We would like to share our new exciting adventure of having twins with friends and family!!! Also, we would like to have some video memories that the kids can watch and enjoy later in life.

Our Magic Chef is alive and well thanks to your video! 🍷🍸🥂
Thank you! Was ready to buy a new unit then my wife found this video. Ordered parts on Amazon and next day the fridge was working again. Great video!
Thank you! SO helpful! Wine fridge is fixed because of you. Saved me tons of money ... and would have been a shame to see this great fridge in a landfill. Thanks again!
So happy for you to take on this challenge. Most people would toss it and buy new. It takes a certain kind of person to do what you did. Congrats!!
I want to thank you for this. I have the exact wine cooler, maybe a bit older, and I was able to follow your video and successfully change those parts...and my wine cooler is working again. Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I was thinking of buying a new wine cooler but your video saved me. Ordered the parts and my wine cooler is working thus far.
Thank you for this video!! I am not giving up on my refrigerator!!
Wow! I'm going to try to troubleshoot this myself. You are a huge inspiration!
The Most common problem (with wine fridges)malfunctiong is deterioration or breaking of the part called: “Compressor Relay” Inside this is a disc the size of a nickel. They break & cause people to think the fridge is trash. Also (in the video) she bought a Overload Relay which 99% of the time you don’t need & can reuse the original. Lastly WHEN you take off the bad “Compressor Relay”- shake it. If it rattles the disc inside is broke. Replace this 1 part & you should be Up & Running!🎉
Replaced both and still will run for awhile then go right back to warm. Then I unplug it for 2 days let it drain water all over the floor plug it back in then it works for a few months.
How do you know which wires to connect to the relay
@lokipoki444 just looks at the ones you have now before you remove them or take a picture
Thank you so much for saving us hundreds!!!
Thank you for this inspiration! I was able to repair my fridge. Not only did it save me $800 (buying a new one) but it also meant one less waste to go into the environment.
Thank you! This is a great video. Like you I didn't know anything about refrigerator parts or repair. I'm pretty good with household repairs in general, however, and I followed your instructions and success! I wonder how many people scrap an old refrigerator when it doesn't need it. Amazon was helpful in finding the right parts and the whole repair cost me only about $14, and a couple hours of time. If I didn't have clumsy fingers I could have done it faster. As you mention, part numbers change but they are the same part. You can make as many videos about repair as you want. Your clear narration is great too.
You rock!! Excellent explanation of every detail, . Thank x 100!!
AWESOME! I just found one at a. Thrift for $35 and so far it works but if it doesn’t your video helped🙋🏾♀️
Thank you very much for your help. You are cool and explained everything perfectly.
Followed this video exactly and got my wine cooler working again!
It's vibrating! I'd be nervous touching those parts. Thanks for posting!
Good job creating an informative video. We replaced just the refrigerator starter relay and that did the trick! Thank you so much!
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
Great video. I'll check my refrigerator. I hope it works. 🙏
My fridge is now working thanks to your video!😀
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
Thank you so much for the video on fixing my Magic Chef Wine Fridge. It worked!! You saved me $500 and a lot of work.
You’re welcome glad it helped!
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
Thank you, I will try to do it myself.
Great jump start to fixing mine! Mine WAS cooling, but then I would hear a click (metallic ping sound, liketapping the side of the compressor with a pencil or something) and then the temps in both compartments would rise 15 degrees or so. I would later hear the same click-ping, and temps would regulate again. I decided to try this relay/overload kit figuring it may likely be the cause, just not sure how mine was "half-working". Voila! Fixed! When I pulled my old relay out, it rattled when shook, so definitely broken. Add my symptoms to the "will also fix this" list. Thanks!
Very helpful! I think I have the same problem!
Thank you, thank you!
This also fixed my Magic Chef wine fridge! Thank you so much for these details and good videography! I saved hundreds of dollars:)
You’re welcome! Glad it helped!

Three years after you posted this and it's still helping people! Just brought my Magic Chef back from the dead thanks to this video. Used the affiliate link for one of the parts, the other wasn't available any longer, hopefully you got credit from the recommended substitute.
Glad it helped!! Thanks for watching and using the link!
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
I found your video, and I was able to fix my magic chef wine cooler. I'm so happy it works! Thank you, you saved me alot of money!
Glad to hear your fridge is running again!!
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
Definitely giving you a 👍..
A: for the fact you set out to research and fix it yourself.. and
B: because I fixed mine from your video post and it works again..
Thank you 😊
Thank you for the thumbs up! Glad it got your fridge going!
Hi Shelly, by making this video you helped work out a miraculous resurrection of our Magic Chef beverage cooler! It's a very old fridge and it stop working years ago, and we were just using it to store pantry items like ramen and coffee beans.... but thanks to you, we have a LIVE, WORKING fridge again!!!!!!!! I am so thankful for your efforts in researching everything and then clearly explaining it in your video (and for providing the links to the parts)! It cost me just under $25 for the parts and I feel so good to not have to toss something into landfill, too! You rock.
You’re welcome! Thank you for the wonderful comment!! Glad to hear the video helped get your fridge working!!!
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
It worked, at least for now. Some of the comments say that it works for a little while and then has problems again so we'll wait and see!
Well I just found one haven't tried it out as yet but the inside looks brand new and also smell brand new inside I think I found a good one. Until I seen your video now I know what I have
Your GREAT! Thank you! Unfortunately I also had the E3 problem which means re-wiring the fans (not a bad job either). Your video was VERY helpful. Although I will admit I had a much harder time undoing the electrical plugs than you did....but using pilers I got them off. Putting them on was as easy as you show. Thanks again, fixed a $800 cooler for $25 and a few bad words.
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
I deleted my pictures, but as I remember it does not matter, both prongs are the same color. Usually if it matters one prong would be gold and one silver. @@lokipoki444
So many positive feedbacks on this video. I also found the explanations kinda easy to understand. Wondering if we can apply it to a GE profile wine cooler which stopped cooling after a massive power outage. Or is it not advisable since the video is meant for Magic Chef. A novice here, so quite frankly, am anxious
Okay, my fridge is this fridge and also hasn't been cooling properly for about a year now. Repair guys are telling me $180 just to come look at the thing and they are $400+ new (and then I'd have to transport the thing). For $36 in parts, it's worth a try. Will report back to see if I am succesful.
UPDATE: So I thought I left some follow-up comments under this one but it looks like they've been deleted, maybe... anyway...
I tried the replacement with the relay part # indicated in the video description above. This turned out to be the wrong relay (it was a 2-pin relay with a different part # than mine) and it roughly half-fixed the problem (cool temps but nothing below 53F), so I returned that relay and bought the correct replacement. And that failed to do anything. So it was worth a try, but I'm just going to have to buy a new fridge.
Good video. I replaced both parts. Temperature went from the mid 70's in both compartments to 51 on top and 62 on bottom. Neither temperature has gotten any cooler after 24 hours. The fan has already been replaced and is working. The compressor is running but does feel hot. Not sure what other part could be not working.
Thanks so much for the clear instructions. My machine wouldn't get cold and I replaced these 2 parts and at first try it worked, the temperature kept dropping, but after a few minutes I moved the machine to its original location, it stopped working again.
Clearly, the problem is the location!

