I think this is wrong, or I don't know, but as far as I know the song comes from the musical "Cabaret" that came out back in the 60's, Minelli only gave life to one important role, qs far as I know, she played one of the main characters, "Sally Bowles," in the 1972 film version, and she became an icon in this field.

You know, I hate it when people compare and pick favorites between artists. Case in point, Judy and Liza. I love them both and respect each of them for their individual talents. Why must people pick favorites? I see so much of Judy in Liza but that doesn't mean I blur the lines and incessantly compare the two. I love them both for what they have shared with their public. They are both amazing performers and the world would be a sadder, colder place without having known either of them.

We saw her at Sunrise Musical Theatre in south Florida in 1982. She has a huge stage presence and is a first rate performer. Unforgettable!

Forgot to mention that we saw this wonderful show at the beautiful Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan in 1988. The BEST show that we have ever seen!
