. The third one has to be Ventus seeing as he has been with Sora for over 10 years. That begs the question as to just WHY wasn't Ventus' Heart released in Kingdom Hearts 1 at the same time that Sora released Kairi's.
I was so disappointed in this game. Toooons of points risen were good, but the gameplay itself is also another major sin.
The way this game turned out I wouldn’t be surprised if there was 50 parts
Ayyyyy been waiting for this! (Loved the game by the way haha)
Edit: Maaaan you hit it on the head, as much as I loved Frozen and Tangled worlds it must have been ridiculously confusing if you haven’t seen the films like thirty times each like I have lol... And there were heart-related plot points sitting!!! Right!!!! There!!! LIKE REALLY.
Main reason why I’d be nervous about them including a Moana world... it seems so simple but seeing how Frozen and Tangled were handled...uhhhh nah...
Someone who has watched neither films here
And I can confirm, those worlds were confusing as hell at times. There were moments when there would be a cut, or a moment when we don't see the world characters and by the time we see them again, you're lost.
Why did Eugene just end up tied to a boat? How did he get out? Why did he need the crown???
Why was Elsa running? Did she hurt someone with her powers? Howd she become queen if everyone is afraid of her? Are they? Why did that guy(the one who frozen Anna repelled) want to kill her??
I already decided id watch all the movies I missed and replay the game to see if it feels any different. Because this time around you need to apparently
The Dark One I watched them beforehand just in case and yeah nope, those worlds feels more disconnected and a huge miss for what they could have done. And everything about the frozen world was the worst. AND THEY PRETTY MUCH FOR YOU TO BE THERE IF YOURE TRYING TO 100% 😤
I've never seen tangled and it's pretty obvious he stole the crown to sell it for a profit correct me if I'm wrong
justin allen You’re right yeh! But they didn’t show the scene explaining how Flynn escaped from prison which I think was the biggest oversight ha. The rest can kind of be hand-waved away but I think they should have left more story beats in.
@@thedarkone7887 You forgot about the "Who the fuck is Eugene?" It wouldn't have been so bad if they had done a better job including more contextually relevant scenes.
Here's a bunch of comments:
- No sin for the fact that Hades' 18-year plan doesn't even make sense? In the movie, he tries to drain Hercules of his power because he'd gotten a prophecy that said that Hercules would defeat the Titans if he interfered. Here he just... sets Thebes on fire for a little bit and hopes that will permanently incapacitate Hercules?
- Sora dabs in Dream Drop Distance if you use Break Time.
- Hayner, Pence, and Olette DO meet Roxas. Albeit very briefly in Days to the point where it wouldn't have had a lasting impact on them.
- The New Seven Lights are new Princesses of Heart (Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna, etc.), not the 7 fighting Xehanort.
- Sora also knows that Vanitas looks like him since he saw him in DDD. Except later in the game he doesn't because bad writing.
- Ansem SoD is not talking about Xion to real Ansem. He's talking about the girl that Saix and Axel talk about later.
Sofia the First should have been one of those new Princesses of Heart, and had an appearance in this game.
@@Disneyfan82 Oh dear

I’m disappointed that you didn’t sin the fact that Gummi ships run on happiness (they even got kicked out onto Tarzan’s world in kingdom hearts 1 when Sora frowns) and in this game Sora is constantly sulking but it works just fine
I would argue that the plot isn’t convoluted aside from one small retcon that isn’t even that big of a deal. It’s just really complex and 3 is like MGS4. A gift to the dedicated fans.
Not a good thing to be compared to MGS4 though. MGS4 is deemed one of the less popular games in its franchise because of its "cram in fanservice but very poorly" philosophy (even retroactively ruining some characters in the process) and the overabundance of cutscenes.

You know, for a series that talks about how the worlds are separated and only a select few can travel between them, there are an awful lot of worlds that have easy access to other worlds. Alice in Wonderland has at least two worlds, Neverland, Monstro seems to travel through space, Hades' underworld apparently gets souls from every world, Halloween Town has doors that connect to several other holiday world, Monsters Inc has traveling to a human world and the Lilo and Stitch one also involved people who could seemingly freely travel to different worlds. Its a very big plot hole that SOOOOO many worlds have easy ways to go to other worlds while the Multiverse Keyblade Warriors have to find Keyholes and random important items.