Nothing like a pretty woman making things work! Cheers!
Thanks for your video. I’ve made this repair and It worked. I’ve noticed this fridge will freeze over if you have it too stocked. Unplug it and allow it to thaw and it will work again. I keep thinking it’s the end of this fridge and it just keeps going with minor hiccups like this repair.
Happy to hear it helped!
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
Mine is a Magic Chef
MCBC580DBT
2582
Not the same model as yours, but looks similar.
Do you think both parts are needed? Or just the black one?
Thank you so much for making this video. What was the numbers of the parts you bought from Amazon?
The part numbers are in the description and there are links to them as well.
Question… did your compressor turn on and it wasn’t cooling? Or did the compressor not come on at all?
How do I know which wires go where back on the relay?
I have a similar problem. My compressor does not run although everything else seems to be fine. I have measured the voltage supplied to the compressor (red and blue wires) and measured essentially zero voltage. since where I measured is electrically "ahead" of the two parts you replaced, it seems my problem is not with these two parts. If the wine fridge senses a problem and does not power up the compressor, and would send power if the two parts are replaced, then replacing the parts would fix my problem. But this seems unlikely. Could you tell me if you measured the voltage across the two wires that carry power to the compressor/relay/overload assembly?
Thanks
Tom
We must have got lucky and replaced the parts and the cooler worked after that.
Damn... didn't work. Anything else I can try?
Update! Opened up the circuits inside and found a fried relay with a burnt pin. Resoldered a new one and it's working like a charm. More invasive but I was happy to give your option a try first.
I just ordered the parts. Has this repair held up for all that have replaced these parts?
It helped us. Some it had not. Hope it helps you.
Thank you! This was so easy. We bought the pieces and were able to fix our Magic Chef wine cooler for less than $25😃
Update....it stopped cooling😕
Sorry it did not fix your fridge. Hope you get it working.
I have the same exact issue. Have you figured out yours? I realize that even after replacing those parts mentioned in this video, this little fan on the bottom is not turning
@@chaimweiss3811my top cools my bottom won't go under 48 even when the temp is set to 36. Also the bottom fan doesn't spin.
How do you know which wire to connect to which prong on the relay?
Changed the 2 parts and it works but compressor gets pretty warm, cant keep hand on it, is that normal?
Ours the compressor would not turn on and the two parts fixed it. Not sure on the hotness. Could be normal. Could be the coils and fans are dirty or not working. Could be low on Freon or have bigger system issue. Probably would take an actual repair specialist or another RUclips video. Thanks for watching!
Please provide more detail as to what exactly were the symptoms.
Our fridge would light up. And the fan would run but condenser would not kick on. And it would not get cold.
Can you please re-comment the links in? Thanks for this video!
Links are in the description.
A bottle of Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac for the young lady!!
I replaced the parts but still got the EEF error. Any suggestions?
We did not have that error on our fridge. Only suggestions we can find are: check and see if all the fans are working, the coils are clean, and have the Freon checked/tested.
@@FIELDSROBERT okay, thank you
What is the parts e.ail address
Links in the description of the video.
I replace both parts there and still turns on but doesn't cool
I did the fix with the new parts as instructed in the video. It worked for two days then died again. Very frustrating. Good video though.
We ordered the parts and it worked for about 30 minutes, then stopped working again, any suggestions?
Maybe it’s overheating? Is the fan working? Or there is something more wrong with it than just the relays.
Don’t see the link to the parts?
Tony I put a *****parts for fridge**** in the description. They are the two LG parts with links.
Don’t see the link for the parts?
Do I need to set reset the reset button or does it have a fuse in it for the magic chef refrigerator 19 or 2017
My 5 years old refrigerator
We did not need to do anything with a reset button.
I replaced the two parts but it still doesn't work. I checked the compressor with a volt meter and it was okay.
Does it sound like the fridge is running and that the compressor is kicking on?
@@FIELDSROBERT I'm having similar issue. Everything kicks on but no cold air, just room temp. Thank you for this video!
All these videos say the same thing. It's not cooling. But nobody ever says whether the compressor is actually running when it's not cooling, which is the case with mine. I bought the start relay and overload but nothing changed. So it seems that if your compressor is actually running, making noise, then this is not the fix. I'm guessing my compressor has some internal failure.
